Definitions

  • the invention relates to an arrangement for protecting a person, designed with a fall arrest device to secure the person against falling when climbing a climbing route and with a connecting element designed for connecting to the person to be protected.
  • Arrangements to protect a person from falling are usually prescribed when the person is performing activities where there is a risk of falling, for example working at a height where serious injuries can be expected if the person falls from this height.
  • activities take place in industrial applications, for example on tall buildings, skyscrapers, bridges, towers, chimneys, cranes or ships on the high seas, as well as on elevators or aerial work platforms.
  • PPE personal protective equipment against falls
  • the harness often has a trouser and chest strap or a combination strap.
  • An anchor point can be fixed or movable as a fixed rope, eyelet, railing, etc. and can be firmly anchored to the environment, such as a climbing path, a wall or a building, for example with a ring nut with a hanger bolt.
  • the anchor point for a fixed rope routed through the anchor point represents an obstacle for a carabiner attached to the fixed rope.
  • the carabiner of the PSA must be hung past the anchor point. If the person is secured by two connecting means and corresponding carabiners as connecting elements between the PPE and the fixed rope, the first connecting element of the PPE is first unhooked from the anchor point and hooked back into the same or the next anchor point after the anchor point. The second connection element of the PSA is then unhooked and also hooked into the same anchor point or the next anchor point after the anchor point.
  • the two fasteners of the PSA allow with error-free operation, an uninterrupted backup, provided that at least one connecting element is always hooked into an anchorage point.
  • DE 10 2012 212192 A1 and DE 10 2012 212190 A1 each describe arrangements for protecting a person against falling.
  • the essential point of the invention is therefore that the person is continuously secured against falling by means of the proposed arrangement. This is achieved in that climbing, or even walking, on the climbing path is only possible when the person is secured by the collecting device and/or the connecting element. This prevents the person from being able to climb the climbing path unsecured. Should the person nevertheless fall while climbing the climbing path, the person is secured against falling by the fall arrest device to which the person is connected. On the other hand, detaching the person from the catching device, for example when the person has completely climbed the climbing path, is only possible if the person is connected to the connecting element and secured in this way with the connecting element. Changing the person's position, ie interrupting the safety device provided for the person by the catching device, is therefore only possible if there is already another safety device for the person, ie by connecting the person to the connecting element.
  • the invention provides an arrangement that ensures that the person is continuously secured from entering to leaving a system in which the arrangement for protecting the person is installed. This is accomplished in that the collecting device and the connecting element communicate electrically with one another in a wireless manner. It is further preferred that the collecting device and the connecting element each have a locking device and/or a position sensor for the locking device, by means of which unintentional opening can be prevented or an existing locking device can be detected.
  • the respective locking device or the position sensor is preferably configured electromechanically and is in wireless electrical communication with the respective other locking device or the position sensor. Configured in this way, it can be determined by the locking device or by the position sensor of the connecting element when the person is connected to the connecting element.
  • the connecting element communicates to the catching device wirelessly and electrically that the catching device can be detached from the person.
  • the locking device or the position sensor of the catching device and/or the connecting element can enable the person to climb the climbing route after detecting that the person has been connected to the catching device or the connecting element by means of wireless electrical communication.
  • the term “climbing” means not only climbing, but also descending, climbing and moving along a route, such as any movement of the person, starting from a starting position, in a horizontal or vertical direction, towards a Target position where it is advisable to secure the person against falling.
  • So-called personal protective equipment against falls, PSA can be used to connect to the person, which is usually designed from a harness, a shock absorber and/or one or two connecting means.
  • the connecting means preferably has a strap or rope which connects the harness carrying the person to a carabiner, with the carabiner particularly preferably being designed as a connecting element.
  • the harness can consist of a trouser belt and a chest belt or a combination belt, with the connecting element preferably having a receptacle, a lock with a locking device and a connection point. More preferably, a release means is provided, which is in wireless electrical communication with the catching device and the connecting element and is designed to only release the climbing route for the person to climb after the person has been connected to the catching device and/or the connecting element and/or is configured such that the person can only detach himself from the collecting device after the person has been connected to the connecting element.
  • the connecting element can be connected, for example, to the catching device or to an attachment point to which the connecting element is to be attached.
  • the closure is preferably part of the connecting element and is used to open or close the receptacle.
  • the locking device is more preferably a device that prevents the unintentional opening of the lock. More preferably, the connection means leading to the secured person is attached to the connection point.
  • the connecting element can be designed as a stop point.
  • both the collecting device and the connecting element each have a receptacle, a closure with a locking device and/or a connection point.
  • at least one electrical coil which is arranged concentrically around the receptacle, can be provided in the respective receptacle, so that a stop point arranged in the receptacle, or another receptacle through which an alternating current flows, for example, can be reliably detected.
  • the current flowing in the attachment point or in the other receptacle is a signal and can be used to identify the attachment point or the other receptacle.
  • Such an attachment point can, for example, be current-carrying steel, the current and voltage preferably being so low that touching the attachment point does not disturb the person.
  • the electric coil instead of the electric coil, other sensors can be used that can detect the magnetic field or the electric field of a current-carrying attachment point or a recording with regard to the strength and/or direction of the magnetic field lines or the electric field.
  • coils are particularly preferred because of their robustness and ease of evaluation.
  • the collecting device and the connecting element are designed for wireless electrical communication with one another in such a way that the connection of a person to the collecting device or the connecting element can be detected by the collecting device and/or the connecting element, for example by the means outlined above Configuration by means of an electrical coil in the collecting device or the connecting element.
  • the collecting device and the connecting element each have a communication means, in particular a radio module, for wireless electrical communication with one another.
  • the electrical communication takes place by means of Bluetooth, RFID, NFC, infrared, GSM and/or WLAN.
  • the means of communication is preferably battery-operated, with the means of communication more preferably being designed in such a way that the means of communication can go into a sleep state in order to save electrical energy.
  • RFID or NFC tags can be provided for communication by means of RFID or NFC, such as portable elements with small dimensions in the range of, for example, a few centimeters, so less than 5 cm in diameter or edge length.
  • the collecting device can be designed with such an RFID tag, and the connecting element with a corresponding RFID reading unit, or vice versa.
  • the wireless electrical communication can be based, for example, on capacitive coupling, inductive coupling or on electromagnetic waves.
  • the wireless electrical communication can operate, for example, at 120-135 kHz, 13.56 MHz or 865-869 MHz, although other frequencies, in particular higher frequencies, are also possible.
  • the RFID or NFC tag may also include an antenna, analog circuitry for sending and receiving, digital circuitry such as a microcontroller, and memory.
  • Authorization information can be stored in the memory, for example in the form of a number or identifier, which can be unique, for example due to a respective tag.
  • the authorization information can, for example, be modulated onto a high-frequency signal generated by an RFID or NFC reading unit, for example in the form of load modulation.
  • the reading unit can then thereby receive the authorization information from the tag.
  • RFID or NFC tags or reading units are specified, for example, according to ISO standards 18000, 11784/11785 and/or ISO/IEC standard 14443 and 15693, although other specifications that go beyond this are also possible.
  • the communication means can be designed in such a way that only a previously defined combination of collecting device and connecting element can communicate with one another and/or can be connected to one another. It may also be the case that climbing the ascent route can depend on the type of catching device and/or the connecting element, whereby a query for previously stored authorization information by the means of communication or a control device provided in the catching device and/or the connecting element, e.g by a microcontroller.
  • a central device such as a server, to be provided, which also communicates wirelessly electrically with the collecting device and the connecting element and/or controls the communication with and between the collecting device and connecting element.

  • the fall arrester and/or the fall arrester is preferably designed such that, in the event of a fall, the person secured by the fall arrester or fall arrester is caught by the fall arrester or fall arrester with automatic braking.
  • an energy absorber integrated into or arranged on the fall arrester or the fall arrester can be provided, which causes the secured person to be gently caught.
  • the guide is preferably designed as a safety rail or as a safety cable.
  • the guide and the fall arrester each have an electronic coding
  • the guide and/or the fall arrester are designed for wireless electrical communication with one another in such a way that only if a combination of the electrical codings is permitted It is possible to connect the fall arrester to the guide for climbing the climbing route and/or climbing the climbing route is only possible with a permitted combination of electronic coding.
  • Such a configuration can ensure that only permitted and approved combinations of climbing protection runners and climbing protection rails can be used as a guide for the climbing protection runner. This can also prevent the person from falling in the case of a non-approved combination that is not certified, for example.
  • the wireless electrical communication between the guide and the climbing protection runner is particularly preferred by means of RFID, so that, for example, the climbing protection runner has an RFID reading unit and the guide has an RFID tag.
  • a release device which is designed to release access to the climbing route, wherein the release device for wireless electrical communication with the collecting device and the connecting element is designed in such a way that the release device only releases access to the climbing route when the Connecting element is connected to the climbing protection runner and / or the climbing protection runner with the guide.
  • this configuration can ensure that access to the climbing route only opens when the person to be secured is suspended in the catching device and the catching device, in this case designed as a climbing protection runner, is connected to the guide or to the guide rail designed as a guide is introduced.
  • the release device can be designed, for example, as a bolt or as a flap for the guide, which only releases access to the climbing path when the connecting element is connected to the climbing protection runner and/or the climbing protection runner is connected to the guide. More preferably, the release device has an electromagnetic actuation device, by means of which a mechanical release, and preferably also blocking, of the climbing path is possible.
