Description

The invention relates to a buckle assembly for a webbing according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a buckle assembly for a webbing may be, for example, a buckle assembly for the chin straps of a ski helmet or a bicycle helmet. However, the buckle arrangement can also be, for example, a buckle arrangement for the shoulder straps of a backpack or for the straps of a life jacket.

Such a buckle assembly for a webbing comprises a buckle body which has at least one contact section and can be connected to at least one webbing, wherein in a connected state at least one first contact section of the at least one webbing rests against the at least one contact section.

Buckle assemblies of the type mentioned are known in various embodiments and may include, for example, double-D buckles, Doppelstegschnallen, Dreistegschnallen, Leiterstegschnallen, sliding buckles or buckles.

Frequently, such buckle assemblies serve for a length-adjustable fixation of a webbing arrangement. The fixation of the webbing arrangement is generally based on a non-positive connection between at least one webbing part and a portion of the buckle body and / or between different webbing parts in the region of the buckle body.

The clamping effect, which is the basis of the non-positive connection, is particularly effective in many buckle assemblies, especially when a directed tensile force acts on at least one strap end. Accordingly, there is often the problem that with an unloaded webbing arrangement, that is, in the absence of directed tensile forces on at least one webbing end, the length fixation of a webbing arrangement by the buckle assembly is ensured only unreliable. For example, the chin straps of a bicycle helmet that are initially not lashed tightly by means of a buckle assembly may over time loosen. This undesirable effect is exacerbated by the movement of the chin, that is, by irregular pulling forces on the straps.

At one of the WO 2013/019610 A2 Known buckle assembly is a loop on a webbing arranged to prevent accidental adjustment of the webbing. The loop is provided separately from a buckle body, which can lead to the - intentional - obstructing the adjustment of the webbing and thus becomes more cumbersome for a user.

Object of the present invention is to provide a buckle assembly for a webbing available, which ensures a reliable length-adjustable fixation of a webbing arrangement in a simple and cost-effective manner.

This object is achieved by a buckle assembly for a webbing with the features of claim 1.

Accordingly, the buckle assembly further comprises a buckle disposed on the buckle body, which is closed circumferentially and defines an opening. The clamping loop is disposed on the abutment portion around the buckle body such that the buckle body extends through the opening. The clamping loop is also formed in the connected state to the Applying plant section adjacent plant section with a force in the direction of the at least one contact section.

The clamping loop provides in the connected state of the buckle body and the at least one webbing an additional frictional connection between a plant section of a webbing and a contact portion of the buckle body, which is independent of directed tensile forces on a Gurtbandende. In this way, the unwanted loosening of the length fixation of an unloaded or temporarily unloaded webbing arrangement can be completely or partially avoided.

The clamping loop may in particular have the shape of a circumferentially closed ring, for example in the form of a so-called O-ring. The clamping loop is preferably flexibly deformable in itself and furthermore advantageously elastic in length, that is to say it can be stretched along its circumferential direction.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the clamping loop can be designed to be elastic. In particular, the clamping loop may be resiliently biased in the connected state of the buckle body and the at least one webbing. The force in the direction of the at least one contact portion is then wholly or partially effected by the elastic bias of the clamping loop.

In a further development of the buckle assembly, the buckle body has at least one holding device, which is designed to prevent the clamping loop from sliding down the buckle body along a main loading direction in which a loading force acts on the at least one webbing. Thus, the clamping loop can be easily held on the buckle body in the region of the contact section.

In one variant, the holding device comprises at least one protrusion projecting from the buckle body, which supports the clamping loop in the main loading direction. A sliding down of the clamping loop of the buckle body along the main loading direction can be prevented in this way by the projection.

In one embodiment, the clamping loop is integrally connected to the buckle body. For example, a portion of the clamping loop with a section be glued or welded the buckle body. A possible loss of the clamping loop is thus prevented.

In a further embodiment, the clamping loop is formed integrally with the buckle body. In this way, a loss of the clamping loop can also be avoided, wherein the manufacturing cost of such an integrally formed arrangement of the buckle body and clamping loop in consequence of fewer assembly steps can be particularly favorable.

In a variant of the buckle assembly according to the invention, in the connected state, at least one second plant section of the at least one webbing or other webbing abuts against the at least one first planting section, the at least one second conditioning section being acted upon by the clamping loop with the force in the direction of the at least one contact section becomes. Thus, a non-positive connection can be created not only between the abutment portion of the buckle body and the first plant section of the webbing, but also between the first plant section and the second plant section. Accordingly, a particularly strong adhesion can be generated, which effectively counteracts an unwanted loosening of the length fixing of the webbing arrangement.

In this case, the webbing is looped around a web of the buckle body, for example, so that the first contact part and the second contact part of the webbing come to lie in the area of the contact portion of the buckle body and are subjected to force by the clamping loop, in order to friction the contact parts with the contact portion To increase and in this way an adjustment of the plant sections to each other - especially in a state in which no or only low tensile forces acting on the webbing - to prevent or at least complicate.

In an advantageous embodiment, the buckle assembly comprises at least one double-D ring buckle, double-bar buckle, three-bar buckle, ladder buckle, sliding buckle or clamp buckle. In the case of such buckles, the problem of undesired loosening of the length fixing of a strap in the unloaded state described at the beginning occurs frequently, so that the buckle arrangement according to the invention can be used here in a particularly advantageous manner.

The webbing is preferably not elastic along its longitudinal direction. The webbing may for example be made of a fabric or leather or the like.

A buckle assembly of the type described herein may advantageously be used on rucksacks, bags, suitcases or containers of other types. A buckle assembly of the type described here can also be used on helmets, especially, ski, bicycle or motorcycle helmets or wherever an adjustment of a webbing is to be prevented relative to the buckle body used.

The Figures 1A and 1B show from different perspectives a buckle assembly 1 for a webbing, as it can come in many ways, for example on a piece of clothing, a helmet or a bag used. The buckle assembly 1 comprises a buckle body 10, which is designed to be brought with a second buckle body 11 in a releasable latching connection.

The buckle body 10 is connected to a webbing 2. In this case, a webbing end 20 of the webbing 2 is wrapped around a web 102 of the buckle body 10 in known manner by webbing buckles and led out of the buckle body 10 along a direction Z of the webbing. The buckle body 10 has an abutment portion 101 on which in the illustrated connected state a first abutment portion 21 of the webbing 2 is applied.

In a unloaded state 2, that is, when no tensile force Z acts on the webbing 2, the length of a webbing assembly comprising the webbing 2 can be adjusted by pushing on the webbing 2 and pulling on the webbing end 20. In a loaded state of the webbing arrangement, in which a tensile force Z acts on the webbing 2, jam, as in the sectional view in Figure 1C to recognize, adjacent first and second bearing parts 21, 22 of the webbing 2 to each other and to the contact portion 101 of the buckle body 10 that a displacement against each other and thus a length adjustment of the webbing arrangement is prevented.

In this case, in other embodiments, the strap end 20 may also be guided around more than one web 102 in the manner of a two-web, three-web or ladder buckle in order to increase the frictional forces acting and to reinforce the frictional connection.

In order to counteract an undesirable length adjustment of the webbing arrangement in the unloaded state, a clamping loop 13 is arranged on the buckle body 10. The clamping loop 13 is circumferentially closed and defines an opening 130. For example, the clamping loop 13 may be a circumferentially closed flexible ring in the manner of an O-ring.

In the illustrated connected state, the buckle body 10 extends through the opening 130, so that the clamping loop 13 fully engages the contact portion 101 of the buckle body 10.

The webbing 2, with which the buckle body 10 is connected, likewise extends through the clamping loop 13, so that the clamping loop 13 in particular also completely surrounds the first and second contact section 21, 22 of the webbing 2.

The clamping loop 13 acts on the contact section 21 of the webbing 2 with a force K in the direction of the contact section 101. At the same time, the clamping loop 13 acts on the second contact section 22 of the webbing, which bears against the first contact section 21, with a force K in the direction of the contact section 101 and in the direction of the first investment section 21.

Preferably, the clamping loop 13 is designed to be elastic for this purpose. For example, the clamping loop 13 may be made of a length-elastic material such as silicone or a thermoplastic elastomer.

In particular, such an elastic clamping loop 13 may be elastically biased in the illustrated connected state of the buckle body 10 and the at least one webbing 2. An elastic prestress of the clamping loop 13 can already be generated, for example, by the fact that the buckle body 10 extends through the opening 130 of the clamping loop 13. The force K can, for example, be wholly or partly effected by the elastic prestressing of the clamping loop 13.

By the force K, the first plant section 21 and the second plant section 22 of the webbing 2 are so non-positively fixed to each other and / or to the contact portion 101 of the buckle body 10 that even in the unloaded state of the webbing arrangement, that is, in the absence of tensile force Z (or only low tensile force Z) on the webbing 2, an unwanted length adjustment of the webbing arrangement is completely or partially avoided.

As based on Figure 1A recognizable, the buckle body 10 as a holding device 103 has a projection which prevents the clamping loop 13 along a main loading direction Z, in which the tensile force Z acts as a loading force on the at least one webbing 2, from the buckle body 10 slides down. The projection supports the clamping loop 13 in the main loading direction Z. A sliding down of the clamping loop 13 from the buckle body 10 along the main loading direction Z can be prevented in this way by the projection 103.

But it is also conceivable that the holding device 103 is not formed as a projection, but in another way, for example as a recess or groove. With such a holding device 103, the clamping loop 13 can be held in a simple manner in the region of the abutment portion 101 on the buckle body 10.

In order to ensure the proper arrangement of the clamping loop 13 on the buckle body 10 at any time and to prevent loss of the clamping loop 13 in a disassembled state of the buckle assembly 1, it may be advantageous to connect the clamping loop 13 cohesively with the buckle body 10. For example, the clamping loop 13 may be glued or welded to a lateral portion of the buckle body 10.

In a variant, the clamping loop 13 may also be formed integrally with the buckle body 10. This can bring the advantage of a particularly simple and cost-effective installation of the buckle assembly 1 with it.
