  • the width of the air gap may amount to from approx. 0,5 mm to approx. 2 mm, and should not allow that the knife-edge reaches up to the base 14 of the device in the most separated position of the tools.
  • each one of the tools consists of a number of, and more precisely at least two or more, separate segments 2', 2", etc. and 3', 3", etc., respectively, which are individually movably mounted in the appurtenant holder 7 and 8. Consequently, each one of the segments features a boss individually mounted in the holder, and each segment is assigned a separate spring, which biases the individual segment individually in the direction from the holder, i.e., toward the opposite tool in the fitted position of the tools.

  • a rotation-controlled setting function may alternatively be realised in the form of two rotatably arranged plates 25 having cam curves formed in the upper sides of the plates , the two plates being in engagement with each other by external teeth for simultaneous and similar rotation on the respective shafts thereof.
  • the angular setting may be arranged to be effected in fixed steps or continuously variably, wherein, at least in the latter case, the setting function may comprise a locking, which fixes the tools in the set position.
  • the intermediate angle ⁇ between tools/contact surfaces may be varied within an angle interval, which may amount to the order of 15-60°, or if required even more.
  • An advantage achieved by the invention is a simplified production of tools and segments. This advantage is possibly the greatest what concerns tools consisting of ceramic material, because pressing and sintering of flat segments is a considerably less complicated process than, e.g., the production of an integrally formed and segmented block.
  • the tool of the device according to the invention consists of individually movably mounted and biased segments, the need of finishing and complex mould manufacturing largely disappears, and therefore, production of tools of metal or plastic is also considerably simplified compared with production of continuous blocks.

Claims (7)

  1. Dispositif agencé pour le traitement d'une arête de coupe, comprenant des outils (2 ; 3), qui sont situés à l'opposé les uns des autres par paires et dont chacune comprend deux segments (2', 2", 2"' ; 3', 3", 3"') ou plus, qui sont agencés au niveau d'espaces et présentent une surface de contact respective (5 ; 6), au moins un des outils (2 ; 3) affichant des segments présentant une surface de contact active, de meulage ou de dressage ou de polissage, et les segments d'un outil étant agencés pour, en relation de chevauchement, s'engager alternativement entre les segments de l'outil opposé, de sorte que, entre les segments des outils situés à l'opposé les uns des autres, une encoche en forme de V (20) est formée pour l'insertion d'une arête de coupe, qui, en contact avec les surfaces de contact des segments, doit être traitée par un mouvement longitudinal de l'arête de coupe dans la direction longitudinale de l'encoche, les outils étant mutuellement mobiles pour l'adaptation de la largeur et de la profondeur de l'encoche en fonction de la charge de l'arête de coupe sur les outils, dans lequel l'outil individuel (2 ; 3) affiche un support (7 ; 8) dans lequel les deux segments (2', 2", 2"' ; 3', 3", 3"') ou plus sont montés individuellement de manière mobile et, indépendamment des autres segments du même outil, sont sollicités par ressort vers l'outil opposé, et caractérisé en ce que chaque segment est associé à une butée d'extrémité intérieure (18) et extérieure (19), qui détermine la longueur de mouvement possible du segment, celle-ci étant déterminée de telle sorte que, dans les positions d'extrémité extérieures des segments, une ouverture en forme de fente (21) est formée entre les segments des outils opposés, dans le fond de l'encoche en forme de V.
  2. Dispositif selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce qu'il affiche une base (14), dans le côté orienté vers le haut de laquelle une rainure respective (13) est formée, formant un guidage pour chacun des segments mobiles individuellement (2', 3', etc.), les butées d'extrémité extérieure et intérieure étant agencées dans les fonds desdites rainures.
  3. Dispositif selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce qu'au moins un des outils (2 ; 3) est agencé de manière ajustable par le fait que le support qui en dépend (7 ; 8) est agencé de manière tournante sur un joint pivotant (24), et réajustable à partir d'une première position, dans lequel les segments (2', 2", 2", 2"' ; 3', 3", 3''') des outils (2; 3) situés à l'opposé les uns des autres forment un premier angle intermédiaire (a), vers une seconde position, dans lequel les segments (2', 2", 2"' ; 3', 3", 3"') des outils (2 ; 3) situés à l'opposé les uns des autres forment un second angle intermédiaire (a') différent du premier angle (a).
  4. Dispositif selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce que les outils (2 ; 3) sont réajustables en continu de manière variable ou par étapes fixes pour changer l'angle intermédiaire (a ; a').
  5. Dispositif selon la revendication 3 ou 4, caractérisé en ce que les deux outils (2; 3) sont agencés de manière ajustable par le fait que les supports qui en dépendent (7 ; 8) sont agencés de manière tournante sur le joint pivotant (24) et peuvent être réajustés de façon à ce que la bissectrice (B) de l'angle intermédiaire s'étende perpendiculairement vers la base (14) du dispositif dans toutes les positions de réglage angulaire.
  6. Dispositif selon la revendication 5, caractérisé en ce que les outils (2 ; 3) sont couplés mutuellement de manière tournante par un joint pivotant (24) se trouvant dans l'extension de la bissectrice (B), ainsi que reposant sur une plaque (25), qui est agencé de manière mobile par rapport aux outils et qui, lors du déplacement par rapport aux outils, amène ceux-ci à tourner sur le joint pivotant (24) par l'effet d'une rampe respective (26 ; 27), agencée sur la plaque (25) ou sur l'outil (2 ; 23).
  7. Dispositif selon l'une quelconque des revendications 3-6, caractérisé en ce que les outils (2 ; 3) sont réajustables pour le réglage d'un angle intermédiaire (a) de l'ordre de 15-60°.
