Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch die Merkmale des Anspruchs 1 gelöst. Weitere, besonders vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung offenbaren die Unteransprüche.
Die Erfindung beruht im Wesentlichen auf dem Gedanken, als Abblendeinrichtung der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung ein durch eine elektrische Spannung umschaltbares LCD-Fenster und eine mit dem LCD-Fenster verbundene Steuerelektronik zu verwenden, mit Hilfe der das LCD-Fenster von einem lichtdurchlässigen in einen lichtundurchlässigen Zustand, und umgekehrt, umschaltbar ist.
Dabei kann das LCD-Fenster, welches auch als schaltbare Verglasung bezeichnet wird, innenraumseitig oder außenseitig an der optischen Vorrichtung angeordnet sein. Allerdings hat es sich als zweckmäßig erwiesen, das LCD-Fenster innenraumseitig anzuordnen, weil es hier besser vor mechanischen Beschädigungen geschützt ist.
Zur automatischen Umschaltung von dem lichtdurchlässigen in den lichtundurchlässigen Zustand, und vorzugsweise auch umgekehrt, ist die Steuerelektronik mit mindestens zwei, im Innenraum des Fahrzeuges oder Gebäudes angeordneten Fotozellen verbunden, so dass die Fotozellen beim Detektieren einer Lichtquelle im Innenraum ein der Steuerelektronik zuführbares Signal erzeugen, und die Steuerelektronik das LCD-Fenster dann von dem lichtdurchlässigen in den lichtundurchlässigen Zustand schaltet. Beim Abschalten der Lichtquellen erzeugen die Fotozellen wiederum ein der Steuerelektronik zuführbares Signal, welches dann das LCD-Fenster von dem lichtundurchlässigen in den lichtdurchlässigen Zustand zurückschaltet.

Claims (7)
