Definitions
- the invention relates to a transponder reading module for a fork shoe of a forklift of a truck, a fork shoe and a system of these.
- the invention relates to a transponder reading module for a fork shoe of a fork tine of a truck with a transmitting and / or receiving device and with an antenna.
- transponders For load carriers, for example standardized Euro pallets, there are considerations of equipping them with transponders in order to be able to record, for example in merchandise management systems and warehouses, the movements and the positions of goods or of the load carriers.
- RFID tags There are various possibilities for attaching such transponders, for example RFID tags.
- a preferred option is the attachment of two transponders to a load carrier, such as a Euro pallet, wherein in each case a transponder is arranged on a middle block at two outer edges of the pallet connected via a corner. Due to the possibility of alignment in two polarization directions, such pallets are reliably detected by RFID gates when passing through.
- RFID gates are fixed gates with high-quality and complex RFID and antenna technology, which have reading and possibly also writing units.
- the transmitting and receiving devices of the readout device such as RFID antennas, directed outward on the outer sides of the Forks are located.
- Possibilities for such attachment are that the antenna is either already integrated in the fork, or in an additionally over-drawn fork shoe or possibly mounted in a modified combined form.
- a construction results in which the fork tine itself constitutes an essential part of the antenna, similar to the base plate of a monopole antenna arrangement forming the counter pole or reflector and / or director.
- mounted in a fork shoe is a complete and independently working antenna in one Construction integrated, usually a steel construction.
- a disadvantage of this prior art is that the introduction of the antenna into a receiving steel construction influences the radiation properties of the antenna, in particular its frequency response.
- An RF cable which is typically mechanically sensitive as coaxial cable, must be routed inside and out of the steel structure surrounding the antenna to provide the signals to the vehicle and controllers.
- the integration of the antenna and the surrounding steel structure is done by mechanically connecting, for example screwing, the individual parts to a total part, which has both electromagnetically and mechanically, in particular with regard to the seal against dust and moisture, new characteristics that the individual parts, especially the antenna, not individually or not to the same extent.
- the disadvantage therefore, must first of all be that the overall antenna geometry that forms is calculated, or a measurement with a possible adaptation of the antenna with respect to frequency response and emission characteristic is subsequently carried out. These adjustments or calculations must be very precise, which is potentially in conflict with the need as large as possible standard manufacturing tolerances of the surrounding steel construction or constructions in mass production.
- each encapsulated individual components antenna, readout unit, sensors and control unit is structurally not necessarily very robust as an RF connection between the antenna and readout unit, since a complete mechanical protection can not be implemented.
- the required connection between the antenna and the surrounding steel structure also creates great dependencies between the electromagnetic properties, in particular the radiation characteristic of the antenna, and the mechanical requirements, such as the seal. This in turn can lead to problems especially with the usual mechanical manufacturing tolerances for steel structures.
- a simple construction of the connections as well as a subsequent change or replacement of the components, in particular the antenna, is thereby also made more difficult. Again, these are special devices, in particular Gauges required.
- the present invention has for its object to provide a transponder reading module for a fork shoe, a fork and a system of these are available, which avoid the disadvantages mentioned above and with which even in a mass production always the same and safe functionality can be achieved.
- transponder reading module for a fork shoe of a fork tine of a truck with the features of independent claim 1, a fork shoe with the features of claim 9 and by a system of a transponder reading module and a fork shoe with the features of claim 12.
- the object is achieved in that in a transponder reading module for a fork shoe of a fork tine of a truck with a transmitting and / or receiving device and an antenna, at least the antenna is inserted into a plastic housing and the transponder reading module can be connected via a single connecting cable.
- the plastic part of the transponder reading module is permeable to electromagnetic radiation and can integrate all components in its cavity.
- the components have sufficient protection against mechanical damage, dust, dirt and moisture, so that, for example, requirements for an IP protection class can be met, as they are defined for electrical components.
- the significantly larger tolerances in the manufacture of the fork shoe as a steel component therefore do not play a disadvantageous role.
- the transponder reading module is connected to the fork shoe and mechanically secured in the usual way, for example by a few screws, without any special requirements for alignment during assembly or adjustment work is required.
- the result is a cost-effective and robust system solution that can be quickly assembled. Also, all components are combined in the transponder reading module. There are therefore no external or total only very short and thus low-loss high-frequency cables inside the plastic housing required and dase entire transponder reader module must be connected only via a connection cable that is marketable in a very robust embodiment as signal transmission or power supply cable available.
- the transponder reading module is easily replaceable and does not absorb any forces in its mounted position in the fork shoe.
- the plastic housing is set in a metallic U-profile.
- the proposed here metallic half-way through a U-profile By a defined or partial embedding of the plastic housing in a metal housing, for example, the proposed here metallic half-way through a U-profile, a high degree of robustness of the transponder reading module can be achieved with high manufacturing precision.
- the antenna can be adjusted to a desired radiation characteristic in this way.
- With defined attachment points of the metal housing a substantial insensitivity to tolerances of the production of the fork shoe can be achieved.
- the plastic housing further sensors, in particular an acceleration sensor or an optical sensor, such as two staggered optical sensors for generating a quadrature signal may be used.
- the transponder reading module is constructed with an elongate shape, preferably cuboid.
- the transponder reading module can easily be used as a unit in a fork shoe, if this fork shoe has on its rear side an opening with a compartment for the transponder reading module arranged for a lateral compartment next to the fork leg. At the same time only a small broadening of the fork shoe is required.
- the antenna may have a directivity laterally to the longitudinal extent of the transponder reading module.
- the antenna is oriented to the fork tip and arranged the transmitting and / or receiving device away from the fork tip.
- the transmitting and / or receiving device may be an RFID transmitting and / or receiving device.
- the transponder reading modules can be prefabricated as RFID modules, tested and delivered to the place of final assembly.
- the transponder reading module is encapsulated watertight.
- the fork shoe does not have to protect the transmitting and receiving devices of a wireless goods identification or, for example, an RFID element against such environmental influences.
- An open window may simply be provided on the fork shoe that does not affect the transmission and reception conditions of the antenna, and the transponder reading module itself may be optimized for optimized transmission and reception conditions.
- a fork shoe for a fork of a fork of a truck in which a receiving space for a transponder reading module as described above is separated by separating elements laterally in the longitudinal extent of the fork shoe, wherein for the range of the antenna of the transponder reading module of the fork shoes has lateral opening.
- Transponderlesemodul can be produced with defined transmission and reception conditions with low production spread and used in the fork.
- an antenna is not impaired in their properties.
- An undisturbed field coupling of the antenna with, for example, RFID tags can take place via the opening.
- the transponder reading module may be insertable into the receiving space from the end of the fork shoe.
- the transport module can be inserted through an opening on the side facing the fork carriage side of the fork shoe and advanced so far that the antenna comes to lie in front of the opening. This is particularly advantageous to implement, for example, if the transponder reading module has an elongated shape. In addition, it is conceivable to close the insertion at the end of the fork shoe after insertion. In this case, a connection cable of the transponder reading module can be led out of the fork shoe via this opening and is thus located on the entire relevant length of the fork prong in a protected interior of the fork shoe.
- the fork shoe is formed of metal, in particular steel, and the separating element consists of a continuous sheet metal.
- the transponder reader module is protected on all surfaces except the opening by the fork shoe. Due to the internal separation of the receiving space in the sense of a separate compartment, the transponder reading module is also protected against possible damage that might occur when the fork is introduced.
- the object is also achieved by a system comprising a transponder reading module and a fork shoe, as described above in each case.
- the system has the advantages already mentioned above.
- the two transponder reading modules are connected via a Y-cable, which determines a master / slave assignment via a coding of the connectors or a software algorithm.
- Two transponder reader modules can be efficiently connected via a Y-cable as connection cable.
- an assignment of master / slave can also take place at the same time by coding the plug connections.
- It can be a connection to a higher-level system, a power supply, for example, a terminal system.
- This connection can be performed in addition to a described wired and wireless, possibly combined with a teilautarken power supply such as a battery.
- a battery can be integrated in the transponder reading module, or in the same steel box or receiving space of the fork shoe.
- the Fig. 1 shows a charge carrier 1 according to the prior art with transponders 2.
- the load carrier 1 is a Euro pallet 3.
- the transponder 2 are arranged at two connected via a corner 4 sides of Europallette 3 each at an outer middle block 5.
- the transponders 2 are RFID transponders 6. As a result, the transponders 2 can transmit and receive in two polarization directions.
- the Fig. 2a schematically shows a fork shoe 7 according to the invention in a plan view. Laterally, a receiving space 8 is arranged, which is separated in the manufactured of steel sheets fork shoe 7 by a plate 9 as a separating element 10 from the space for a fork. A side opening 11 is provided in the receiving space 8 through which an antenna of an inserted transponder reading module can transmit and receive without interfering with the steel-made forked shoe.
- the Fig. 2b shows the fork shoe 7 of the Fig. 2a with a fork prong 12 and an inserted transponder reading module 13.
- the transponder reading module 13 is inserted into the receiving space 8 such that an antenna 14 comes to rest in front of the lateral opening 11.
- the sheet 9 as a separating element 10 the transponder reading module 13 is protected from damage during insertion of the fork tine 12.
- a connection cable 17 of the transponder reading module 13 is through the Receiving space 8 led out to the rear of the fork shoe 7 and is used to connect the transponder reading module 13th
- the transponder reading module 13 can be used in the fork shoe 7 as a prefabricated part that fulfills its specifications with prefabricated and very small series variations. Abstract
Description

Fig. 2a zeigt schematisch einen erfindungsgemäßen Gabelschuh 7 in Aufsicht.
Fig. 3a zeigt das erfindungsgemäße Transponderlesemodul 13 in Seitenansicht.
Fig. 3b zeigt das Transponderlesemodul 13 derFig. 3a in Aufsicht.
