In der Praxis würde dies für den Bestatter jedoch einen zu hohen Aufwand betreffend die Lagerhaltung der Außensärge bedeuten, weshalb aus wirtschaftlicher Sicht weiterhin Einwegsärge verwendet werden. Bei einer geläufigen Abdeckung des Außensargs mit abgeschrägten Seitenkanten kann die Dekorschale, welche dieser Kontur folgend ausgebildet ist, einfach auf die Abdeckung aufgesetzt werden und zentriert sich somit über die abgeschrägten Seitenkanten selbst auf der Abdeckung.
