La présente invention concerne le domaine de l'éclairage et de la signalisation des véhicules, notamment des véhicules automobiles.   • un troisième élément diffusant translucide situé en aval du deuxième élément diffusant et adapté pour transmettre et diffuser la lumière issue du deuxième élément diffusant en direction de l'extérieur du feu concerné, ledit troisième élément diffusant contribuant à la géométrie du feu à l'état allumé et définissant un volume de diffusion par son profil débordant en saillie vers l'extérieur du feu au niveau de l'ouverture d'éclairage.

Claims (14)

  1. A lighting device for a vehicle lighting and/or signalling lamp, in particular for rear lamps, characterized in that it includes in a casing (1):
    - at least one LED light source (3), fastened to an opaque support (4, 9) including a lighting aperture (5) for the passage of the light to be diffused indirectly towards the observer,
    - a first opaque diffusing element (6) located upstream from the lighting aperture and adapted to reflect and diffuse the light coming from the light source towards the aperture,
    - a second translucent diffusing element (7) located downstream from the first diffusing element facing the lighting aperture (5) and intended to transmit and diffuse the light reflected and diffused by the first diffusing element,
    - a third translucent diffusing element (8) located downstream from the second diffusing element (7) and adapted to transmit and diffuse the light coming from the second diffusing element towards the outside of the concerned lamp, said third diffusing element contributing to the geometry of the lamp at the lighted state and defining a diffusion volume by its profile projecting outwards from the lamp at the lighting aperture (5).
  2. The lighting device according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the first diffusing element is of white colour.
  3. The lighting device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the reflective surface of the first diffusing element has an irregular state of surface.
  4. The lighting device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the first diffusing element is made of a material filled with particles of dimensions greater than or equal to one micron and/or comprising inclusions of dimensions greater than or equal to one micron.
  5. The lighting device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the front surface and/or the rear surface of the second element has an irregular state of surface.
  6. The lighting device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the second diffusing element is made of a material filled with particles of dimensions greater than or equal to one micron and/or comprising inclusions of dimensions greater than or equal to one micron.
  7. The lighting device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the front surface and/or the rear surface of the third element has an irregular state of surface.
  8. The lighting device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the third diffusing element is made of a material filled with particles of dimensions greater than or equal to one micron and/or comprising inclusions of dimensions greater than or equal to one micron.
  9. The lighting device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises a transparent and/or translucent sight glass (12) adapted to close the casing.
  10. The lighting device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the third diffusing element (8) is adapted to close the casing.
  11. The lighting device according to claim 9, characterized in that the third diffusing element (8) has a smooth rear surface.
  12. The lighting device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the opaque support (4, 9) is located on the rear face or the front face of a portion of the third diffusing element offset with respect to the lighting aperture that carries the light source.
  13. The lighting device according to claim 11, characterized in that the second diffusing element (7) is lined, preferably by overmoulding, by the offset portion of the third diffusion element (8).
  14. The lighting device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the second diffusing element carries the opaque support that partly hides it.
