- the present invention discloses a hair treatment device comprising a mechanism for rotating said device that triggers on a given manual pulse around the axis of rotation of the handle of said device without requiring contact with the hair.
- Hairdressing devices using rotation about an axis are well known to those skilled in the art. This is for example various forms of hairbrushes such as rotating brushes with or without a blower, winders hair curlers or curling irons.
- All these devices are provided with switches for acting on the direction and sometimes the speed of rotation by keeping the switch pressed in the desired direction of rotation.
- These switches are quite easy to use for the hairdresser who can move around the person to be styled while for the individual user who does not have the same angle of view on the device, its use is often counter-intuitive, especially when both hands are occupied during a hairdressing operation.
- EP 2 365 764 A1 discloses a hairstyling device that can be driven by a motorized rotational movement given by the pulse on the handle of the device.
- the mechanism disclosed in this document uses a pull on the hair as a pulse to determine the direction of rotation. It is the resistance offered by the lock of hair that triggers the rotation mechanism of the hairdressing device.
- the detection detects the movement of the device along the lock of hair such as starting from the root to the end of a lock of hair and triggers the rotation of the device in the opposite direction.

- an emitter and a pair of sensors connected to an electronic circuit comprising a microcontroller detecting, in use, the angle of rotation of the flywheel with respect to said sensors;
- said microcontroller having, in use, the signals between the transmitter and the sensors and detecting the direction of rotation during a user-given pulse on the handle in a desired direction of rotation, and transmitting an engine start signal in the desired direction if the angle of rotation generated by the pulse is greater than a preprogrammed angle; said motor is located in the rotating portion of said hairdressing device;

To do this, the user does not need to look at the handle 7 but simply gives, and intuitively, a pulse in the desired direction. To disable the rotation of the cylinder, the user actuates the switch again.
- Angular accelerometers or gyrometers are well known to those skilled in the art and generally operate on a principle of inertia only or with a restoring force towards equilibrium.

- the detection system of the direction of the pulse given to the handle 7 comprises in addition to the accelerometer a microcontroller measuring the direction and the amplitude of the rotation of the flywheel 2 by means of a or more transmitters 5 and sensors 4.
