Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a product packaging, which is particularly suitable for receiving wiper blades of windscreen washer systems in motor vehicles.

Wiper blades for windscreen wiper devices are accommodated in different packaging forms, for example in blister packs. Such a package is for example in the WO 2015000781 A1 described. In blister packs, the wiper blades are housed in a transparent plastic sleeve and closed by a cardboard or paper backing on which product information is often printed. In most cases, the plastic cover is formed such that it adapts to the product shape and can at least partially absorb the product. Such packaging provides the customer with a visible product presentation while protecting the product at the same time. However, a disadvantage of this form of packaging is that recycling through the use of two different materials (namely paper and plastic) often proves difficult. In addition, a strong adhesive for a stable connection of paper and plastic must be used. Another disadvantage of such packaging is that it is often no longer completely closed after opening.

For example, some alternative types of packaging provide for elongate receptacles of solid paper, which are usually rectangular in shape and which house the wiper blades. In addition, packaging units with partitions are known. Such a carton for wiper blades is for example in the EP 2 465 787 B1 described. In this case, the carton comprises in its interior a partition, which extends in the longitudinal direction of the carton. The partition runs quasi-diagonally, based on the cross-section of the carton, and divides the interior of the carton into two separate compartments, each of which receives a flat bar wiper blade.

When packing the wiper blades, a technical challenge is that the rubber lip of the wiper blade must be protected in order to avoid jamming or the introduction of kinks. This would interfere with the subsequent application of the wiper blade whose function or reduce the life. When in the EP 2 465 787 B1 this variant is not the case.

Some packages are also designed to avoid contact of the wiper lip of the wiper blade with the package. This can be done, for example, by the Use of plastic or foam moldings are achieved, in which the wiper blades are housed and protect the lips. Such a construction is very complex, requires different materials and is therefore expensive to manufacture.

Another variant is in the DE 10 2011 083 955 A1 described, in which the packaging consists of a rigid container with at least one insert, which is insertable together with the wiper blade in the container. Another solution reveals the DE 198 29 125 A , in addition to the wiper blades also small parts or adapters can be added to the packaging and appropriate facilities are provided for housing.

The DE 7 95 918 A1 shows a foldable package for wiper blades for windscreens, in which an internal separation is provided, which allows a division of the packaging into compartments and which also has a receptacle in the middle for the coupling of the wiper blades in the separation. However, this variant allows only a separation of the wiper blades, but does not secure them, since an end of the separation is unpaved. In addition, no self-assembly is possible because the separation is transferred only after receiving the wiper blades in the correct position.

The DE 299 01 874 U1 contains a solution in which a paper tube can be mounted from a trimmed and folded at the fold edges sheet in the folding in the box and allows an internal, diagonal separation.

In known solutions, there is the problem that the equipped with a separation packages can not be fully unfolded when not in use because the separation is part of the packaging and provides for its reinforcement. On the other hand, a separation used later in a package, this is always associated with additional work, which is unsatisfactory.

Against this background, it is an object of the present invention to provide an alternative product packaging in which at least two wiper blades of windshield wiper devices can be received and which can be easily converted from an unfolded, transportable state into a folded, ready-to-use state.

This object is achieved by a packaging having the features of claim 1. Preferred embodiments can be found in the subclaims.

The package according to the invention consists in the unfolded state of a blank, which consists of several, preferably a total of eight, packaging sections. The first four packaging sections, which form the outer shell of the packaging (bottom, lid, side panels) are provided with lateral end tabs. In addition, there are further packaging sections, which form the inner separation of the packaging, so that two separate product receiving areas, in particular for wiper blades of windscreen washers, arise. In the folded state of the packaging thus creates an elongated box with separate receiving areas in the interior of the packaging for the male products.

The terms "wiper blade" and "wiper blade" are understood interchangeably in the context of the present application and refer to the same parts of a windshield wiper.

The length of the individual packaging sections of the packaging according to the invention is adapted to the length of the wiper blades. When cutting kinking edges or folds are provided between the individual packaging sections and the retaining tabs, where a folding of the blank into the form of use. Preferably, the packaging blank is a carton. The folding of the cardboard takes place in such a way that at least two receiving areas for a respective wiper blade (for example a wiper blade pair) are formed in the interior of the packaging. The at least two receiving areas are formed by inner and outer packaging sections and allow secure storage of the wiper blade. Preferably, the folding of the blank into the ready-to-use state takes place along bending edges, wherein the packaging sections forming the dividing wall readily permit folding of a flat, unfolded carton. Thus, the packaging of the invention is easy from the transport form in the Use form convertible. The partition wall is preferably designed so that the wiper lips of the wiper blade do not touch the packaging.

A significant advantage of the packaging according to the invention is that the package can be stored and transported before use with little space in the unfolded, flat state. For folding a box, the packaging sections which cause the inner separation are pushed into the packaging, whereby the packaging assumes its final shape. In order to allow a complete unfolding of the packaging, for example for transport, the inner partition is not simply formed by a continuous diagonal or quasi-diagonal partition. Namely, the length of the packaging section separating the at least two receiving regions is preferably smaller than a diagonal between two opposite corners of the folded carton. This allows complete packaging of the package prior to its use with the advantages described above. This partition forming packaging portion is thus an incomplete diagonal and is bounded by angled packaging sections.

The outer shell of the packaging according to the invention consists of several packaging sections, which are provided with lateral end flaps, which form the end faces of the later folding box. The end flaps are preferably attached to the outer ends of the first four packaging sections of one end of the blank. These four tabbed packaging sections form the outer envelope of the folded package. The further packaging sections which form the dividing wall for the at least two receiving regions in the interior of the packaging immediately adjoin the outer casing packaging sections in the blank. These inner, partition wall forming packaging sections have no end tabs and allow unfolding of the box in the form of use. The formation of the two receiving areas in the interior of the box thus takes place via the packaging sections of the blank, which have no end tabs. The final folding of the package (e.g., the carton) occurs along creases formed at the individual wrapping sections and at the border regions of individual wrapping sections to the end tabs.

In a preferred embodiment, the partition wall forming packaging sections are angled with different angles of inclination to each other, so that the wiper lip of a wiper blade has no contact with the package. The packaging sections adjoining the central receiving portion separating the two receiving regions are preferably angled therewith at an angle of less than 90 °.

To form the two receiving areas and to increase the stability of the innermost packaging section of the blank, which has no end tabs, connected to the outermost provided with end tabs first packaging section. In a further variant, the blank between the packaging section forming the dividing wall and the outermost packing section without end tabs comprises an intermediate section which does not touch a packing section forming the outer wall. This avoids that the packaging section (part of the dividing wall) separating the two receiving areas does not touch the inner wall of the packaging. In an alternative variant, the intermediate section can also be glued to and connected to the inside of the packaging blank. The intermediate section makes it possible to design two different receiving areas for the wiper blades. In addition, it is possible to avoid contact of the wiper lip with the packaging.

In a further embodiment, it is provided that the packaging section separating the two receiving surfaces consists of three sub-sections, each of which has different angles of inclination along an angle plane. In order to simplify the closing of the packaging, in a preferred variant, a cut can be provided in the inner partition, whereby an offset arises. As a result of the incision, the inner separation packaging sections are less long than the remaining outer packaging packaging sections with end flaps. An arcuate portion connects the innermost packaging portion of the partition to the adjacent end-flap packaging portion. The unfolding and positioning is facilitated.

The embodiment according to the invention makes it possible for the packaging to save space during storage prior to actual use and to be easily transported. At the same time unfolding of the packaging and the formation of the interior can be done with little effort by pressure on the opposite corners.

In Fig. 1 a first embodiment of a blank F of the packaging according to the invention is shown, which is designed to receive wiper blades of a windshield wiper device. This consists of eight packing sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, which form the outer shell and the inner separation of at least two product receiving areas A, B. The packaging sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 may also be referred to as the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth packaging section for better distinction. The outer packaging forming the packaging sections 1, 2, 3, 4 and the other forming the separation packaging sections 5, 6, 7, 8 are preferably elongated according to the geometric shape of the wiper blade and bounded by creases V of each other. The second and fourth packaging sections 2, 4 are wider for receiving wiper blades than the first and third packaging sections 1, 3. The division of the separating packaging section 7 into further subsections 14, 15, 16 (FIG. A small pressure at the opposite short corners is sufficient to unfold the package, since the packaging portion 7 separating the two receiving areas A, B is shorter in length than the diagonal between the opposite corners of the package. In combination with the narrow wrapping section 6 adjacent thereto, the wrapping can be easily unfolded without the separating wrapping section 7 preventing complete closure of the wrapping.

Preferably, the packaging according to the invention consists of cardboard and the two receiving areas A, B serve to receive in each case a wiper blade, for example a pair of wiper blades of a motor vehicle windshield wiper.

The present invention presented packaging is made of a single material, preferably made of cardboard, whereby a simpler recycling compared to packaging, which are made of different materials, is possible.
