Abstract

The packing has a folding box (1) consisting of a single pre-cut part with a base section. A front side wall (3), a rear side wall, and two transverse side walls (5) are attached at the base section. A foldable cover (6) is attached at the rear side wall. A foldable inner cover (7) is attached at the front side wall in a usage position, where the inner cover lies inside the box in reference to the cover in a rest position.

Description

The invention relates to a package according to the preamble of claim 1. Such packaging is mainly used in the pharmaceutical industry for packaging elongated objects such. As syringes, ampoules or vials used. A box for packaging consists of flat blanks made of cardboard, a cardboard laminate or a plastic film.

A generic similar packaging with a carton is in the WO 98/15461 disclosed. The box is formed from a single blank and has a bottom portion, at right angles to these subsequent side walls and a hinged lid. At the bottom portion, a packaging insert is provided for the positional fixing of elongate objects. Such a box may have certain disadvantages in its handling. For example, with the lid open, the stored objects can be easily removed. For certain applications, it may be necessary to protect the items even after opening the lid.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to avoid the disadvantages of the known and in particular to provide a package of the type mentioned, which provides good protection of the contents of the package. The packaging should also be characterized by ease of use. These objects are achieved according to the invention with a package having the features in claim 1.

In this way it is achieved that the box contents is optimally protected by a two-stage lid assembly. The adjoining the front wall inner lid is advantageously connected via a hinge fold with the front wall. A advantageous box may further be characterized in that the adjoining the bottom portion side walls are stabilized by adhesive tabs.

After opening the lid, the packaging should allow a check by inspection of the contents of the package. In such a test by a user, the box contents should not be completely exposed and block direct access. This further object can be achieved in that the inner lid may have at least one window opening. Thus, the box contents, such as syringes, ampoules or vials are visible, without the box must be fully opened. The window opening forms in the inner lid a frame that can prevent removal of the elongated objects at least in a rest position.

It may be advantageous if the window opening is covered by a transparent film. This arrangement allows a check of the box contents, while at the same time the box contents are protected against dust, for example. Preferably, the transparent film may be connected to the inner lid by gluing. The gluing of the film can preferably be done on a blank.

Especially with sensitive packaging goods, it may be advantageous if the box is closed in the rest position by the lid with the help of a guarantee closure. Such a box with warranty function can indicate whether the packaging has remained untouched since first filling and sealing by the manufacturer.

To the lid can connect a hinge strip, which by perforation lines in two adhesive sections and a lid strip section is divided. In this case, the adhesive portions can be adhesively bonded to the front side wall and the lid can be folded over the lid strip portion. Of course, this process step would take place only after the filling process. Such a box is characterized by easy handling. If necessary, means for reclosing the lid could be provided on the lid strip section. Such means may be, for example, retaining tabs which can be inserted in corresponding recesses in the front wall. However, resealing agents can also be pressure-sensitive adhesives which permit closing and opening operations.

The blank may have a lid portion. On the lid portion can be defined by perforation lines of the lid and two remaining lid portions. The box can be closed in such a way by the lid in a rest position that remain for a first-time unfolding of the lid, the remaining lid portions for fixing the inner lid in the rest position. Unintentional opening or unfolding of the inner lid can be avoided in an advantageous manner. It may be particularly advantageous if both the lid and inner lid would have warranty functions. In this way, a two-stage opening process would be ideally defined.

The box may have dust flaps which connect to the transverse side walls. In the rest position, the dust rags can each rest on the inner lid, wherein preferably the inner lid is located opposite the dust rags within the box.

In one embodiment of the box, dust flaps can be connected to the transverse side walls, which can be connected to the remaining lid sections are connected by gluing. With the help of the dust rags can be achieved that the inner lid is held down even when unfolded (outer) lid.

The remaining lid portions and the adhesive portions may each be separated from each other by a perforation line. Upon first unfolding, the perforation lines or other lines of weakness would tear. The thus released inner lid can now be opened or unfolded in a simple manner by a user. The described warranty function can be easily achieved.

It can be particularly advantageous if the respective perforation line for separating the remaining lid section from the lid section merges into the perforation line for separating the adhesive section from the lid strip section.

On the bottom portion, a packaging insert may be glued in the box. Such packaging inserts serve for the positional fixing of elongated objects in the box. The basic structure of an advantageous packaging insert is for example in the WO 98/15461 described.

Fig. 1 shows a designated 1 box for a package. The box 1 is evidently cuboid and consists (except a transparent film for a viewing window) of a single material blank, such as cardboard or a cardboard laminate. Of course, the blank could also consist of a plastic film. The box includes a bottom portion, side walls perpendicular to the bottom portion, having a front side wall 3, two transverse side walls 5, a rear side wall, and a lid portion 12.

As can be seen, two perforation lines 22 are arranged on the cover section 12, which subdivide this section into two remaining lid sections 13 and a fold-out lid 6. It can also be seen from FIG. 1 that a hinge strip 9 adjoins the cover section 12, which in turn is subdivided by a perforation line 21 into two adhesive sections 10 and a cover strip section 11. The adhesive portions 10 are glued to the front wall 3. In the box is advantageously a (not shown) packing insert, for example, according to the WO 98/15461 arranged, with which elongated objects are fixed in position.

Figs. 1 to 3 show the box 1 in different positions. To produce the position according to FIG. 2, the cover 6 has to be opened or unfolded. This can be achieved by detecting the lid strip section 11. The opening movement is indicated in Fig. 1 by an arrow e. As is apparent from Fig. 2, the packaged product is protected by an inner lid 7 with the lid 6 open. The inner lid 7 has a window opening 8, which is covered with a transparent film. Thus, even in this position, sensitive packaged goods, in particular elongated articles of the pharmaceutical industry, for example syringes, ampoules or vials, are optimally protected. The articles can be inserted into a packing insert 15 designed as a shaft part. At the same time, however, the box contents can be checked by a user. As is apparent from Fig. 2 further, the inner lid 7 is secured by the remaining lid portions 13. For unlocking, a user now has to unfold the remaining lid sections 13 together with the dust flaps 14 connected thereto by gluing in the f direction. This position is shown in Fig. 3. With unfolded left lid sections 13 and dust flap 14, the inner lid is exposed. To produce a position of use, the inner lid would only have to be unfolded in the g direction. To reclosure of the lid 6, a holding tab 25 created by incisions is provided in the lid strip section 11, which is insertable into a corresponding recess 24 in the front side wall 3.

Fig. 4 shows a blank designated 20 for the box. The blank is divided into sections by fold lines and perforation lines. Fold lines are indicated by dotted lines and perforation lines by dashed lines. The blank contains a bottom section 2 and adjoining side walls 3, 4 and 5. An the rear side wall 4 is obviously closed by the cover section 12, on which in turn the hinge strip 9 adjoins. On the other side, the inner lid 7 adjoins the front wall 3. From Fig. 4 dust flaps 19 are further recognizable, each of which (separated by fold lines) to the front wall 3 and rear wall 4 connect. In this state, a transparent film for covering the window opening 8 can be glued to the inner lid 7 in a simple manner. Of course, it would also be conceivable to provide inner cover without covering transparent films.

As is apparent from Fig. 5, terminates a perforation line 22 at a fold line which separates the lid 6 from the rear side wall 4. The perforation line 22 is followed by another perforation line 26. This arrangement has the advantage that a residual lid section 13 predetermined in this way does not have to be glued to the dust flap.

The blank 20 according to FIG. 6 differs from the preceding blank (FIG. 4) in that no perforation lines are arranged on the lid section 12. Thus, a corresponding box would only have a warranty function for the cover 6. The inner lid can thus be opened or unfolded without previous release with the lid extended.

Claims (10)

Packaging comprising a folding box (1), preferably consisting of a single blank (20), with a bottom section (2), preferably approximately at right angles to the bottom section (4), with side walls having a front side wall (3), a rear side wall (4) and two transverse side walls (5), and with a foldable lid (6), which adjoins the rear wall (4), characterized in that on the front side wall (3) adjoins a folding into a position of use inner lid (7), at least in a rest position with respect on the lid (6) inside the box. Packaging according to claim 1, characterized in that the inner lid (7) has at least one window opening (8). Packaging according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the window opening (8) is covered by a transparent film. Packaging according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the box (1) in the rest position by the lid (6) is closed by means of a guarantee closure. Packaging according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the lid (6) adjoins a hinge strip (9) which is divided by perforation lines (21) in two adhesive portions (10) and a cover strip portion (11), wherein the adhesive portions (10) are adhesively bonded to the front wall (3) and the cover (6) is foldable over the lid strip portion (11). Packaging according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the blank (20) has a lid portion (12), wherein on the lid portion by perforation lines (22) of the lid (6) and two remaining lid portions (13) are defined and that the Box is closed by the lid (6) in a rest position such that when a first unfolding of the lid (6) the remaining lid portions (13) remain for fixing the inner lid in the rest position. Packaging according to claim 6, characterized in that adjoining the transverse side walls (5) dust flaps (14), which are connected to the remaining lid sections (13) by gluing.
