Claims (8)

  1. Kitchen furniture (1) with a work top (2) and an additional work top (6) which enlarges the useful area of the work top (2), wherein the additional work top (6) is arranged concealed hanging in the carcass (28) or from the work top of the kitchen furniture (1) and is embodied so that when necessary it can be pulled out of the carcass (28) and swivelled into a horizontal position for use and locked in position, characterised in that the swivel locking of the additional work top (6) in the position for use is formed by a locking member (12) which is arranged at the free swivellable end of the additional work top (6) and can be brought into engagement with a face on the carcass (28) of the kitchen furniture (1), and in that the actuation of the locking member (12) is effected from the front end (8) of the additional work top (6) with an actuating button (31).
  2. Kitchen furniture according to claim 1, characterised in that the additional work top (6) is mounted so as to be able to swivel on one side on a pull-out rail (10) arranged in the carcass of the kitchen furniture (1) with an edge-side horizontal swivel axis (29).
  3. Kitchen furniture according to claim 2, characterised in that the pull-out rail (10) is embodied in the form of a telescopic pull-out rail and comprises a carcass rail (15) which is fastened to the carcass (28) of the kitchen furniture (1) and on which carcass rail a bottom rail (15) is guided so as to be displaceable by means of a roller or sliding guide and on which bottom rail a telescopic rail (18) is guided so as to be displaceable by means of a further roller or sliding guide, on which telescopic rail the additional work top (2) is fastened so as to be able to swivel.
  4. Kitchen furniture according to claim 3, characterised in that the edge-side swivellable fastening of the additional work top (6) on the telescopic rail (18) of the pull-out rail (10) is effected by two strap hinges (19, 20) which are arranged spaced apart from one another.
  5. Kitchen furniture according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the surface of the additional work top (6) is flush with the face of the work top (2) in the position for use.
  6. Kitchen furniture according to claim 5, characterised in that the locking member (12) is embodied in the form of a leg which protrudes beyond the inside edge (30) of the additional work top (6) and can be brought to rest on or in a supporting face on the kitchen furniture (1).
  7. Kitchen furniture according to claim 5, characterised in that the locking member (12) is embodied in the form of a bolt which is displaceable under spring loading and in the downwardly swivelled position of the additional work top (6) is retracted behind the inside edge (30) and in the horizontal position for use protrudes beyond the inside edge (30) and can be brought into engagement with a receiving opening on the kitchen furniture (1).
  8. Kitchen furniture according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the actuation of the additional work top (6) is effected in the manner of a one-handed operation.
