Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Durchführung von Abbundarbeiten an einem Holzbauteil gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1. Ein solches Verfahren ist aus der DE 196 24 138 A1 bekannt. Mit einem aus einem Walzenfräser und einem Schwalbenschwanzfräser bestehenden Kombinationswerkzeug werden an den bisher bekannten Abbundanlagen eine Vielzahl von Außen- und Innenkonturen hergestellt. So können z.B. mit Hilfe des Walzenfräsers an einem Holzbalken sämtliche Ausblattungen, Kerven, Zapfen und dgl. hergestellt werden. Außerdem kann über den Walzenfräser eine Front- bzw. Endbearbeitung an den Balken erfolgen. Mit Hilfe des zusätzlichen Schwalbenschwanzfräsers können dagegen in an sich bekannter Weise sowohl sämtliche Schwalbenschwanznuten als auch Schwalbenschwanzzapfen erzeugt werden. Zur Herstellung von Nuten mit zueinander parallelen Seitenflächen werden dagegen bisher gesonderte Fingerfräser eingesetzt. Bei Abbundanlagen mit nur einer Arbeitsspindel müssen derartige Fingerfräser bei Bedarf eingewechselt werden, was einen entsprechenden Bedienungs- und Zeitaufwand erfordert.
Die DE 196 24 138 A1 offenbart ein Verfahren zur Durchführung von Abbundarbeiten an einem Holzbauteil mit einem um eine Mittelachse rotierenden Kombinationswerkzeug, das einen Walzenfräser und einen von der Stirnseite des Walzenfräsers vorstehenden Schwalbenschwanzfräser mit einem Schaft und einem kegelstumpfförmigen Fräskopf mit einem Kegelwinkel α enthält.
