Definitions
- the invention relates to a box window with two spaced-apart frame, between which a peripheral box frame is arranged, wherein the frame are associated with a glazing wing frame associated with the associated frame, said inner frame and inner sash and possibly the Chest frames made of wood.

- the box window is a double window, a powerful, usually made of wood, a component whose construction has many advantages. Thus box windows have a long service life, a good soundproofing ability, in particular if the inner and outer glazing have different glass thicknesses, good heat protection and, due to its construction, a maximum glazing area and thus better light incidence compared to common single windows today.
- the invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a particularly low-maintenance box window with a particularly long life, in which the classic, very narrow and slim look of a typical box window is maintained.

Description
The invention relates to a box window with two spaced-apart frame, between which a peripheral box frame is arranged, wherein the frame are associated with a glazing wing frame associated with the associated frame, said inner frame and inner sash and possibly the Chest frames made of wood.
The two separate, rigid frame of a double window are combined in a box window structurally on the circumferentially closed box frame. This results in closed casement, the glazed wing frame, a closed, box-shaped cavity between the inner and outer glazing and the box frame. The classic Viennese box window is, for example, a box window with two window levels, the inner and outer casements of which can be opened separately, inner and outer casement windows opening inwards. In the case of the Grazer box window, on the other hand, the outer casements strike outwards and the inner casement windows inwards. But there are other box window variants. The box window is a double window, a powerful, usually made of wood, a component whose construction has many advantages. Thus box windows have a long service life, a good soundproofing ability, in particular if the inner and outer glazing have different glass thicknesses, good heat protection and, due to its construction, a maximum glazing area and thus better light incidence compared to common single windows today.
A disadvantage of these windows, however, that in particular the outer, weathered parts, namely window frames and sash, require regular maintenance to achieve the intended life of one hundred and more years. This requires the exposed parts regularly sanded and freshly painted. The use of known, serving as weathering, metal facing shells should be avoided because it can be the classic, very narrow and slim look of the typical box window can be obtained. There is the approach of making box windows maintenance-free, that both the outer frame and the outer casement are equipped with metallic attachment shells. But this suffers from the slenderness of the profiles.
The invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a particularly low-maintenance box window with a particularly long life, in which the classic, very narrow and slim look of a typical box window is maintained.
The invention solves this problem by the fact that the outer frame and the outer casement consist of attached to the box frame metal profiles.
Particularly advantageous conditions arise, however, if the outer frame and the outer casement are made of aluminum profiles, as they ensure the desired properties in terms of maintenance-free with a particularly long service life with relatively low weight.
The invention can be used for any type of box window, such as for post windows, frame post windows, bar frame windows or the like. The outer wings, so the outer casement and the outer frame are preferably composed of a hollow aluminum profile, the hollow chamber profile is preferably equipped with an insulating material, is foamed in particular with a foam. For insulation reasons, it is advantageous if the box frame as well as the inner casement, so the inner casement and the inner frame are made of wood. However, it may be advantageous if the box frame also made of metal profiles, in particular made of aluminum profiles. A corresponding hollow chamber profile is preferably again equipped with a thermal insulation. With the invention, frame viewing widths (widths) of 43mm and below can be achieved at profile thickness of 40mm and below.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the outer casement takes up the glazing in a fold, wherein the glazing is held in the fold with a holding frame which is fixed with the interposition of an insulator on the casement. This insulator ensures a thermal separation and thus improves the thermal insulation capacity of the box window. If the insulator is L-shaped, one of its legs can protrude into the receiving fold of the glazing and serve as a support for the glazing. The other leg is disposed between the contact surfaces of sash and support frame, thus avoiding unimpeded direct heat transfer from the sash to the support frame.
Antidröhnbänder wirken geräuschmindernd und bestehen aus Kunststoff, Schaumstoff, selbstklebenden bitumengetränkten Filzpappzuschnitten od. dgl..In the same way, the frame can be struck with the interposition of an insulator on the box frame. The isolator may be formed according to a development in particular as anti-drumming. This not only the thermal insulation, but also the soundproofing of the box window can be improved. Anti-drumming bands reduce noise and consist of plastic, foam, self-adhesive bitumen-impregnated felt cardboard blanks or the like.
The connection between the box frame and the frame can be grooved, screwed, ribbed, doweled, tapped, glued, or box frame and frame are directly on an anti-drumming tape. In order to create an advantageous connection between the frame and the box frame, it is proposed that the outer frame box side has a circumferential groove around the frame into which engages a projecting from the box frame frame inside frame spring. Alternatively, the outer frame on the box frame side may have a peripheral to the frame spring, which engages in a box frame outside groove.
Likewise, the inner frame on the box frame side may have a circumferential groove around the frame into which engages a spring projecting from the box frame in the direction of the box frame inside. Alternatively, in turn, the inner window frame frame side could have a circumferential to the frame spring, which engages in a box frame-side groove.
It is particularly advantageous if the outer frame forms a projecting against the box frame and posted on the box frame approach that at least partially forms a drainage surface for condensation. The advantage is that the metallic approach thus practically forms part of the box frame. The approach has the same collision cross section and is struck against the box frame shock, so attached to this, with appropriate seals in this area prevent moisture from entering the wood. With this attack on the wooden box frame to the frame encircling, approach od an aluminum profile. Like. In the vicinity of the outer window or the outer window precipitating condensation is properly dissipated and kept away from the wood components. For this purpose, the approach projects in particular by a certain amount beyond the inner sash frame plane against the box frame.
For the advantageous collection and discharge of condensation, it is proposed that the lower window frame leg, in particular the approach, form a drainage channel for condensed water extending over the frame leg length. In this case, the drainage surface and / or the drainage channel may belong via openings in the frame to the box frame outside facing condensate drainage. The condensate drainage lying in particular concealed behind ornamental profiles.
In order to prevent ingress of moisture, the box frame and the frame may be enclosed in the area around their outer circumference with a sealing tape.
