Definitions

  • the invention relates to a kit with a support element for assembly aid when hanging and / or unhooking a casement into / from a window frame of a roof window, in particular a swing roof window.
  • Roof windows according to the prior art are for example from EP 0733146 A1 or FR 2270428 A1 known.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a simple, risk-free and damage-free hanging and / or unhooking a casement in / out of the frame of a roof window, in particular to an already mounted frame.
  • the invention further relates to a corresponding method.
  • a kit according to claim 1 is provided, with a support element with a fastening seat for temporary attachment to a sash frame spar, in particular sash frame cross spar, the sash frame and with a dimensionally defined, for spacing between the frame and sash frame when screwing in and / or unscrewing the Casement in / out of the frame supporting element. Therefore, before the sash frame is hung in, it is provided with at least one support element.
  • the support element serves as a suspension support element. This is done by temporary attachment to the casement, in particular to the casement spar.
  • a suspension support element is preferably attached to both sides of the sash cross member.
  • the wing frame equipped with the at least one suspension support element is now the window frame, which is already installed in a roof of a building or the like is fed manually by the casement with its at least one suspension support element being placed on the frame, in particular on a frame spar, in particular frame spar, preferably the lower frame spar.
  • the processor (at least one installer) now only has to balance the sash frame against tipping over, but does not have to hold the weight of the sash frame. This makes assembly work safer, relieves the processor and prevents damage from incorrect handling. Then the sash is pivoted in the direction of the frame, a so-called screwing in, so that a hinge can be installed.
  • the at least one hinge supports the casement on the frame.
  • the hinge assembly If the hinge assembly is finished, the hinge bears the weight of the casement, so that the casement can be pivoted after removal of the suspension support element. If this has taken place, the assembly work has been completed so far.
  • a dimensionally defined spacer is formed by the support element of the suspension support element. This means that the sash frame is positioned relative to the frame by the spacer in such a way that the hinge assembly can be carried out easily and without lifting the sash frame. Rather, the hinge parts on the window frame and sash frame, which can be pre-fixed thereon, can be brought together precisely and - depending on the hinge construction - connected to one another, which, due to the reproducible position of the sash frame realized by the invention relative to the window frame, becomes very simple work.
  • the invention also avoids possible damage to the roof window due to the installation of the casement, since the often heavy casement defines itself and can be easily fitted to the frame.
  • the support element can also serve as a release support element.
  • a casement is removed from a frame of a preferably already installed roof window.
  • the casement of the roof window is provided with at least one hanging support element.
  • the suspension support element is of identical design to the suspension support element. So it can be used for both processes.
  • the sash frame provided with the suspension support element is then pivoted in such a way that it is supported on the window frame of the roof window. This is particularly possible with swing roof windows.
  • the swing axis runs horizontally in the middle of the roof window.
  • the hinge can be easily removed by supporting the sash frame via the release support element on the frame. The sash is then unscrewed from the frame. When it is unscrewed, the sash frame is supported on the frame by the release support element. Then the sash can be lifted out of the frame. It is now possible to remove the release support element or it remains attached to the sash frame as protection. Of course, it is also possible to use several suspension support elements on a casement.
  • the fastening seat is a fastening seat which is adapted to a wing strip of the sash frame spar, in particular the upper sash frame spar.
  • the support element does not span the entire cross section of the wing frame spar, but is only located in the area of the wing strip mentioned. Further extends the support element is preferably not over the entire width of the casement, but is only a few centimeters wide, in particular less than or equal to 20 cm. A larger width is also conceivable, so that a correspondingly large zone of the casement is supported. In a special embodiment, the support element extends over the entire width of the casement.
  • a plurality of support elements are preferably fastened to the casement at a distance from one another, in particular on the two sides of the crossbar of the casement. If this is particularly large and heavy, at least one further spacer element can also be attached between these two outer support elements.
  • the mentioned upper casement cross member is the casement spar located in the upper area of the roof window when the casement is in its normal position, for example in its closed position or in its slightly open position, but not in a position turned by almost 180 °, in which the outside of a glazing of the casement faces the living room in order to be able to do window cleaning work there, for example. It follows from all of this that the sash is hung in the frame in a position that corresponds to the cleaning position of the sash.
  • the sash is therefore rotated about 180 ° from the normal position.
  • the hanging work is then carried out and finally the casement is pivoted into its normal position after the hanging work has ended.
  • the hinges mentioned are preferably swing hinges, that is to say the sash can be pivoted about a swing axis relative to the frame, the pivot axis being a horizontal pivot axis which is between the upper frame cross member and the lower frame cross member, preferably in the range between 1/3 and 2/3 of the height of the roof window.
  • the invention is also applicable to folding roof windows in which the folding axis is located in the area of the upper frame cross member.
  • the fastening seat is a push-on, clamping, latching and / or adhesive property. All in all, only temporary fastening should take place. It is therefore sufficient to hold the support element on the sash frame, which permits normal handling of the sash frame without the support element being released automatically. This can be done by plugging on corresponding areas of the casement, for example on the casement, by clamping or latching with a corresponding element of the casement. Adhesive attachment is also possible, but a releasable adhesive connection which leaves no residues is created.
  • the individual fastening measures mentioned can also be combined with one another as desired.
  • the fastening seat is U-shaped, that is to say that the support element has two legs which allow the sash frame spar, in particular the sash strip, to be gripped around.
  • a web is arranged between the legs, so that - depending on the web length - a corresponding U-shape results.
  • the web forms the support element, the thickness of the web
  • the dimensionally defined spacing between the frame and casement causes.
  • the support element is preferably formed in one piece, including the fastening seat and support element. It preferably consists of foamed and / or shock-absorbing material. However, it is also possible to use a hard material. Plastic is preferably used as the material. In any case, however, it must be ensured that a dimensionally defined spacing takes place, that is, placing the sash frame on the at least one support element must not have the consequence that the web compresses to such an extent as, for example, in the case of soft foamed material that the Dimensionality for a hinge assembly is no longer given. Rather, in particular, a dimensionally appropriate, corresponding material, in the above-mentioned case a sufficiently resilient foam material is used, which complies with the dimensional requirements even with high sash weights.
  • the web has a casement seal-receiving protective groove on its inside.
  • a sealing groove provided on the casement is immersed in the casement seal receiving protection groove, so that even when the casement is put down, the seal cannot be squeezed and therefore cannot be damaged.
  • a further development of the invention provides that the web has on its outside a holding step which is in contact with a counter step of the frame when screwed in. This makes it possible to initially put the sash on the frame no need to take a concrete storage position, which considerably facilitates the handling of the casement, in particular a heavy casement.
  • the sash automatically slips relative to the frame into a position in which the holding step and counter step are supported against one another, as a result of which a defined position and a reproducible position of the sash and frame are achieved.
  • the result of this is that an additional hinge installation position results in an optimal hinge installation position when screwing in further. The same applies to the removal of a casement.
  • the invention further relates to a method for hanging a casement into a window frame of a roof window, in particular a swing roof window, according to claim 6, with the following steps: Attach at least one support element - as explained above in the combinations and / or alternatives shown - to the sash, then parking the sash with its attached support element on the frame, then screwing the sash into the frame, then assembling at least one hinge that stores the sash in the frame, and then removing the support element.
  • the invention further relates to a method for unhooking a casement from a window frame of a roof window, in particular a swing roof window, according to claim 7, with the following steps: attaching at least one support element - as described above - to the installed casement, then swinging the casement around its axis, especially the pivot axis, so that the support element is supported on the frame, then disassembly of at least one hinge storing the sash in the frame, then unscrewing the sash from the frame, then lifting the sash out of the frame, and then optionally removing the support element.
  • a plurality of support elements are attached to the casement at a distance from one another.
  • the Figure 1 shows a roof window 1, which has a frame 2 and a casement 3.
  • the window frame 2 has an inclined position with respect to the horizontal, since it is installed in a sloping roof (not shown) of a building or the like is.
  • Frame 2 and sash 3 are separated from each other, that is, the sash 3 cannot be pivoted about the axis of at least one hinge relative to the frame 2.
  • frame bearings 4 are located on each side of the roof window 1 with the Figure 1 not visible wing bearings assembled.
  • a frame bearing forms a hinge together with a wing bearing, in particular a swing hinge.
  • the sash 3 is provided with at least one, in particular at least two, arranged across the width of the sash 3 support elements 5.
  • the Figure 1 shows that the weight of the sash 3 is transferred to the frame 2 via the respective support element 5.
  • the fitters of a processor must therefore only the sash 3 in the position of Figure 1 bring, but then no longer carry the weight of the casement 3, but only balance against tipping over.
  • - according to arrow A in Figure 1 - The sash 3 pivoted towards the frame 2, so that the position of the Figure 2 results. In this case, the sash 3 continues to be supported on the frame 2 via the at least one support element 5.
  • a hinge assembly can be carried out, that is, the respective wing bearing merged with the respective frame bearing, so that a functional hinge is created, in the present case a respective swing hinge.
  • the sash frame can be pivoted about the swing hinges in the direction of arrow B after removal of the at least one support element 5 and can be moved into its closed position, for example.
  • the at least one support element 5 serving as an assembly aid, as well as its positioning, use, etc., is described below with reference to FIG Figures 3 and 4th explained in more detail.
  • the Figures 3 and 4th show parts of the roof window 1 in the lower region of the window frame 2.
  • the window frame 2 has two frame side members 6 which run parallel to one another at a distance and two frame cross members 7 which run parallel to one another at a distance Figures 3 and 4th only the lower frame cross member 7 can be seen.
  • This has an inclined surface 8 and a spar surface 9 lying approximately in the plane of the frame.
  • the inclined surface 8 is angled on the spar surface 9.
  • An additional spar surface 30 extends at an angle to the spar surface 9, so that the corner region of the two spar surfaces 9 and 30 form a counter step 10.
  • the sash 3 has - according to the Figures 3 and 4th - Two wing frame side members 11, which are opposite one another in parallel and at a distance, and two wing frame cross members 12, which are opposite one another in parallel and at a distance, Figures 3 and 4th only the upper casement cross member 12 is shown.
  • the term "above” of the sash cross member 12 refers to a normal position of the sash 3 relative to the window frame 2, for example when the roof window 1 is closed. In the Figures 1 to 4 is this normal position not, but the sash 3 is rotated by about 180 °, is in a so-called Cleaning position, in which the outside of the casement 3 points into the interior of the frame 2.
  • the sash cross member 12 has a projecting sash 13, which may be provided with a seal 14 on the end face.
  • a side surface 15 of the wing strip 13 is preferably aligned with an inside 16 of the sash cross member 12.
  • a closure device 18 of the roof window 1 can be located on an end face 17 of the sash frame 3, in particular the upper sash cross member 12.
  • the already mentioned support element 5 has a U-shaped shape. It has two legs 19 and 20, as well as a web 21 lying between the legs 19, 20.
  • the supporting element 5 preferably consists of a firm, but nevertheless slightly elastic plastic foam. It preferably has a length in the range of approximately 3 to 20 cm.
  • the support element 5 has on an inner side 22 of the web 21 a wing frame seal receiving protection groove 23, in which - as from the Figures 3 and 4th can be seen - the seal 14 is added.
  • the web 21 On its outside 24, the web 21 has a holding step 25.
  • the processor Before the sash frame 3 is installed in the frame 2, the processor temporarily fixes at least one support element 5 to the sash frame 3.
  • the support element 5 has a fastening seat 26, which in the above exemplary embodiment is designed as a clamp seat. It is formed in that the two legs 19, 20 receive at least the wing strip 13 between them in a clamping manner.
  • the support element 5 is according to the Figures 3 and 4th attached to the sash 3 such that an end face 27 of the sash 13 is supported on the inside 22 of the web 21.
  • the transition of the outside 28 of the support element 5 in the area of its in the Figures 3 and 4th left leg 19 to the web 21 can be rounded (rounding 29).
  • the sash frame 3 provided with at least one support element 5 corresponds to the frame 2 Figure 1 respectively Figure 3 supplied
  • the sash frame 3 with its attached support element 5 is placed on the frame 2, for example on the inclined surface 8 ( Figure 3 ).
  • the fitters no longer have to hold the weight of the casement 3, but only have to support it against tipping over.
  • the sash frame 3 is now to be hooked into the frame 2, that is to say a hinge assembly, then the sash frame 3 is made according to FIG Figures 2 and 4th turned in the direction of arrow A.
  • the mentioned, optional rounding 28 supports this screwing in.
  • the sash frame 3 slides on the inclined surface 8 in such a way that the holding step 25 comes up against the counter step 10, as well as out of Figure 4 emerges. A further slipping of the casement 3 is prevented since it is held very securely in this way.
  • the preassembled hinge parts namely the frame bearing and the wing bearing, can now be brought together. If this is carried out, the at least one support element 5 is removed and the sash 3 is rotated about its hinges, in particular swing hinges, by approximately 180 ° and brought into the closed position. Installation is thus completed in a simple and safe manner.
  • the support element 5 is accordingly a suspension support element 5.
  • the object of the invention can also be used in a corresponding manner when unhooking a casement 3 from a window frame 2 of a roof window 1.
  • at least one support element 5 is attached to the sash frame, the sash frame is then pivoted about its swing axis, so that the support element 5 is supported on the frame 2.
  • This is followed by disassembly of at least one hinge that supports the casement 3 in the frame 2.
  • the sash 3 is unscrewed from the frame 2 and finally the sash 3 is lifted out of the frame 2, the sash 3 being supported on the frame 2 via the at least one support element 5, and then the sash 3 is lifted out of the frame 2 and finally removal of the support element 5.
  • the support element 5 is accordingly a release support element 5.
  • the web 21 forms a support element 31, namely a dimensionally defined support element 31 for keeping the frame 2 and the sash 3 at a distance when the sash 3 is screwed in or out of the frame 2.
  • the defined dimension is determined by the thickness D ( Figure 4 ) Are defined.
