The object of the invention is to improve a method and a device for extending own hair so that with simple and quick handling smallest dimensions of the joint can be achieved and thus the joints are barely visible. Also, after the connection is made, modeling the hot junction between two fingers is not required because the shrink sleeve provides a perfect shape of the joint. Thus it should not come to burns on the fingers.

This object is achieved in that after shrinking the shrink sleeve this is removed from the joint. In this case, the adhesive is heated and liquefied by heating the shrink sleeve and penetrates the hair of both strands of hair. An easy and fast fastening of two or more foreign hair strands is achieved by releasably connecting two or more shrink sleeves with each other for lengthening and / or compacting two or more own hair strands. Here, two or more shrink sleeves may be releasably secured to a body or carrier. Also, the shrink sleeves may be formed by a one-piece body.

A particularly simple and time-saving handling is given when two or more shrink sleeves are formed by a shrink body having two or more mutually parallel channels, in each of which the sleeve-shaped adhesive einliegen. The method and the device used to extend their own hairs usually not single hairs, but several hairs simultaneously, hereinafter called "own hair strands" E. The shrink sleeve is formed by a portion of a shrink tube or a shrink wrap.

The shrink sleeve 3 has at least one outer notch 4, which extends longitudinally over the entire length of the sleeve. This notch serves as a predetermined breaking point at a later date.

In order to meet in the further course of its main task, shrinking, the shrink sleeve 3 must be biased along its circumference. This can firstly be achieved in a macroscopic manner in that the nominal outside diameter of the adhesive sleeve 2 is greater than the nominal inside diameter of the shrink sleeve 3. Thus, when the adhesive sleeve is pushed into the shrink sleeve, the circumference of the shrink sleeve is stretched and a mechanical bias along the circumference achieved. 1.
