Le piston creux (19) comporte un élément de liaison périphérique pourvu d'un bord de commande (107) tourné vers l'électroaimant (100). Un espace (103) à l'intérieur de l'alésage (85) est donc délimité d'une part par l'élément de liaison (102) et d'autre part par l'électroaimant (100). Une ouverture d'évacuation (104) est ménagée dans le piston creux (19) entre l'élément de liaison (102) et l'électroaimant (100). Cette ouverture d'évacuation (104) relie de manière hydraulique l'espace (103) à un canal d'évacuation (105), menant à un réservoir (T), à l'intérieur du piston creux (19). L'élément de liaison (102) peut être déplacé, au moyen d'une force (F-M) de l'électroaimant (100) alimenté en courant, dans une direction élargissant le premier raccord de travail (A) dans la section transversale d'écoulement (106). Cette force (F-M) est dirigée à l'encontre d'une force élastique (F-F), laquelle presse l'élément de liaison (102) dans la direction diminuant la section transversale d'écoulement (106). Un point d'étranglement (106) disposé entre la section transversale d'écoulement (106) et l'espace (103) est ménagé sur l'élément de liaison (102). Cela permet d'obtenir une qualité de régulation élevée.
