The invention relates to a water-soluble packaging comprising an agent and a water-soluble coating. The invention also relates to a process for producing a water-soluble packaging.
Neben Pulvern und Granulaten umfasst dieses Angebot beispielsweise auch Flüssigkeiten, Gele oder Portionspackungen (Tabletten oder gefüllte Beutel).Detergents or cleaners are now available to the consumer in a variety of forms. In addition to powders and granules, this offer includes, for example, liquids, gels or sachets (tablets or filled pouches).
In particular, portion packs in the form of water-soluble packaging with liquid detergents or cleaners are becoming increasingly popular, they fulfill the one hand, the consumer's desire for simplified dosage and on the other hand more and more consumers prefer liquid detergents or cleaners.
Such a water-soluble bag contains an agent and a transparent, water-soluble wrapper.

Denatoniumbenzoat gilt als die bitterste bekannte Substanz und besitzt einen Bitterwert größer 100.000.000.Denatonium benzoate is considered the bitterest known substance and has a bitter value greater than 100,000,000.
A disadvantage of coating a water-soluble packaging with Bitrex® is that the users of the water-soluble packaging take the packaging for dosing into their hands and thus also come into contact with the Bitrex®. If a user, after touching the water-soluble packaging, puts his hand in the direction of the mouth, small amounts of Bitrex® remaining in the hand are enough to negatively affect the sense of taste for a few hours.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide water-soluble packaging with high child safety, but without negative effects in normal use.
This object is achieved by a water-soluble package containing an agent and a water-soluble wrapper, wherein the water-soluble wrapper contains a bittering agent in a dilution of at least 1: 250.
It has surprisingly been found that when the bitter substance is contained in the water-soluble wrapper, with regular use of the water-soluble packaging no or hardly bitter-tasting substances remain in the hands of a user of the water-soluble packaging and thus in case of accidental contact of the hand with the mouth Taste buds of the user should not be irritated unpleasantly.
The invention relates to a water-soluble packaging containing an agent and a water-soluble wrapper. The water-soluble coating contains a bitter substance.
A water-soluble package contains a water-soluble envelope which forms a closed structure having in its interior one or more chambers for receiving one or more agents. The water-soluble coating is preferably formed by a water-soluble film material.
The water-soluble packaging may be dimensionally stable or deformable.
The water-soluble packaging may be formed as a dimensionally stable container, for example in the form of a capsule, box, box or container.
However, in principle it is also possible and preferred to mold the water-soluble packaging as a non-dimensionally stable container, for example as a bag. The shape of such a water-soluble packaging can be largely adapted to the conditions of use. There are, for example, various forms such as hoses, pillows, cylinders, bottles or discs in question.
The water soluble package may include one or more chambers for storing one or more agents. The water-soluble packaging preferably has between two and five chambers.
The water-soluble coating is preferably formed from a water-soluble film material selected from the group consisting of polymers or polymer blends. The wrapper may be formed of one or two or more layers of the water-soluble film material. The water-soluble film material of the first layer and the further layers, if present, may be the same or different. Particularly preferred are films which, for example, glued to packaging such as tubes or cushions and / or can be sealed after being filled with a medium.

Water-soluble coatings containing polyvinyl alcohol or a polyvinyl alcohol copolymer have a good stability with a sufficiently high water solubility, in particular cold water solubility on.
Suitable water-soluble films for producing the water-soluble coating are preferably based on a polyvinyl alcohol or a polyvinyl alcohol copolymer whose molecular weight is in the range of 10,000 to 1,000,000 gmol -1 , preferably 20,000 to 500,000 gmol -1 , more preferably 30,000 to 100,000 gmol -1 and especially from 40,000 to 80,000 gmol -1 .
The production of polyvinyl alcohol is usually carried out by hydrolysis of polyvinyl acetate, since the direct synthesis route is not possible. The same applies to polyvinyl alcohol copolymers which are prepared from correspondingly polyvinyl acetate copolymers. It is preferred if at least one layer of the water-soluble coating comprises a polyvinyl alcohol whose degree of hydrolysis makes up 70 to 100 mol%, preferably 80 to 90 mol%, particularly preferably 81 to 89 mol% and in particular 82 to 88 mol%.

The film material of the water-soluble coating may contain, for example, plasticizers such as dipropylene glycol, ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, propylene glycol, glycerol, sorbitol, mannitol or mixtures thereof. Other additives include, for example, release aids, fillers, crosslinking agents, surfactants, antioxidants, UV absorbers, Anti-blocking agents, anti-sticking agents or mixtures thereof.
The water-soluble coating contains a bittering agent in a dilution of at least 1: 250 and preferably in a dilution of at least 1: 500.
In this application, dilution is understood as the process of sinking the concentration of the bitter substance present in the water-soluble coating. A dilution of 1: 250 means that one part of bittern per 250 parts of water-soluble coating is in the water-soluble coating.
Bitter substances are all chemical compounds that have a bitter taste.
In a preferred embodiment, the water-soluble coating contains a bittering agent, which preferably has a bitter value of at least 10,000.
It is particularly preferred that the bittering agent has a bitter value of at least 100,000. The higher the bitterness, the less bittering agent must be incorporated into the water-soluble wrapper to produce a sufficiently high bitterness of the water-soluble wrapper.
It has been found that solutions of bitter substances in pure water taste much more bitter than solutions of bitter substances in aqueous polyvinyl alcohol solutions. The effect becomes even greater when the aqueous polyvinyl alcohol solutions are dried to polyvinyl alcohol films.
The bitterness is the inverse of the dilution of a substance, a liquid or an extract that just tastes bitter.
As a comparison serves an aqueous solution of quinine hydrochloride whose bitterness value is set at 200,000. This means that 1 gram of quinine hydrochloride makes 200 liters of water bitter. The interindividual taste differences in the organoleptic test of bitterness are compensated by a correction factor in this method.
Suitable bittering agents having a bitter value of at least 10,000, which may be contained in the film material for producing the water-soluble coating, are natural or synthetic bitter substances. Besonders bevorzugte Bitterstoffe mit einem Bitterwert von mindestens 10.000 sind Naringin (Bitterwert = 10.000), Saccharoseoctaacetat (Bitterwert = 100.000) Chininhydrochlorid, Denatoniumbenzoat (Bitterwert > 100.000.000) und Mischungen daraus.Particularly preferred bitter substances having a bitter value of at least 10,000 are naringin (bitter value = 10,000), sucrose octaacetate (bitter value = 100,000), quinine hydrochloride, denatonium benzoate (bitter value> 100,000,000), and mixtures thereof.
It has been found that these bittering agents can be easily incorporated into the water-soluble casing without destroying the structural integrity of the water-soluble casing.
Zur Erzielung eines ausreichend bitteren Geschmacks der wasserlöslichen Umhüllung wird Saccharoseoctaacetat vorzugsweise in einer Verdünnung von 1 : 1.000 bis 1 : 500 und Denatoniumbenzoat vorzugsweise in einer Verdünnung von 1 : 100.000 bis 1 : 50.000 eingesetztTo obtain a sufficiently bitter taste of the water-soluble casing, sucrose octaacetate is preferably used at a dilution of 1: 1000 to 1: 500 and denatonium benzoate, preferably at a dilution of 1: 100,000 to 1: 50,000
For some time now responsible for bitter taste 25 genes are decrypted, of which there are also still different variants. If such a gene is not active, it does not form receptors for certain bitter substances on the tongue surface and this human is a so-called non-smoker. To ensure that as many people as possible, especially children, perceive the bitter taste, the use of a mixture of different bitter substances may be advantageous.
The dilution of the bittering agent and thus the amount of bittering agent in the water-soluble coating depends in particular on the desired intensity of the bitter taste and on the other ingredients of the water-soluble coating. For example, the use of plasticizers such as sorbitol in the sheet material to form the water-soluble casing can mitigate the bitter taste of the water-soluble casing.
However, it is preferred that the amount of bittering agent per water-soluble coating is between 10 and 4000 ppm.
In addition to the water-soluble casing, the water-soluble packaging has a means. For example, this agent may be a solid agent and may comprise a powder, granules or tablet. Alternatively, the agent may be a liquid agent and may comprise a gel or a liquid. In particular, the agent is preferably a liquid or solid detergent or cleaning agent, with liquid detergents or cleaning agents being particularly preferred.
In one embodiment, the water soluble package has a chamber for containing the agent. The agent in this embodiment may preferably comprise a powder, a granule, a gel or a liquid.
In a further embodiment, the water-soluble packaging has two chambers. In this embodiment, the first chamber preferably contains a liquid agent and the second chamber contains a solid or a liquid agent. Alternatively, both chambers may contain a fixed average.
If the water-soluble packaging has three chambers, they may each contain a liquid or a solid agent. But it is also possible that one chamber contains a solid medium and two chambers a liquid medium. In addition, it is possible for a solid agent to be contained in two chambers and a liquid agent in a chamber.
In the case of water-soluble packaging with four or more chambers, there are correspondingly more possible combinations with regard to the number of chambers with a solid or a liquid agent.
The agents contained in the different chambers of a water-soluble package may have the same composition. Preferably, in a water-soluble package having at least two compartments, the compositions have compositions which differ in at least one ingredient or at least in content of one ingredient.
The agent contains ingredients that do not destroy the structural integrity of the water-soluble wrapper. If the agent used is a liquid or solid detergent, it may contain one or more of surfactants, builders, bleaches, bleach activators, bleach catalysts, enzymes, enzyme stabilizers, electrolytes, pH modifiers, perfumes, fragrance carriers, fluorescers, dyes, Hydrotopes, foam inhibitors, silicone oils, anti redeposition agents, grayness inhibitors, anti-shrinkage agents, anti-crease agents, color transfer inhibitors, antimicrobial agents, non-aqueous solvents, germicides, fungicides, antioxidants, preservatives, corrosion inhibitors, antistatic agents, bittering agents, ironing aids, repellents and impregnants, opacifiers, skin care agents Active ingredients, swelling and anti-slip agents, softening components, fillers and UV absorbers.
The liquid detergents or cleaners may contain water, the content of water being less than 10% by weight and more preferably less than 8% by weight, based in each case on the total liquid washing or cleaning agent.
There are several possibilities for producing the water-soluble packaging according to the invention. In addition to the vertical form-fill-seal method, the use of a horizontal form-fill-seal method is particularly suitable.

- b) filling the at least one cavity with a means and
- c) sealing the cavity with a second water-soluble film web.
In a first embodiment, the first water-soluble film (nbahn) may have a bittering agent in a dilution of at least 1: 250. Alternatively, the second water-soluble film (web) may have a bittering agent in a dilution of at least 1: 250. However, it is preferred that the first and second film webs have a bittering agent in a dilution of at least 1: 250.
If a bitumen at a dilution of at least 1: 250 is contained in both water-soluble films (webs), the bittering agent in the first film (web) may be the same as or different from the bittering agent in the second film (web).

Alternatively, a water-soluble film (sheet) may be obtained with a bitter substance in which (a) a water-soluble polymer, which preferably contains polyvinyl alcohol or a polyvinyl alcohol copolymer, alone or in combination with at least one other water-soluble polymer, a solvent, the bittering agent, and optionally further Additives is combined into a matrix and (b) by means of extrusion of the matrix, a film (web) is obtained.
In both production processes, the bittering agent is present in the material for forming the film (film) in a dilution of at least 1: 250.
The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to embodiments.
To produce a water-soluble packaging V1 with the liquid washing or cleaning agent E1, a first layer of a film containing polyvinyl alcohol, polylactic acid, sucrose octaactate, 1,2-propanediol and glycerol, with a thickness of 76 microns to form a recess by means of vacuum in pulled a hollow. Subsequently, the bulge was filled with 30 ml of the liquid detergent or cleaning agent E1. After covering the agent-filled bulges having a second layer of a film containing polyvinyl alcohol, polylactic acid, sucrose octaactate, 1,2-propanediol, and glycerin and having a thickness of 76 μm, the first and second layers were sealed together. The sealing temperature was 150 ° C and the sealing time 1.1 seconds. The first and second film webs each contained sucrose octaacetate at a 1: 500 dilution.
In a further embodiment, a water-soluble packaging V2 was prepared with the liquid washing or cleaning agent E1, in which the films instead of sucrose octaactate contained Denatoniumbenzoat in a dilution of 1: 500,000.
In both cases, a fast-recognizable, unpleasantly bitter taste of the used films (webs) was confirmed in advance by a panel of 10 people.
After 4, 8 and 12 weeks storage time of the water-soluble packaging V1 and V2 under different climatic conditions, no contact or dissolution of the water-soluble coating could be observed. In addition, no pores or holes, which would also lead to product leakage or leaks, were found.
Water-soluble packaging V1 and V2 dissolved in washes at temperatures ranging from 20 to 95 ° C, without leaving residue.
Moreover, when the two water-soluble packages V1 and V2 were in contact with the skin, in particular when in contact with dry or slightly moist hands, no transfer of the bitter substances to the skin could be detected.
The determination of the persistence and / or irritation of the bitter substance was made by 10 volunteers who held a water-soluble package in the hand for 5 seconds and then placed their hands in contact with their tongue for 5 seconds. In both water-soluble packaging V1 and V2 all subjects noticed no or only a maximum of 1 minute a slightly unpleasant bitter taste.
