- Subject of the invention is a device and method for producing embossed cover elements, such as lids or labels, for a.
- heat-sealable printed lid is becoming an integral part of final product holder. As such, it has a function to secure product from contamination and atmospheric influences, but at the same time has an aesthetic function because the final product is very often in shelves in position that buyer firstly notices the lid. So, it is important to keep the quality effects given by printing process. This request for keeping the printing quality is opposite to everyday practice which is applied in most cases where the lids needs to be embossed during die-cutting process to achieve easy separation of each lid in a column, what is an absolute request for filling and lid covering/labeling machines. Quality of printing is lost by whole lid surface embossing because surface is becoming relief what affects colour shine and intensity.

- the present invention provides significant advantages: Compared to prior art arrangements, where tools for embossing and die-cutting are separated and there is a distance between these two tools, in the arrangement proposed herein it is easier to make accurate positioning of the foil in relationship to moving parts of the tools. Furthermore, the proposed solution no longer requires an adoption of die-cutting machine for acceptance of two tools. Furthermore, the present invention overcomes the problem that the embossing tool is moved by an excenter and at the same time the position of elements for embossing has to be changed to avoid that partial embossing to be positioned at the same place on lid or label, what would cause mutual sticking of lids instead of separation. Insofar, the control of the method and device disclosed herein is simplified and less susceptible to disturbances.

Claims (10)
- Dispositif pour produire des éléments de couverture en relief pour des emballages, lesdits éléments de couverture étant matricés et découpés au poinçon à partir d'un matériau en feuille (1) pseudo sans fin qui circule à travers le dispositif dans une direction longitudinale, à un arrêt temporaire du matériau en feuille,
le dispositif comprenant M outils de découpe au poinçon (18) et M x N outils de matriçage (16, 17), de sorte que N différents outils de matriçage sont combinés avec chaque outil de découpe au poinçon dans la direction longitudinale, M et N étant des entiers tels que M ≥ 1 et N ≥ 2. - Dispositif selon la revendication précédente, dans lequel les N différents outils de matriçage associés à l'outil de découpe au poinçon présentent des gravures différentes, en particulier avec des éléments de gravure mâles/femelles de même forme et de même nombre mais à des positions différentes et/ou avec des gravures de formes différentes sur un ou plusieurs éléments de matriçage.
- Dispositif selon la revendication 1 ou 2, dans lequel les M outils de découpe au poinçon sont alignés essentiellement dans une direction transversale du matériau en feuille pseudo sans fin, perpendiculairement à la direction longitudinale.
- Dispositif selon la revendication 3, dans lequel les outils de découpe au poinçon et les outils de matriçage sont à la base circulaire avec des lignes circonférentielles coïncidentes, et les centres d'outils de découpe au poinçon adjacents parmi les M outils de découpe au poinçon alignés en direction transversale sont décalés les uns par rapport aux autres, de sorte que la superficie du matériau en feuille peut être exploitée de façon optimale pour fournir un nombre maximum de feuilles de couverture, et les centres d'outils de matriçage adjacents des M x N outils de matriçage dans une direction transversale sont décalés en correspondance les uns par rapport aux autres.
- Dispositif selon les revendications précédentes, dans lequel les outils de matriçage sont adaptés à réaliser un relief partiel dans des portions du matériau en feuille qui sont prédéfinies à titre d'éléments de couverture, en particulier dans une bague extérieure de chacune des portions d'élément de couverture.
- Dispositif selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel les outils de matriçage et le ou chaque outil de découpe au poinçon sont des parties intégrées d'une unique portion d'outil et agencées dans un boîtier à outils commun.
- Dispositif selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel les outils de matriçage sont entraînés par voie pneumatique.
- Dispositif selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel les outils de matriçage et le ou chaque outil de découpe au poinçon sont tous déplaçables dans la même direction unique, perpendiculairement au plan du matériau en feuille.
- Procédé pour produire des éléments de couverture en relief pour des emballages, lesdits éléments de couverture étant matricés et découpés au poinçon à partir d'un matériau en feuille pseudo sans fin qui circule à travers un dispositif de matriçage et de découpe au poinçon dans une direction longitudinale, à un arrêt temporaire du matériau en feuille, dans lequel on fait fonctionner un dispositif selon l'une des revendications précédentes de telle façon que chacun de N ≥ 2 outils de matriçage, qui sont combinés avec un outil de découpe au poinçon dans la direction longitudinale, est actionné à chaque Nième course de découpe au poinçon.
- Procédé selon la revendication 9, dans lequel pour le matriçage et la découpe au poinçon des éléments de couverture, on utilise une unique marque de concordance sur le matériau en feuille pour commander la position à la fois des matriçages et des découpes au poinçon.
