The invention relates to a contacting device for connecting an electrical conductor, a coil body and an inductive electrical component. The invention also relates to a method for connecting an electrical conductor to a contacting device of a coil former.

Kontaktierungsvorrichtungen aus dem Stand der Technik sind offenbart in der US6142817 A , der US5759061 A , der US2010/035484 A1 , der US5911593 A und der JPS5792762 A .In electronic circuits and electronic components, it is often necessary to connect electrical conductors to a contacting device. Such electronic components include inductive components, for example bobbins, which are wound with an electrical conductor. For contacting, the coil body can have a contacting device with contact elements. The contact elements can be, for example, contact pins with which an inductive component that contains the coil body can be connected to other components of an electronic circuit. Prior art contacting devices are disclosed in US Pat US6142817 A , the US5759061 A , the US2010 / 035484 A1 , the US5911593 A and the JPS5792762 A .

An electrical conductor that is wound on the bobbin must be connected to the contacting device with the contact pin. Such an electrical conductor can be, for example, a stranded wire or an enamelled wire. The connection of the electrical conductor can be particularly difficult if the electrical conductor has a larger cross section than the outer contact elements / contact pins of the coil former.

It is desirable to specify a contacting device for connecting an electrical conductor, with which it is possible to connect the electrical conductor to the contacting device in an easy-to-use manner and reliably. Furthermore, there is a need to specify a bobbin for winding with an electrical conductor, in which an electrical conductor can be connected to a contacting device of the bobbin in a reliable and easy-to-use manner. Furthermore, an inductive electrical component, in particular a coil or a transformer, is to be specified, in which an electrical conductor can be connected to a contacting device in a reliable and easy-to-use manner. In addition, a method for connecting an electrical conductor to a contacting device of a coil body is to be specified.

A contacting device according to the invention for connecting an electrical conductor is specified in claim 1.

The receiving area can have a trapezoidal cross-section. The receiving area has at least one first side wall and at least one second side wall, the at least one first and the at least one second side wall extending from opposite sides of the bottom surface to the inlet opening. The first and second side walls are arranged between the inlet opening and the bottom surface in such a way that the receiving area tapers continuously from the inlet opening to the bottom surface. As a result, the holder is designed in such a way that the electrical conductor can be fixed on the holder without bending the at least one first and the at least one second side wall.

Vorzugsweise beträgt der Neigungswinkel 5° bis 7°.According to one embodiment, a corner can be formed between the at least one first side wall and the bottom surface and between the at least one second side wall and the bottom surface. The at least one first side wall and the at least one second side wall can each be arranged at an angle of inclination between 5 ° and 15 ° with respect to a perpendicular to the floor surface. The angle of inclination is preferably 5 ° to 7 °.

According to a further embodiment of the contacting device, the distance between the at least one first side wall and the at least one second side wall directly below the inlet opening can be greater than the width of the bottom surface between the at least one first side wall and the at least one second side wall. In particular, the ratio between the distance between the at least one first side wall and the at least one second side wall immediately below the inlet opening and the width of the bottom surface between the at least one first and the at least one second side wall can be 1.2 to 3.

According to a further embodiment of the contacting device, the holder has at least one projection which narrows the entry opening into the receiving area. If the electrical conductor is initially still loosely inserted into the receiving area of the holder through the entry opening, the projection prevents the conductor from slipping out of the receiving area. The projection can be designed in the form of hooks. The projection can be formed, for example, by two hooks, the distance between the two hooks or projections preferably being adapted to the cross section of the electrical conductor. The projections can thus, for example, cause a clamping or fixation in an x-direction, in the direction of the normal to the floor surface.

The receiving area can be designed as a material recess in the form of a groove in the material of the connection contact. The material recess can be shaped in such a way that the cross section of the electrical conductor when pressed in of the conductor in the receiving area is deformed with a force or when the electrical conductor is pressed against the bottom surface and the side walls of the receiving area in the material recess and is thereby held in a press fit in the receiving area. For this purpose, the inner surface of the recess must be adapted to a cross section of the electrical conductor. The recess can be designed, for example, in such a way that a previously approximately round cross section of the electrical conductor is deformed when the conductor is pressed into the receiving area and thus the electrical conductor can also be fixed in a z-direction perpendicular to the x-direction.

The contacting device further comprises a contact pin for applying an electrical signal. The connection contact and the contact pin are connected to one another and formed from the same piece of material.

In claim 9, a bobbin for winding with an electrical conductor is defined. The coil body comprises a contacting device according to the invention for connecting the electrical conductor. The contacting device can, for example, be embedded in the material of the coil body. The contacting device can be encapsulated by the material of the bobbin or cast into the material of the bobbin.

In claim 10, an inductive electrical component, in particular a coil or a transformer, is specified. The component comprises the coil body of the aforementioned type, the coil body being wound with the electrical conductor. The electrical conductor is held in a press fit in the receiving area of the connection contact. The Electrical conductors can be designed as a stranded or enamelled wire with a cross section between 0.05 mm 2 and 95 mm 2 , for example with a cross section of 1.6 mm 2 .

A method according to the invention for connecting an electrical conductor to a contacting device of a coil former is specified in claim 12. The procedure accordingly comprises the following steps:
  • Provision of the previously specified coil former,
  • Fixing the electrical conductor on the connection contact of the contacting device by inserting the electrical conductor into the receiving area of the connection contact in such a way that when the electrical conductor is inserted into the receiving area, the cross section of the electrical conductor is deformed, whereby the electrical conductor is clamped on the connection contact is held.

After being inserted through the entry opening into the receiving area, the electrical conductor is initially fixed by the projection in a first direction parallel to the vertical on the bottom surface of the receiving area, so that the electrical conductor can no longer slide out of the receiving area. The electrical conductor is then fixed to the connection contact by pressing it against the bottom surface in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The electrical conductor can be fixed to the connection contact in such a way that one end of the electrical conductor protrudes from the holder. To make electrical contact between the conductor and the connection contact, a soldering material is applied to the end of the electrical conductor. As a result, an insulating sheath melts the conductive wires of the electrical conductor, whereby the end of the electrical conductor is electrically contacted with the connection contact.

In the Figures 1A, 1B , 1C and 1D an embodiment according to the invention of a contacting device 100 for connecting an electrical conductor is shown. The figures show different views of the contacting device. The contacting device 100 comprises a connection contact 101 for fixing the electrical conductor. The connection contact 101 has a holder 110 for this purpose. The holder 110 is designed in such a way that the electrical conductor can be connected to the connection contact 101 by being clamped in the holder 110, without the holder having to be deformed for this purpose.

The holder 110 can have a receiving area 112 for receiving the electrical conductor. The receiving area 112 has an inlet opening E112 and a bottom surface B112. The receiving area 112 extends between the inlet opening E112 and the bottom surface B112. The receiving area 112 tapers between the inlet opening E112 and the bottom surface B112 in such a way that when it is inserted of the electrical conductor 11 is deformed into the receiving region 112, a cross section A11 of the electrical conductor 11, as a result of which the electrical conductor is held in a press fit on the connection contact 101.

Figure 1C shows the electrical conductor 11, which is deformed when it is clamped in the holder 110. By deforming its cross section A11, the electrical conductor 11 can be fixed to the connection contact.

The holder 110 can have at least one projection 111 which narrows the inlet opening E112 into the receiving area 112. This material projection can be arranged above the receiving area 112. Instead of a single protrusion, as in the Figure 1A, 1B , 1C and 1D provided embodiment, two material projections 1111 and 1112 can also be provided, which delimit or constrict the inlet opening E112 into the receiving area 112.

The holder 110 can be designed as a material recess or groove in the material of the connection contact 101. The area A112 of the receiving area 112 is adapted to the cross section of the electrical conductor to be clamped. The recess can be shaped, for example, in such a way that the area A112 corresponds at least to the cross section of the electrical conductor. With regard to its shape, the recess or groove of the holder 110 can be V-shaped in cross section or, as in FIG Figures 1A, 1B , 1C and 1D is shown to be trapezoidal.

The receiving area 112 can have at least a first and a second side wall. In the embodiment of Figures 1A, 1B , 1C and 1D the receiving area 112 has the side walls S112a and S112b. The bottom surface can be designed as a flat surface. A corner is formed between the side walls S112a, S112b and the flat bottom surface. The side walls S112a, S112b extend from opposite sides of the bottom surface B112 as far as the inlet opening E112. The side walls can be arranged at an angle of inclination to the floor surface, so that the receiving area 112 tapers continuously starting from the inlet opening E112 as far as the floor surface B112.

The holder 110 is designed by the projection 111 to fix the electrical conductor in an x-direction, perpendicular to the normal, on the floor surface B112 when the electrical conductor is inserted into the receiving area. The projection can do this in the Figures 1A to 1D have hooks 1111, 1112 shown. When it is inserted into the receiving area, it is thus ensured that the electrical conductor does not slip out of the receiving area 112 again.

Due to the tapering of the receiving area 112, the holder 110 is also designed to fix the electrical conductor in a z-direction when it is pressed further into the receiving area 112, the x and z directions being oriented orthogonally to one another. When the electrical conductor is connected to the contacting device, the cross section A11 of the electrical conductor is first deformed by the projection 111 and then by the shape of the receiving area 112.

So that the projection 111 can fix the electrical conductor 11 in the x direction, the distance between the projections 1111 and 1112 can be between 70% and 85% of the diameter of the electrical conductor. The distance should can be selected such that when the electrical conductor is pressed into the receiving area 112, a wire of the electrical conductor is not injured.

The receiving area 112 can be wider directly below the inlet opening than directly above the floor surface. The receiving area 112 can be designed in such a way that a ratio of an outer dimension da, which indicates a distance between the side walls S112a, S112b directly below the inlet opening E112, to an inner dimension di, which indicates a width of the bottom surface between the side walls S112a, S112b, for example 1.2 to 3.

The side walls S112a, S112b can be arranged on the floor surface at an angle of inclination between 5 ° and 15 ° with respect to a perpendicular to the floor surface. It has proven to be particularly advantageous for clamping the electrical conductor 11 in the receiving area 112 if the angle between the perpendicular to the bottom surface B112 and the side walls is 5 ° to 7 °.

The contacting device 100 further comprises a contacting element 102 for applying an electrical signal to the contacting device. The contacting element 102 can be designed, for example, as a contact pin / contact pin. The connection contact 101 is electrically connected to the contact pin 102.

The Figures 2A, 2B and 2C show further embodiments, which do not fall under the subject matter of the claims, of the connection contact 101 of the contacting device 100 Figure 2A In the embodiment shown, the holder 110 only has a trapezoidal receiving area 112 into which the electrical conductor 11 is clamped by deformation of its cross section, so that it is fixed to the connection contact 101.

The Figures 2B , 2C , 2D and 2E show further embodiments of the connection contact 101 of the contacting device 100, in which the connection contact 101 each has a projection 111 and a receiving area 112. It is noted that the Figures 2B and 2C The embodiments shown do not show embodiments of a connection contact according to the invention. At the in Figure 2B In the embodiment shown, the holder 110 comprises two projections 1111 and 1112, which narrow the inlet opening E112 into the receiving area 112 of the holder 110. The projections 1111, 1112 face inwardly in the direction of the receiving area 112. The receiving area has a bulge under each of the projections 1111, 1112. As a result, the receiving area 112 is made wider in the upper area and is narrower in the lower area towards the bottom surface B112 in order to deform the cross section of an inserted electrical conductor.

At the in Figure 2C In the embodiment shown, the connection contact 110 has legs 114, 115 arranged on a bottom part 113. The two legs are bent upwards towards one another under tension, so that the inlet opening E112 is narrowed into the receiving area 112. To insert the electrical conductor 11, the two legs 114, 115 are bent apart and the electrical conductor is inserted through the entry opening into the receiving area. Because of the voltage, the two legs then clamp the electrical conductor within the receiving area between the legs and the bottom surface B112, so that the electrical conductor is fixed.

The Figures 2D and 2E each show embodiments of the connection contact 101 of the contacting device 100, at which the connection contact 101 has a holder 110 with a receiving area 112. However, the holder 110 only has one projection 111 which narrows the inlet opening E112 into the receiving area 112. At the in Figure 2D In the embodiment shown, a projection 1111 extends from the left side over the receiving region 112, while in the case of the embodiment shown in FIG Figure 2E In the embodiment shown, a projection 1112 extends from the right-hand side over the receiving region 112.

Figure 3 shows a coil body 10 or an inductive electrical component 1 with a contacting device 100 according to one of the above-mentioned embodiments. In the embodiment of Figure 3 has the contacting device in the Figures 1A, 1B , 1C and 1D specified embodiment. The coil body 10 can be formed from a material made of plastic, for example, and the contacting device 100 can be formed from a metal. The contacting device 100 can be cast into the material of the coil body 10 or the material of the coil body 10 is overmolded.

When applying the electrical conductor 11 around the coil body 10, one end of the electrical conductor can first be fixed to the connection contact 101 of the contacting device 100, while the rest of the conductor is wound around the coil body. Because the end of the electrical conductor is fixed in the x and z directions, the electrical conductor can be wound around the bobbin with a tensile force. The projections of the holder prevent the electrical conductor from sliding out of the receiving area, while the shape of the receiving area is tapered towards the bottom surface prevents the conductor from slipping out in the z-direction.

After the winding process, the other free end of the electrical conductor can be connected to a contacting device provided on the coil body 10 adjacent to the contacting device 100. For this purpose, the free end of the electrical conductor is clamped into the receiving area of the connection contact of this adjacent contacting device. The ends of the electrical conductor are then shortened and can, for example, be soldered to the respective connection contact of the contacting devices. As a result, an inductive electrical component 1, for example a coil or a transformer, can be formed.

The electrical conductor 11 can be, for example, a stranded wire or also an enamelled wire. By means of the holder of the contacting device, the stranded wire or the enamelled wire can be mechanically fixed to the connection contact of the contacting device before the actual soldering process. In order to connect the electrical conductor to the contacting device, therefore, no complicated and costly designed holders are necessary. The connection / termination of the electrical conductor to the contacting device can be done manually or in an automated manner.

Because the electrical conductor is fixed in x and z directions that are orthogonal to one another, the electrical conductor can no longer detach itself after it has been fixed to the contacting device once. The contacting device makes it possible, in particular, to use stranded wires or enameled wires with a larger cross section than the cross section of the contacting element / contacting pins to be fixed on the contacting device. For example, stranded or enamelled wires with a cross section of 1.6 mm 2 can be electrically connected to a contact pin with a cross section of 1 mm 2 .
