Description

The invention relates to a cladding element of metal ring mesh for cladding of various radii having forms according to the preamble of claim 1.

Metal ring braids are often in use, usually to protect the elements thus clad as well as body parts from injury. As a rule, therefore, meets the metal ring fabric as for example in the protective glove after the EP 0 758 854 B1 , which is the preamble of claim 1, a protective function against sharp or sharp objects. From this document it is known that a metal ring braid production reasons has two directions of movement, wherein the metal ring mesh in a running direction to a much lesser extent stretchable or not stretchable than in a transverse, preferably perpendicular thereto extending direction. This principle is used there in terms of a closing strap that is less collapsible.

From the DE 35 33 894 A1 are lining elements made of metal ring mesh for cladding of various radii-containing forms known, wherein depending on the desired elongation, the direction of the material is changed. Metal ring mesh and circular arc are not correlated.

Based on this prior art, the present invention has the object to efficiently disguise three-dimensional round shapes such as spheres or circular ring shapes or their segments.

This object is achieved by a cladding element with the features of claim 1.

The invention makes use of the running direction, wherein the running direction, in which the metal ring mesh is less extensible or preferably does not stretch at all, is arranged along a circular arc, while notches are provided transversely thereto. If one arrives at a three-dimensional rounded one or spherical body from the outside at a large radius to ever smaller radii, the material is increasingly compressed. After the maximum possible compression, however, the material is rejected and can no longer be taut around the shape. By indentations or recesses or the removal of material, however, a tight covering of the form can be ensured. Such forms can then be used for a variety of purposes, such as for architectural or design purposes, since the balanced combination of directions allows accurate mapping of the curves of the mold. These include, for example, cable loops, hose bows, pipe corners and bows, furniture corners, arm balls on garments, mittens, shoe covers, knee or elbow pads, sock parts, abstract designs, fishnets, catch bags, pouches or similar products in which these semi-circular or spherical shapes occurrence.

For the production as few parts as blanks are to be used, since these are still to assemble the mold. By notches and incisions this is easily possible because such cuts can be placed consecutively, if necessary, so that entire circular shapes can be covered with the metal ring mesh. The blanks are therefore preferably made of a single or two parts.

Preferably, the running direction of the metal ring mesh, which is less extensible or along which it can not stretch at all, is arranged along the circular arc, the radius of which is usually the larger or the largest. As a result, a support function can be generated there by the arrangement of the running direction, at which the other cut parts connected therewith can align, so that the desired contact of the material with the basic shape results.

In certain shapes, it is necessary to flatten the blank in the area of the notches or, more precisely, between the notches so as to allow for optimum shaping. For this purpose, a trapezoidal shape can be formed between the notches, the top is below the upper edge points of the notches.

Ausführliche Beschreibung bevorzugter AusführungsbeispieleDetailed description of preferred embodiments

Before describing the invention in detail, it should be noted that it is not limited to the respective components of the device and the respective method steps, since these components and methods may vary. The terms used herein are intended only to describe particular embodiments and are not intended to be limiting. In addition, if singular or indefinite articles are used in the specification or claims, this also applies to the majority of these elements unless the overall context clearly makes otherwise clear.

The figures show various blanks and forms formed therefrom for using a metal ring mesh as a cladding element for cladding radii of different shapes with the metal ring mesh. The problem with the covering of round or rounded forms with metal ring mesh lies in the basic structure of the metal ring mesh. Metal ring mesh points a basic running direction in which the metal ring mesh can preferably be stretched to a lesser extent or not at all than in a transverse and in particular at right angles to it extending further direction. This leads to the fact that in the lining of round or rounded shapes, especially if they have different radii, the metal ring mesh must be increasingly compressed. However, after the maximum possible compression, the material discards and can no longer be taut around the shape, resulting in corresponding aesthetic losses.

For this reason, notches, cuts or recesses are provided on the blanks for 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 and on the other blanks 41, 51, to remove excess material and to ensure a tight covering of the mold to be covered. If this is done with a well-balanced combination of directions, the result is an exact picture of the rounding. It can be used to disguise any round and rounded shapes, including abstract shapes, in a wide range of applications, including architecture and design. In particular, cable loops, elbows, pipe corner and bows, furniture corners, arm balls on garments, mittens, shoe covers, knee or elbow pads, sock parts, abstract designs, fishing nets, catch bags, bags or similar products, in which such semi-circular or spherical shapes occurrence. The connection of the blanks with each other via their edges 10a, 20a, 30a, 40a, 50a, 60a or at the edges 41 a, 51 a, regardless of whether these edges now form the edge of the original blank or the edge of the notches 12, 22, 32, 42, 52, 62.

From the figures it can be seen that preferably a single blank 10, 20, 30, 60 or two blanks 40, 41; 50, 51 are required to disguise the rounding. The fewer blanks, the more efficiently the three-dimensional curve can be disguised. For this it is necessary that the connection of the edges 10a, .... 60a takes place by sewing together by means of metal rings, which preferably have the diameter of the rings of the metal ring mesh. This then leads to a shape such as in Fig. 3 shown in which a simple rounding is covered with the metal ring mesh. The associated blanks for the fairing such a one-sided rounded shape can be found in Fig. 1 , It is clear on the blank 10 in Fig. 1 to recognize that a running direction L is provided, wherein the notches 12 are arranged transversely thereto. The notches will then be in Fig. 2 , as shown by the arrows connected or sewn together, so that the shape according to Fig. 3 results.

In a bilaterally rounded shape, a blank 20 according to Figure 4 used in which notches 22 are provided on both sides of the blank. According to Fig. 5 There is also a connection of the edges there, as shown by the arrows, so that forms a preferably round shape. The direction L is across the picture, so it runs from left to right.

All embodiments have in common that the mold usually has a plurality of radii R1, of which only in Fig. 13 a radius R1 is shown. These radii determine the section of the circular arc along which the metal ring mesh is arranged with its running direction L. For different radii, this direction of movement is preferably arranged along the circular arc whose radius R1 is the larger or the largest existing at this point. If we are talking about a circular arc, this also includes bows with sections or continuously changing radii, because it is basically about the disguise arbitrary rounded three-dimensional shapes.

According to Fig.1 and 4 the notches 12, 22 at its base an angle of preferably up to 90 degrees, wherein in an embodiment for the embodiment of a more tapered shape and smaller angles can be provided, as in Fig. 6 for mapping the shape according to Fig. 7 shown. The notches 32 have a smaller angle in this respect. In principle, however, not only acute angles but also obtuse angles can be used for the indentations. The point 33 at the top between the two notches can be found in Fig. 7 again. Also there is a sewing together, as indicated by the arrows in Fig. 6 indicated.

According to Fig. 4 the blank 20 has the indentations 22 on opposite sides, where they are arranged directly opposite one another, ie diametrically opposite one another. However, this can vary depending on the form.

If necessary, can also, as in the embodiments of the 8 to 11 several blanks, in the present case, the blanks 40, 50 are connected to the other blanks 41, 51, to disguise spherical Viertelrundungen or overhanging curves. These two embodiments have in common that the running direction L 'of the further blank 41, 51 transversely and preferably at right angles to the direction L of the other blank 40, 50 is located. The further blank 41, 51 is symmetrical to the notch 42, 52 on the side of the notch ( 10, 11 ) or on the opposite side ( Fig. 8, 9 ) arranged. The blank according to Fig. 8 has at the bottom of the notch 42 a point 44 and a tip 45 on the further blank 41, which in the disguised form according to Fig. 9 are marked accordingly. It is clear in Fig. 9 can be seen below that the shape is returned to the rear by the notch 42, that is, in Fig. 9 in the lower part fits well to the basic shape. Again, the sewing is done as indicated by the arrows in Fig. 8 indicated.

A comparable shape can be achieved by cutting according to Fig. 10 generate, in which the further blank 51 dips into the notch 52 and is sewn there. According to Fig. 10 the sewing is done as indicated by the arrows. The point 54 at the bottom of the notch 52 is in Fig. 11 to recognize.

Are broader basic forms desired, which have very different radii, is an embodiment according to the FIGS. 12 and 13 advantageous. The local blank 60 has a plurality of adjacent notches 62. At the bottom of the notches 62, points 65 are provided. Connecting the dots 65 together they form the base a trapezium that results in the remaining metal ring mesh between the two notches 62. In plan view, the top of the trapezoid 66 is below a line formed by the two top edge points 67 of the blank. For explanation: If here from above and below the speech, this refers to the leaf level of the Fig. 12 , If one thus connects the edge points 67 with one another, then the upper side 66 of the trapezoid lies below this imaginary line. Fig. 12 further shows that the indentations 62 are first guided downwardly from the upper edge of the blank 60 with a portion 68 having a steeper angle than the angle of the underlying remaining indentation 62. The intersection between the portion 68 and the lower edge of the Notch is approximately equal to the top 66 of the trapezoid. This then leads to a shape, provided that the blank 60 as in the lines in Fig. 12 stitched together as indicated in Fig. 13 is shown.
