Table (1; 101) with a table underframe, at least one table top part (10, 11; 110) lying thereon, and at least one table top extension part (12, 13; 112, 113) which is attached to the table (1; 101) so that it can be moved from a stowage position underneath the at least one table top part (10, 11; 110) into a useful position completing the at least one table top part (10, 11; 110), wherein the at least one table top part (10, 11; 110) is mounted displaceable in a sliding direction (X) on the table frame parallel to the table surface by means of a displacement mechanism (14, 15, 16; 114; 115; 116) wherein on the underneath side (12a, 113a) of the table top extension part (12, 13; 112, 113) there is at least one fixing section (17, 117; 120) as well as an engagement section (16a, 116a) on the table frame or on a part (16, 116) of the displacement mechanism (14, 15, 16; 114; 115; 116), wherein the engagement section (16a, 116a) and the fixing section (17, 117; 120) are configured so that they are brought into engagement with one another as the table (1; 101) is brought into the useful position and/or during relative displacement of the table top part (10, 11; 110) and the table top extension part (12, 13; 112, 113), wherein the fixing section (120) is a bolt with an expanded head (121) which as a result of gravity and/or by means of a spring is moved out from the underneath side (112a) of the table top extension part (112, 113) and wherein the engagement section (116a) has a depression which is open to the underneath side (113a) into which the bolt (120) can project by its head (121) and its opening (124) narrows down in the displacement direction (X) in such a way that the head (121) of the bolt (120) is held in the narrowed region of the opening (124).
Table (1; 101) according to claim 1 characterised in that the displacement mechanism (14, 15, 16; 114; 115; 116) is a telescopic extension mechanism whose parts (14, 15, 16) are configured as telescopic rails.
Table (1; 101) according to one of the preceding claims characterised in that the table top extension part (12, 13; 11, 113) is formed from two leaves which are attached to one another and which pivot about an axis running parallel to the displacement direction (X).
Table (1; 101) according to one of the preceding claims characterised in that the table top extension part (12, 13; 11, 113) is attached to the displacement mechanism (14, 15, 16; 114; 115; 116) so as to pivot about a pivotal axis parallel to the displacement direction (X) when moving into the useful position .
Table (1; 101) according to one of the preceding claims characterised in that a fixing section (17; 117) is a projection, more particularly a bracket-like projection, which is attached to the underneath side (12a; 112a) of the table top extension part (12; 112) and extends practically parallel to the underneath side (12a), and that the engagement section (16a) is provided as a recess or groove in a part (16; 116) of the displacement mechanism and is arranged so that the projection (16a) is pushed into the recess or groove as the table top extension part (12; 112) is brought into the useful position.
