Definitions
- the invention relates to a storage container of a printing device according to the preamble of claim 1 and claim 2 and a method for emptying an exchangeable storage container of a printing device according to the features of claim 11.
- Storage containers are known for use in printing devices, in particular printing machines, for example in inkjet printing devices for industrial applications and also in the home and office sector.
- Such reservoirs are preferably reservoir for operating fluids of the printing device, in particular ink reservoir and / or solvent reservoir.
- reservoirs are used with a dimensionally stable outer body, which have in their interior at least one shape-variable storage body, usually in the form of a bag, which contracts during a removal of the corresponding operating fluid, for example, during ink withdrawal.
- the outer bodies frequently have further elements, for example electronic circuits and memory devices, via which information, for example about the current filling level of the storage container and / or a type of contents and / or manufacturer information and / or a date of manufacture etc.
- this data can be written updated in this memory. This makes it possible, for example, issue a warning as soon as, for example, the amount in the reservoir falls below a certain value, so that the user can replace the reservoir in time for a new one.
- said outer body frequently, in particular at Printing equipment in the office sector and / or labeling systems in the industrial sector, additional facilities, such as electronic and / or fluidic devices, such as ink filters and / or nozzles with associated control devices, so that the outer body in conjunction with these additional facilities is a functioning pressure module, which can be operated for example via external electrical control signals.
- additional facilities such as electronic and / or fluidic devices, such as ink filters and / or nozzles with associated control devices, so that the outer body in conjunction with these additional facilities is a functioning pressure module, which can be operated for example via external electrical control signals.
- such a pressure module has a considerable complexity, whereby both manufacturing costs and operating costs are relatively high, since usually after emptying of the reservoir and in particular of the storage body, the complete print module is replaced and disposed of.
- Reservoirs of simpler design have only a dimensionally stable outer body with an in-mold variable storage body, such as bags, and in addition to electronic devices for the exchange of information.
- an in-mold variable storage body such as bags
- the complexity of the entire reservoir is lower, and thus manufacturing costs and operating costs are lower.
- such reservoirs are usually replaced after emptying as a whole.
- Reservoir in even simpler design have only a container that is either designed as dimensionally stable body and when emptying requires additional facilities for ventilation or designed as non-dimensionally stable body, such as a bag that requires a corresponding elaborately designed recording device for its support.
- a communication of said electronic devices with a machine control of the printing device is usually via electrical contacts, via which the power supply of the electrical device to the reservoir and the data transfer between the reservoir and the control system of the printer takes place.
- the receiving device for the storage container for example, a series of contact pins, which come in an insertion and fixing of the reservoir in the receiving device with corresponding contact surfaces on the reservoir in combination, whereby the electrical contacts come about.
- a reservoir of a printing device wherein the reservoir has at least one opening and wherein at least one of the opening opposite surface element of an outer side of the reservoir has a pointing in a first direction surface normal and wherein the reservoir has at least one data module, the at least one transmitting and / or receiving unit for contactless communication with at least one Communication module of a printing device and wherein on the data module data is stored, which can be read by means of at least one communication module of a printing device.
- a printing device has at least two receiving devices for receiving a respective storage container and wherein the printing device has at least one communication module and wherein the at least one communication module has at least one transmitting and / or receiving unit, the contactless data transmission between them Transmitting and / or receiving unit and in each case at least one data module of a storage container is suitable and wherein the printing device has at least one line system.
- a storage container of a printing device wherein the storage container has at least one data module which has at least one transmitting and / or receiving unit for contactless communication with at least one communication module of a printing device.
- Continuously operating inkjet printers have a working principle in which an ink to be printed is removed from a storage container, for example by means of a negative pressure, and is preferably conveyed via pumps with overpressure into a pressure chamber, which is preferably located in a print head and at least on one side facing an object to be printed having a nozzle. From the at least one nozzle ink initially emerges as a continuous ink jet, which decays into individual drops.
- the pressure chamber Modulating element attached which generates pressure fluctuations in the exiting ink jet, so that after leaving the nozzle after a short time at a defined distance breaks up into individual similar drops of ink.
- the size of the ink droplets depends, for example, on the applied modulation frequency, the nozzle diameter and the pressure generated by the pump and can be adjusted within the limits prescribed by the combination of said parameters for the system.
- the ink drops are each provided with an individual electrical charge, wherein the height of the charge preferably depends on the desired impact position on the object to be printed.
- the ink has an electrical conductivity.
- ink droplets have not yet broken off from the ink jet emanating from the nozzle of the ink jet printer so that due to electrical influence free carriers in the ink are moved towards or away from the charging electrode, depending on the polarity and magnitude of an external charging voltage, the ink chamber and thus the ink reservoir is electrically maintained at ground potential, for example.
- the charging electrode has no mechanical contact with the ink jet. If an ink droplet now tears off the ink jet while it is in the field region of the charging electrode, the electrical charges traversed by the influence in the droplets remain in the drop volume and this also appears to be electrically charged outwardly after the demolition.
- the electrically charged ink drops subsequently enter the electrostatic field of a plate capacitor and, depending on their individual charge, are more or less deflected from their rectilinear trajectory and fly off the electrostatic field at a certain angle dependent on their charge their original trajectory continues.
- different impact positions can be selected on a surface to be labeled with individual ink droplets, which in this embodiment takes place only in a deflection direction.
- the ink droplets receive a certain fixed charge or remain uncharged, so that they meet after exiting the electrostatic field of the plate capacitor in a collection pipe, from where they via a pump system in the Ink tank are pumped back. This causes the unprinted ink to circulate, resulting in the designation of continuous ink jet printers.
- the inks used for this purpose have certain required or desired properties, such as the said electrical conductivity or the shortest possible drying time.
- a short drying time requires the use of volatile solvents as the carrier liquid in the ink.
- volatile solvents for example, methyl ethyl ketone, alcohols, acetone or generally organic solvents are used as solvents for this purpose. Due to the principle, it is so that even in the non-printing operating state ink droplets escape from said nozzle and are returned to the ink circulation again on the catch pipe only after a certain distance in the ink jet print head. During their flight along this route, the ink droplets are exposed to the ambient air, losing some of their solvent due to the volatility of the solvent mentioned and used in the ink.
- the ink jet printer continuously the proportion of solvent in the existing in the ink circulation ink, which leads to an increase in the viscosity of the ink and thus would lead to malfunction or failure of the printer.
- the ink is continuously or at regular intervals or as needed fed a certain amount of solvent from a dedicated reservoir. This is done, for example, by time-controlled a certain amount of solvent is supplied to the ink system or via a viscosity measurement as needed, a certain amount of solvent is supplied.
- different pumps and / or valves and / or filters and / or measuring devices are provided in the ink system, which must be brought into different contact with each other as needed. Therefore, extensive tubing between the mentioned devices is required to ensure functionality.
- the respective devices such as pumps and / or valves and / or filters and / or measuring devices are mounted on at least one base plate or mounting plate.
- a tubing of the individual devices with each other is usually made by means of respective hose connections, which requires a considerable amount of time in the production.

- the reservoir can consist of a polyethylene.
- WO 99/04979 A1 is a single-walled reservoir of a printing device known, which is vented when emptying through a supply line into its interior.
- the container consists for example of a HDPE.
- pressure fluctuations can occur due to inserted pumps, which can adversely affect, for example, discharge behavior of operating fluids, such as ink ejected from an ink jet printhead. This is due to the fact that in the ink jet print head as constant as possible pressure conditions should prevail, to ensure a smooth operation.
