Description

    Field of the invention
  • The present invention relates to a securing device of a sliding guide of drawers for items of furniture equipped with a fastening pin that is inserted into the complementary hole in the drawer, and incorporates vertical regulation means of the drawer.
  • Background
  • At present, sliding guides upon which drawers are supported in order to open and close are common and well-known within the state of the art.
  • This kind of guide incorporates regulation systems, formed by a threaded pin that incorporates a nut, which when actuated makes it possible to adjust the height of the drawer supported on the same.
  • Pins linked to various holes made in the sides of the drawer are used to fasten the drawer to the guide. However, these bolts do not prevent the drawer from accidentally coming out if vertical pressure is applied when opening and closing the same. They also require additional holes to be made in the drawer for installation thereof. It is therefore necessary to resort to systems that lock the drawer in position, thus preventing it from being removed from the securing bolts. Sleeper-screws are the most commonly used and simplest option, and are installed once the drawer has been adjusted to the right height and position on the guide.
  • Nevertheless, using sleeper-screws makes it necessary to use common tightening tools (such as screwdrivers, Allen keys, etc.) which slow down assembly and make it more difficult, especially in cases where it is difficult to access the lower portion of the drawer.
  • Description of the invention, and advantages thereof
  • Given the situation described above, the present invention relates to a securing device of sliding guides of drawers, for items of furniture equipped with a fastening pin that is inserted into the complementary hole existing in the drawer, and vertical regulation means of the drawer, wherein, in the fastening pin itself, there is an eccentric anchoring rod, the axis of which is parallel to the axis of the fastening pin. Said eccentric anchoring rod ends in an eccentric anchoring head at its upper end, and in an actuation extension at the opposite end, that can be set into rotation, thus causing the eccentric anchoring head to displace laterally into the complementary hole in the drawer.
  • This configuration gives rise to a device with a drawer anchoring system, which is fastened upon introducing the fastening pin into the corresponding hole made in the drawer and locks the same in position by plugging the eccentric anchoring head into the complementary hole in the drawer, in order to prevent the same from being able to come out of the guide when vertical pressure is applied during opening and closing. Therefore, it is not necessary to make additional holes in the drawer for introducing sleeper-screws or other fastening elements to ensure correct positioning of the drawer and prevent the same from coming out of the guide, thereby reducing assembly time and the difficulty of fitting sleeper-screws in drawers that are difficult to access, such as the bottom drawers in items of furniture.
  • Another advantage of the invention is that, owing to the parallel positioning of the fastening pin and eccentric anchoring rod axes, in the initial device assembly position, it is possible for the eccentric anchoring head to be located coaxially to the fastening pin, without the same protruding from the cross-section of the fastening pin, thus facilitating insertion into the hole in the drawer. Subsequent to the rotation of the eccentric anchoring rod, the eccentric anchoring head protrudes from the cross-section of the fastening pin, thus locking the drawer in position. This simple rotation movement makes it possible to fasten into position, without needing to use auxiliary fastening elements.
  • Another particularity of the invention is that rotation of the eccentric anchoring head is to be actuated using an extension, by way of an actuation lever.
  • Using an actuation lever makes it possible to set the eccentric anchoring rod into rotation, without needing to use any kind of complementary tool. This facilitates and speeds up the assembly of the drawers, thereby reducing assembly time considerably.
  • Another particularity of the invention is that the actuation extension has an actuation point, to be actuated using the tip of a screwdriver.
  • Another characteristic of the invention is that the fastening pin and the eccentric anchoring rod thereof are incorporated into a body to be mounted to the sliding guide, along with a support tab, so as to provide an additional link to the sliding guide.
  • This gives rise to a securing device that is independent from the drawer and sliding guide, which may be installed in drawers and guides of different lengths and sizes, in addition to replacing known fastening and anchoring systems in which sleeper-screws are employed.
  • In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the eccentric anchoring rod and the actuation lever are made as one single part.
  • The fact that the eccentric anchoring rod and actuation lever are made as one single part reduces the number of parts to be manufactured and the time needed to assemble the securing device, thus giving rise to a more economical device, in terms of both manufacture and assembly.
  • In this preferred embodiment, the body incorporates a threaded regulator hole, to be linked to the vertical regulation screw, which makes it possible to level the drawer perfectly both during the assembly thereof prior to locking using the eccentric anchoring rod and in subsequent readjustments. Using the threaded screw with a serrated head makes it possible to vertically adjust the drawer without having to use additional tools.
  • Finally, another characteristic of the invention is that in another possible embodiment, the external face of the securing pin is threaded, to be linked to the vertical regulation nut.
  • This configuration gives rise to a device capable of including the drawer regulation system in one single element, by means of using a regulation nut and the drawer anchoring and locking system.
  • The above and other unique aspects of the invention shall be made clear in the detailed description below, which is supported by the figures attached.
  • Drawings and references

    Description of a preferred embodiment
  • Relative to the drawings and references set forth above, the attached figures illustrate a preferred embodiment of the object of the invention, namely a securing device (1) of sliding guides (8) of drawers (7), for items of furniture equipped with a fastening pin (3) that is inserted into a complementary hole (7a) existing in the drawer (7), and vertical drawer (7) regulation means.
  • Figure 1 illustrates the object of the invention, wherein, in the fastening pin itself (3), there is an eccentric anchoring rod (5), the axis of which is parallel to the fastening pin (3) axis, said eccentric anchoring rod (5) ending in an eccentric anchoring head (5a) at its upper end and having an actuation extension (5b) on the opposite end, which can be set into rotation, thus causing the eccentric anchoring head (5a) to displace laterally into the complementary hole (7a) in the drawer (7).
  • This configuration, as can be seen in Figure 1, gives rise to a securing device (1) with a drawer anchoring system, which is fastened to the drawer (7). As can be seen in Figures 2 and 4, upon introducing the fastening pin (3) into the corresponding complementary hole (7a) made in the drawer (7), the position of the same is fastened in place. Subsequently, as can be seen in Figures 3 and 5, the position of the drawer (7) is locked upon the eccentric anchoring head (5a) being plugged into the complementary hole (7a) of the drawer (7), thus preventing the same from being able to come out of the guide (8), if vertical pressure is applied when opening and closing the same. It is therefore not necessary to make additional holes in the drawer (7) for introducing sleeper-screws or other fastening elements to ensure the correct positioning of the drawer (7) and prevent the same from being able to come out of the guide, thus reducing assembly time and eliminating the difficulty of fitting sleeper-screws in drawers that are difficult to access, such as the bottom drawers in items of furniture.
  • Another advantage of the invention, as can be seen in Figures 2 and 3, is that, owing to the parallel positioning of the fastening pin (3) and eccentric anchoring rod (5) axes, in the initial securing device (1) assembly position (see Figure 2) it is possible for the eccentric anchoring head (5a) to be located coaxially to the fastening pin (3), without the same protruding from the cross-section of the fastening pin (3), thus facilitating insertion into the complementary hole (7a) of the drawer (7). Subsequent to the rotation of the eccentric anchoring rod (5), the eccentric anchoring head (5a) protrudes from the cross-section of the fastening pin (3), thus locking the drawer (7) in position.
  • This simple rotation movement makes it possible to fasten the drawer (7) in position, without needing to use auxiliary fastening elements.
  • Another characteristic of the invention, as can be seen in Figures 2, 3, 4 and 5, is that the rotation of the eccentric anchoring head (5a) is to be actuated using an extension, by way of an actuation lever (6).
  • The use of an actuation lever (6) makes it possible to set the eccentric anchoring rod (5) into rotation from an initial assembly position, as can be seen in Figure 4, to a final locking position, as can be seen in Figure 5, without it being necessary to use any kind of additional tool, thus facilitating and speeding up the assembly of the drawers (7) and, in turn, reducing assembly time considerably.
  • As can be seen in Figure 1, in a preferred embodiment, the eccentric anchoring rod (5) and the actuation lever (6) are formed as one single part.
  • The fact that the eccentric anchoring rod (5) and the actuation lever (6) are formed as one single part reduces the number of parts to be manufactured and the time it takes to assemble the securing device (1), thus giving rise to a securing device (1) that is more economical in terms of both manufacture and assembly.
  • As can be seen in Figure 6, the actuation extension (5b) has an actuation point (5c) to be actuated using the tip of a screwdriver.
  • This configuration makes it possible to actuate the eccentric anchoring rod (5) by means of an auxiliary tool.
  • Another characteristic of the invention, as can be seen in Figures 1, 4 and 5, is that the fastening pin (3) and eccentric anchoring rod (5) thereof are incorporated into a body (2) to be mounted on the sliding guide (8).
  • This gives rise to a securing device (1) that is independent from the drawer (7) and sliding guide (8), which may thus be installed in drawers (7) and sliding guides (8) of different lengths and sizes, in addition to replacing known fastening and anchoring systems in which sleeper-screws are employed.
  • As can be seen in Figures 1, 6 and 7, the body (2) is extended by incorporating an actuation recess (2a), used to actuate a drawer shock-absorber device (7) and a linkage fork (2b), which is inserted into the complementary fastening groove of the sliding guide (8).
  • As can be seen in Figures 1, 2 and 3, in a preferred embodiment, the body (2) incorporates a threaded regulator hole (2d) to be linked to the vertical regulation screw (9), which makes it possible to level the drawer (7) perfectly both during the assembly thereof prior to locking using the eccentric anchoring rod (5) and in subsequent readjustments. Using the vertical regulation screw (9) with a serrated head facilitates vertically adjusting the drawer (7), without having to use additional tools.
  • Finally, as can be seen in Figure 6, in another embodiment, the external face of the fastening pin (3) is threaded, to be linked to the vertical regulation nut (4).
  • This configuration gives rise to a securing device (1) capable of including the drawer regulation system (7) in one single element by means of using a vertical regulation nut (4) and the drawer anchoring and locking system (7).
  • Variations in materials, shape, size and arrangement of the component elements do not alter the essence of this Patent, these being described in a non-limiting way.
