Bei einem Verpressvorgang werden die Pressbacken 16 des Presswerkzeugs 13 im hinteren Teil, d.h. an der der Antriebseinheit zugewandten Seite, auseinandergedrückt. Hierdurch verschwenken die Pressbacken 16 um die Verschwenkbolzen 18, sodass sich die Pressbacken 16 im vorderen Teil, d.h. an der der Antriebseinheit abgewandten Seite, aufeinander zubewegen. Hierdurch wird eine Verpressung erzeugt. Erfindungsgemäß weist das Pressgerät eine Kamera 20 auf Der Bildbereich der Kamera 21 ist dabei so ausgerichtet, dass die Kamera gleichzeitig das Presswerkzeug 13, das Rohrende 14 und den Pressfitting 19 erfasst. Bei zueinander passendem Presswerkzeug 13 und Pressfitting 19, kann der Spalt 15 nur vollständig geschlossen sein, wenn die Verpressung vollständig durchgeführt wurde. Somit stellt der geschlossene Spalt 15 ein Kriterium dar, anhand dessen eine ordnungsgemäße Verpressung beurteilt werden kann. Da die Kamera 20 den Spalt 15 erfasst, kann bei einer Speicherung der erfassten Daten diese noch zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt ausgewertet werden.According to the invention, the

- A handheld pressing device for joining two work pieces, in particular a pipe (14) and a press fitting (19), by pressing, comprising
a pressing tool (13) with a plurality of pressing jaws (16), and
a converting means connected to the pressing tool (13) and driven by an electric motor,
the electric motor and the converting means being at least partially enclosed by a housing,
characterized in that
the pressing device comprises at least one data capturing element, and the at least one data capturing element is a camera (20). - The pressing device of claim 1, characterized in that the camera (20) is oriented such that it captures the pressing tool (13) and in particular such that it captures a QR code (25) or another distinguishing mark, such as a color mark, on the pressing tool (13) so as to identify the pressing tool (13).
- The pressing device of one of claims 1 - 2, characterized in that the camera (20) is oriented such that it captures the gap (15) between the pressing jaws (16) and/or such that it captures the work pieces, in particular the press fitting (19) and the pipe (14) or a distinguishing mark provided thereon, in order to identify the work pieces.
- The pressing device of one of claims 1 - 3, characterized in that a data capturing element is an RFID reader (23) preferably the pressing tool (13) and/or at least one work piece, in particular the press fitting (19), comprises a RFID element adapted to be read out by the RFID reader (23).
- The pressing device of one of claims 1 - 4, characterized in that at least one, preferably all data capturing elements are arranged in the housing of the pressing device and preferably the motor control triggers the data capturing, in particular at the end of a pressing operation.
- The pressing device of one of claims 1 - 5, characterized in that the pressing device comprises a memory device for storing the captured data.
- The pressing device of one of claims 1 - 6, characterized in that the pressing device comprises a transmitter unit (30) adapted to be connected to an external memory device, an external evaluation means and/or an external display means (101) in order to transmit the captured data to the external memory device, the external evaluation means and/or the external display means (101), wherein in particular the connection can be made in a wireless manner by WLAN, Bluetooth, infrared transmission or radio transmission.
- A method for documenting pressing operations performed on two work pieces, in particular a pipe (14) and a pres fitting (19),
performed with a handheld pressing device
with a pressing tool (13) having a plurality of pressing jaws (16), the tool being connected to a converting means,
the converting means being driven by an electric motor, and
comprising at least one data capturing element,
the at least one data capturing element being designed as a camera (20), wherein, when a documentation capturing is started, the data capturing element captures data during each pressing operation that are specific to a device and/or a pressing operation and/or a user, and the captured data are stored in a memory device and are associated to a specific pressing operation. - The method of claim 8, wherein the camera (20) captures the pressing tool (13) and/or the work piece after the pressing operation and/or the gap (15) between the pressing jaws (16) of the pressing tool (13) after the pressing operation as the data specific to the pressing operation.
- The method of one of claims 8 or 9, wherein the camera (20) captures the user as the user-specific data and/or the pressing device comprises more than one data capturing element.
- The method of one of claims 8 - 10, wherein the device-specific data captured are the type and/or the serial number of the pressing device, the type, the serial number and/or the nominal size of a pressing tool (13) of the pressing device and/or control data about the pressing device, such as duty cycle, operating temperature, accumulator voltage of an accumulator unit, the number of the pressing operations made and/or control data about the pressing tool (13).
- The method of one of claims 8 - 11, wherein the captured data specific to the pressing operation are the date and/or the time of the pressing operation, the duration of the pressing, the pressing path, the maximum pressing force or cut-off speed, the course of the pressing force over the pressing path and/or data about whether a pressing operation has been performed properly or not.
- The method of one of claims 8 - 12, wherein a name or a code is captured as the user-specific data and/or a GPS sensor or another positioning element is used via mobile radio or WLAN, so as to capture the location of a pressing operation as data specific to a pressing operation.
- The method of one of claims 8 - 13, wherein a RFID reader (23) is used to capture data, in particular the pressing tool (13) and/or one of the work pieces and wherein the memory device is preferably arranged in the pressing device.
- The method of one of claims 8 - 14, wherein the captured data are transmitted in particular in a wireless manner via WLAN, Bluetooth, IR transmission or radio transmission to an external memory device and/or an external display means (101).
