Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Bewässerungseinrichtung für Topfpflanzen. The invention relates to an irrigation device for potted plants.

For the irrigation of potted plants long water transport lines of fibrous material are known, which transport by the action of the capillary water from a reservoir against gravity to a higher plant substrate in a planter and metered deliver to the plant substrate.

In the simplest version, such water transport lines are formed from wool threads or from other household fiber material strands, which may also be surrounded by watertight guide sheaths.

More elaborate designs of irrigators typically include a water reservoir with a lid forming a pot tray. The water transport line can be guided by opening the water reservoir out of this and over the pot edge of the plant pot to the plant substrate, such as in the FR 2 410 953 A disclosed.

In addition to the thread-like water transport lines and designs are used in which the fibrous material forms a sliver.

Ein Schwimmer mit Indikator zeigt den Füllstand im Reservoir an.In the GB 2 127 264 A a device is described in which a pot forms with its lower part a water reservoir, which is covered by a cover plate. The cover also serves as the bottom of a plant volume. A fibrous material absorbent band extends with a central portion over a central elevation of the cover plate and enters into water-releasing contact with a lower portion of a plant substrate the planting volume. The opposite ends of the suction belt are guided through two slots along a spring tongue of the cover plate through this down and hang in the water reservoir. The suction belt and the cover plate are accessible only by removing the plant substrate above the cover plate. Water can be poured through a lateral opening of the pot in the water reservoir. A float with indicator indicates the level in the reservoir.

At one of the US 5,125,184 Known device protrude from several openings at the bottom of a plant pot wicks, which hang after insertion of the plant pot in a planter in a water reservoir at the bottom of the planter and transport via the capillary water from the water reservoir in the bottom portion of the plant pot.

The present invention has for its object to provide an advantageously manageable irrigation device for potted plants with a water acting after the capillary water transport line.

The invention is described in the independent claim. The dependent claims contain advantageous refinements and developments of the invention.

Due to the lateral opening of the implementation of the water storage device, the connection of the water transport line with the water storage device for the user is particularly simple and to accomplish while avoiding tedious threading in a circumferentially closed implementation.

The water storage device is subdivided into a water reservoir and a cover arrangement covering its upper opening. The lid assembly advantageously also formed a footprint for a plant pot. The water transport line is guided in a conventional manner on the outside of the plant pot along over the pot edge to the plant substrate in the plant pot.

The passage for the water transport line through the water storage device is offset radially outwards relative to the center of the footprint against the footprint and arranged in an edge region of the cover assembly. The opening of the bushing then leads to the edge arrangement radially limiting edge.

The water transport line is designed flat band-shaped and preferably contains a sliver of a fibrous material, which causes the transport of water by the capillary effect against gravity from located in the water tank first end of the sliver to the higher located second end of the sliver in the planting substrate of a plant pot, and a flat tubular casing surrounding the sliver in the course thereof between the water supply device and the plant substrate and preferably also vapor-tight, which is also present in the longitudinal direction of the water transport line when it is being carried out. With the tubular casing, the handling of the water transport line during insertion into the passage transversely to the longitudinal direction of the water transport line is particularly advantageous and without entanglement and damaging the sliver easy to perform.

The passage in the water supply device is elongated, in particular in the circumferential direction, with respect to the radially outer edge of the cover arrangement formed substantially edge-parallel recess. The opening is advantageously arranged at one end of the elongated recess.

The recess is bounded radially outwardly by a portion of the outer edge of the lid assembly forming edge web. In a preferred embodiment, the opening in a rest position of the edge web is narrower than required for the introduction of the water transport line and the edge web is displaced against a restoring force by widening the opening radially outward. Preferably, the edge web is firmly connected on one side with the cover assembly and elastically deformable at the junction or in its longitudinal extent.

Dabei gebildete Teilräume stehen in gegenseitigem Wasseraustausch. The holding device may also form a vertical support of the footprint of the lid assembly against the bottom of the reservoir in an advantageous embodiment. In particular, the holding device may be part of a partition projecting into the interior of the water supply device. This formed subspaces are in mutual exchange of water. The lower edge of such a partition wall or a vertically supporting holding device may advantageously have first sections for direct supporting contact with the bottom of the water reservoir and at least one elevated section for the formation of the preferably gap-shaped passage.

Fig. 1 shows in partially sectioned view a potted irrigation device including a plant pot TO with a plant PF, which roots in a plant substrate ES. The plant pot TO is placed on a footprint TS of the cover of a water storage tank. The water storage device has a storage volume VV in a cup-shaped reservoir VB. The container VB is covered by a cover assembly DA. A water transport line WL is guided out of the storage volume VV by a feedthrough HD in the cover arrangement DA and led to a ground spike SP, which is inserted with a tip into the planting substrate ES. The water transport line WL contains in particular a watertight and preferably also vapor-tight envelope HU and within this one water based on the capillary effect against the gravity transporting fiber strand, in the example sketched a sliver, which is extended beyond the envelope HU at both ends and with a first exposed end E1 is in contact with water in the reservoir VB for receiving water and is in contact with a second exposed end E2 at the ground spike with the plant substrate ES for delivering water to the plant substrate. A web ST projecting downwards into the supply volume VV from the footprint TS of the cover arrangement DA ensures that at least part of the exposed first end E1 of the fiber sliver is still in contact with water even at low water level in the storage container.

The envelope HU extends in the longitudinal direction of the water transport line WL advantageously up to the ground spike SP and is mechanically fixed there, for example, trapped, wherein the entrapment is such that the envelope HU tensile strength is held on the ground spike SP, but without the water transport is affected by the sliver. The connection of the envelope HU with the spike SP is preferably such that the spike SP with an insertion opening for the envelope HU predetermines a defined orientation of the spike relative to the upper edge of the plant pot TO.

Fig. 2 shows a cover assembly DA a water supply device in plan view of the footprint TS. The lid assembly is considered to be substantially circular with a circular line as an enveloping edge line RA and a radially separated from the edge line RA by an edge region RB footprint, which may have a relief structure in itself.

In the edge region RB, a recess HA is provided for the passage HD, through which the band-shaped water transport line leads out of the reservoir volume VV of the water reservoir VB. The recess HA is in the plan view Fig. 2 Run in the circumferential direction elongated and adapted in this form to the cross section of the band-shaped water transport line.

The elongated recess HA is open at one of its two opposite ends in the circumferential direction via an opening EO continuing to the edge RA and closed at its end opposite in the circumferential direction. The recess HA is limited over its longitudinal course up to the opening EO radially outward by a narrow edge web RS, which is preferably integrally material homogeneous with the edge region RB, limited.

With broken line is in Fig. 2 registered an additional implementation ZD, which can optionally be provided and can accommodate a second water transport line especially when irrigating larger plant pots, so that with the same water transport lines a higher transport capacity of water from the water reservoir to the plant substrate can be achieved.

Fig. 3 shows an enlarged section Fig. 2 in a situation where a water transport pipe WL consisting of a water-transporting sliver FB and a sheath HU surrounding it is taken out of or inserted into the recess HA. For this purpose, the edge web RS is elastically deformable in itself and with its free, the opening EO end facing elastically reversible radially outward displaced, so that the opening EO is extended and the implementation of the water transport line WL through the extended opening EO is possible.

Fig. 3 (B) shows the clipping Fig. 3 (A) with completely in the recess HA inlaid water transport line WL. The edge bar RS is by the restoring force of the elastic deformation again substantially in the in Fig. 2 returned without starting water transport line starting position and the water transport line is secured against accidental slipping out of the recess HA. Advantageously, the water transport line WL in the in Fig. 3 (B) shown, inserted into the recess HA as a passage implementation to a small extent elastically deformed, resulting in the longitudinal direction of the water transport line a holding force within the recess HA results, which keeps the water transport line in the occupied position without additional acting force, but which a manual shift the water transport pipe in the longitudinal direction allowed relative to the recording HA, as in Fig. 1 indicated by the double arrow on the water transport line when performing HD.

By taking a substantially coincident with the edge line RA position of the edge web RS when inserted into the implementation water transport line WL is the danger that the free end of the edge web RS disturbing appears and cause entanglement with an object, such as a garment of a user can, low. At the same time, the function and handling of the expandable opening is easily recognizable and intuitive to the user.

The features indicated above and in the claims, as well as the features which can be seen in the figures, can be implemented advantageously both individually and in various combinations. The invention is not limited to the embodiments described, but in the following claims in many ways can be modified.

and in that the water-transporting line (WL) contains a fibre strand (FB), which acts in accordance with the capillary effect and is enclosed by a water-tight casing (HU) in the region of the feedthrough (HD, HA) and outside the water-storage device,
wherein, in the position in which it is inserted into the aperture of the feedthrough (HD, HA), the casing (HU) can be displaced in its longitudinal direction relative to the feedthough (HD, HA).
  2. Watering device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the aperture (HA) of the feedthrough (HD) engages around the water-transporting line (WL) over at least 75% of the circumference of the latter.
  3. Watering device according to either of Claims 1 and 2, characterized in that, when the lid arrangement (DA) is removed from the water-storage container (VB), the water-transporting line (WL) remains connected to the lid arrangement (DA).
  4. Watering device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized by the provision, on the lid arrangement (DA), of a fastening element for fastening the water-transporting line in a tension-resistant manner.
  5. Watering device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the lid arrangement (DA), by way of an upwardly oriented surface, forms a set-down surface (TS) for a plant pot (TO).
  6. Watering device according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the feedthrough (HD), at one end of the elongate progression, has an opening (EO) leading to the periphery (RA) of the lid arrangement.
  7. Watering device according to Claim 6, characterized in that the water-transporting line (WL) can be inserted into the feedthrough (HD), or removed therefrom, through the opening (EO) in a direction transverse to its longitudinal extent.
  8. Watering device according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the peripheral crosspiece (RS) can be displaced away from the feedthrough (HD, HA), the opening (EO) being enlarged in the process, in order for the water-transporting line (WL) to be inserted or removed.
  9. Watering device according to Claim 8, characterized in that the peripheral crosspiece (RS) is displaced counter to a restoring force.
  10. Watering device according to Claim 9, characterized in that the peripheral crosspiece (RS) is inherently elastically deformable.
  11. Watering device according to one of Claims 1 to 10, characterized in that, in a storage position, the water-transporting line can be arranged in its entirety between the lid arrangement (DA) and storage container (VB).
