Die erfindungsgemäße Tiefziehverpackungsmaschine umfasst eine Produktzuführbaugruppe, im Folgenden stets kurz als "Produktzuführung" bezeichnet, wobei die Produktzuführung teilweise parallel zu einer Einlegestrecke der Tiefziehverpackungsmaschine angeordnet ist, und die Maschine umfasst ein Seitenprofil, an dessen Innenseite eine Kettenführung für eine Folienklammerkette angebracht ist. Die Tiefziehverpackungsmaschine zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass das Seitenprofil, das entlang der Einlegestrecke angeordnet ist, derart ausgebildet ist, dass das Seitenprofil gleichzeitig auch ein Teil der Produktzuführung ist. Die Mehrfachfunktion dieses Seitenprofils ist zum einen die Aufnahme der Kettenführung zum Transport der Folienbahn und damit der Behälter innerhalb und entlang bzw. innerhalb der Tiefziehverpackungsmaschine und zum anderen, dass es ein Teil der Produktzuführung ist. Dies bringt den enormen Vorteil mit sich, dass der Abstand zwischen den zugeführten Produkten und den Behältern auf ein Minimum reduziert ist und die Wege zum Umsetzen der Produkte in die Behälter verkürzt sind, sodass dies zu einer Leistungssteigerung der Tiefziehverpackungsmaschine führt. Als Behälter werden hier Mulden bezeichnet, die in einer Formstation in eine Folienbahn geformt werden, bevor sie der Einlegestrecke zugeführt werden.
