In the prior art, several containers that make it possible to package a first and a second liquid in the same container, while ensuring the separation between the first fluid and the second fluid, are disclosed.

These containers are equipped with a striker, which can be used at a time chosen by the user, to remove the separation between the two fluids, allowing mixing of the two fluids, and providing a ready-to-use substance.

A container of this type is described in the US patent US 4,103,772 . This document describes a container comprising two bodies each in the form of a container.

A first body has a first end, provided with a dispenser, and a second end having an opening for receiving a first fluid within the first body. This first body can receive, at its second end, a second body serving as a shutter of this second end of the first body.

The second body, meanwhile, has a first end forming an inlet for receiving a second fluid, which end can be closed by a breakable membrane. The second end of this second body comprises a flexible wall provided with a mobile striker to be able, at a moment chosen by the user, to move said striker from a first position called "rest" to a second position to cut the breakable membrane and allowing the mixing of the first fluid contained in the first body and the second fluid contained in the second body of the container.

In the container according to the document US 4,103,772 , the second body, its flexible wall and the striker are made in a single step using a molding process.

The striker according to US 4,103,722 is preferably rigid and, with its shape of an acute angle tip, ensures optimum opening of the membrane located between a first and a second fluid.

In order to allow movement of the firing pin, from the first position to the second position, the flexible wall on which it is fixed is relatively flexible. As indicated above, the second body, its flexible wall and the striker are made in a single step, using a single material. This material is initially chosen to ensure the proper conditioning of the second fluid inside the second body.

In a second step, the material is chosen to obtain a sufficiently rigid firing pin and a sufficiently flexible bottom, the firing pin, the bottom and the body of the container being all made of the same material. A compromise must be found during the production phase of the container according to US 4,103,772 in order to best meet the operating requirements of the various elements of the device.

The object of the present invention is to provide an improvement of the container as described in the US document US 4,103,772 . A first objective is to ensure optimum perforation of the membrane located between the first and the second fluid contained inside the container so that the mixture between the two fluids is perfect.

The object of the invention is a container for packaging a first fluid and a second fluid, provided with a breakable membrane, for separating the first fluid from the second fluid, and a firing pin having the function of striking said membrane and thus allow the mixing of the first and second fluid. This container comprises a first element, adapted to receive the first fluid via a body, comprising a first end provided with a distributor, and a second end forming a bottom. This container also comprises a second element, adapted to receive the second fluid, said second element being provided with a body having a first end forming an opening for receiving the second fluid, and a second end closed with the aid of a flexible wall. This second element, adapted to be received in the second end of the first element and thus close this second end of the first element, is provided with a firing pin fixed on the flexible wall of the second element, thus making the firing pin mobile. The first end of the second element of the container may be closed by means of a membrane to allow separation between the first fluid, received in the first element of the container, and the second fluid, received in the second element of the container, said container being characterized by the striker is connected to the body of the second element by means of at least one arm, the striker and the at least one arm are integral with the body of the second element and the flexible wall is connected to the walls of the body of the second element and the striker, thus forcing the striker to follow the deformation of the flexible wall.

A first advantage of the container according to the present invention lies in the fact that the striker is essentially composed of the same material as the body of the second element of said container. it means that the material can be chosen to allow optimal perforation of the membrane present between the first and the second fluid.

On the other hand, the flexible wall can be made using a material specially adapted to withstand deformation, from a first position to a second position, and thus to allow the striker to move.

According to a preferred embodiment, the flexible wall is attached to the second element and the firing pin by a chemical adhesion process.

According to a preferred embodiment, the second element and the flexible wall are obtained and fixed by an overmolding process.

So that the second product is properly protected inside the container according to the present invention, it should be ensured of a perfect seal of said container which must be adapted to the specific needs of the product to be packaged. In other words, perfect contact between the flexible walls and the second element of the container is essential.

According to a preferred embodiment, the striker comprises a central element and at least one pusher.

According to a preferred embodiment, the striker comprises at least a first and a second sector provided with a cutout towards their ends so as to form a point together and in which the pusher is positioned to be between the first and the second sector of the striker.

According to the invention, during the first use of the device, the user presses on the flexible wall causing the deformation of said flexible wall of said device and the movement of the firing pin.

The at least two sectors of the firing pin, cut at their end to form a tip together, allow cutting the membrane. Between two sectors, a pusher is present and allows to completely open the parts of the membrane cut with the striker sectors.

  • the figure 2 shows the various elements making it possible, after assembly, to obtain the container according to the present invention,
  • the figure 3 represents, in sectional view, the second element of the container according to the present invention,
  • the figure 4 shows, partly in section, the second element of the container according to the present invention, in perspective, and
  • the figure 5 represents the functionality of the second part of the container according to the present invention.

The figure 1 represents the container according to the present invention which comprises a first element 1, adapted to contain a first fluid 11, and a second element 2, adapted to contain a second fluid 21.

The first element 1 comprises a body in the form of a first container having a distributor 3 at its first end 12. This dispenser is provided with an outlet opening 31 for dispersing fluid towards the outside of the container 10. To seal this outlet opening 31, before the use of the container 10, a cap 4 is fixed on the dispenser 3.

The second end of the element 1 forms, in a first step, an opening making it possible to fill the element 1 with a first fluid 11. When the first fluid 11 is received inside the element 1, this second end 13 can be closed thanks to the second element 2.

When the second element 2 is positioned inside the element 1, a membrane 14 may be fixed on the second end 13 of the element 1, which membrane acts as a tamper protection.

The second element 2 of the device 10 has the function of containing, in its interior, a second fluid 21. In order to avoid, before the use of the device 10, the mixing of the first fluid 11 and the second fluid 21, these two fluids 11 and 21 are separated by a membrane 22.

At a time decided by the user, the membrane 22 must be perforated to allow mixing of the two fluids 11 and 21. The container 10 according to the present invention is provided with a striker 23 adapted to ensure the perforation of the membrane 22 said striker 23 being fixed on a flexible wall 24.

Le déplacement du percuteur est représenté en figure 5.The use of the container 10 according to the present invention is carried out as follows. In the case where a user wishes to use the contents of the container 10 according to the invention, it first removes the membrane 14 to have access to the walls 24. Then, the user exerts, with a finger, a pressure on the wall 24 thus moving the firing pin 23 which moves from its first position, as shown in FIG. figure 1 to the membrane 22. The user can then exert a pressure on the membrane 22 to ensure that it is perforated, thus allowing the mixing of the two fluids 11 and 21. The movement of the firing pin is shown in FIG. figure 5 .

The striker 3 is provided with three elements or sectors which are cut at their ends to form a single point for cutting the membrane 22 with the central tip aided by the three elements of the firing pin 3. As explained with reference to the figure 5 , the presence of three pushers 27 allows to completely open the various parts of the membrane 22 which have been cut by the firing pin 23.

After the perforation of the membrane 22, the user shakes the container 10 to ensure an optimal mixing of the fluids 11 and 21. After this operation, the user can remove the cap 4 and disperse the mixture through the opening 31 .

La structure de l'élément 2 est expliquée ci-dessous en détail, en faisant référence aux figures 3 et 4.The structure of Element 2 is explained below in detail, with reference to Figures 3 and 4 .

The figure 2 refers to the various elements together forming the container 10 according to the invention. The main construction element is the element 1 represented with its two ends 12 and 13. The first end 12 can be closed by the distributor 3, itself fixed in the first end 12 of the element 1 with the aid of protuberances 32 for fixing by clipping.

La deuxième extrémité 13 de l'élément 1 peut être obturée à l'aide du deuxième élément 2.The figure 2 also shows the cap 4, above the distributor 3. The second end 13 of the element 1 can be closed using the second element 2.

Ainsi, la deuxième extrémité 13 est obturée et conserve le premier fluide (voir figure 1) à l'intérieur de l'élément 1.At first, the second element is filled with a fluid 21 (see figure 1 ). The second element 2 is then closed thanks to the membrane 22. When the membrane 22 has been fixed on the element 2, the assembly of the element 2 and the membrane 22 is introduced into the second end 13 of the element 1. Thus, the second end 13 is closed and retains the first fluid (see figure 1 ) inside element 1.

When the second element 2 is fixed inside the element 1, the membrane 14 can be installed and thus ensure tamper protection.

The figure 3 represents the second element 2 in more detail. The second element 2 is shown in section in order to detail the various elements that together form said element 2.

The second element 2 is first provided with a wall 25. According to the embodiment according to the figure 3 the wall 25 is essentially cylindrical. The firing pin 23, visible in the center of this wall 25, is connected inside said wall 25 by means of three arms 26. The three arms 26, located between the striker 23 and the wall 25, are presented under the shape of a star.

According to the embodiment according to the figure 3 and the figure 4 , three arms are used to connect the striker 23 and the wall 25. Of course, another quantity of arms may be used to hold the striker 23 in the center of the wall 25.

The arms 26 are particularly important during the production of the assembly consisting of the firing pin 23, the wall 25 and the arms 26. The presence of the arms 26 makes it possible to produce the assembly in a mold, in a single and unique operation. injection of plastic material, the same plastic material being used for the wall 25, the striker 23 and the arms 26.

As visible in figure 3 the arms 26 are of relatively thin thickness, which means that the arms have a certain flexibility which enables them to follow the movement of the firing pin 23 towards the wall 24.

The striker is surrounded by three pushers 27. On the sectional view, as shown in FIG. figure 3 only one pusher is visible. On the other hand, the three pushers are clearly represented and visible in the perspective view, as shown in FIG. figure 4 .

As shown in figure 3 the wall 24 is connected at its ends to the wall 25. Moreover, the wall 24 is connected to the arms 26, the striker 23 and the pushers 27. The function of the wall 24 is to allow the firing pin 23 to move, of a first position, as shown in figure 3 towards a second position in the direction of the membrane 22 in order to perforate it, as shown in FIG. figure 5 . This is the reason why the wall 24 is made of a relatively flexible material allowing it to be moved from its initial position, as shown in FIG. figure 3 towards its second position, as shown in figure 5 .

The connection between the wall 24 and the wall 25 of the element 2, the arms 26, the striker 23 and the pushers 27 is achieved by a chemical adhesion operation. This chemical adhesion is, for example, obtained by the production of the element 2 by means of an overmoulding process.

During a first production step of the second element, an assembly is made, thanks to a first relatively hard material, composed of the wall 25, striker 23, pushers 27 and their connection with the arm-shaped walls 26 The wall 24 is then made in a second step, using this overmolding process, thanks to a relatively flexible material.

The figure 4 shows the element 2 in perspective, partly in section, to detail the star shape of the striker 23 and the presence and position of the three pushers 27, located around the firing pin 23.

La pression exercée sur les parois est symboliquement indiquée à l'aide de la flèche référencée 50.The figure 5 represents the second element, in particular the displacement of the wall 24 for pushing the striker 23 against the membrane 22 and perforate the latter. The movement made by the wall 24 is, for example, made by exerting pressure against the wall 24 with a finger. The pressure exerted on the walls is symbolically indicated using the arrow referenced 50.

The figure 5 also shows the thrust exerted by the striker 23 on the membrane 22, the latter deforming under the pressure of said firing pin 23. This deformation of the membrane 22 is moderated until it is perforated under the stronger pressure exerted by the striker 23.

As is clearly represented in figure 5 as soon as striker 23 comes into contact with diaphragm 22, pushers 27 enter also in contact with said membrane 22. The pushers 27, located around the striker 23, together provide an optimal perforation of the surface of the membrane 22. When the perforation of the membrane 22 is effective, the first and the second fluid can mix freely.

Les trois bras 26, aidés par leur forme particulière, reviennent dans leur position initiale entraînant l'ensemble composé du percuteur 23 et des poussoirs 27.Once the user removes the pressure exerted on the walls 24, the system returns to its initial position while leaving open the sectors of the perforated membrane 22. The three arms 26, assisted by their particular shape, return to their initial position resulting in the assembly consisting of striker 23 and pushers 27.
