A switching lock (3), in particular for a strike box (2) or a mortise lock, wherein the switching lock (3) can be coupled via a connecting rod (4) with the strike box (2) or the mortise lock, for use in the upper area of a door, a gate or a window, for interacting with a striker plate (5) on the frame side, with a latching bolt (8) guided in a bolt guide (7), which is movable between a locked position dipping into the strike plate (5) and a retracted position retracted into the bolt guide (7), wherein a lock lever (9) is pivot-mounted on the latching bolt (8), which lock lever interacts in a pre-catch position located between the retracted position and the locked position with the bolt guide (7) and holds the latching bolt (8) in the pre-catch position and wherein the lock lever (9) has a lead-in chamfer (32) on its free end for insertion of the lock lever (9) into the opening (34) of the striker plate (5), wherein the bolt guide (7) has a face plate (21) with a face-plate opening (24), wherein the lock lever (9) on its swing-out side has a catch recess (20) for interacting with the face plate (21) of the bolt guide, and wherein a bridging area (30) for bridging the gap (31) between the face pate (21) and the striker plate (5) is attached to the catch recess (20) of the lock lever (9), to which the lead-in chamfer (32) is attached,
    characterized in
    that the bridging area (30) of the lock lever (9) during the upward movement of the latching bolt (8) initially runs along the outer edge of the face-plate opening (24), whereby the lock lever (9) is prevented from swinging out during the upward movement of the latching bolt (8) and from locking in place on the face plate (21).
  2. A switching lock according to Claim 1, characterized in that the lock lever (9) is designed in such a manner and is mounted in a lever receptacle (13) of the latching bolt (8) in such a manner, that during movement of the latching bolt (8) from the pre-watch position into the retracted position the lock lever (9) is pivoted into the lever receptacle (13) and disengages from the bolt guide (7).
  3. A switching lock according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a passage opening (27) is provided for the lock lever (9) on a bolt sleeve (22) of the bolt guide (7).
  4. A switching lock according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a ramp chamfer (20a) is provided on the upper side of the catch recess (20) for interacting with the face plate (21) during the swinging-in of the lock lever (9).
  5. A switching lock according to Claim 2, characterized in that the lock lever (9) is spring-loaded for swinging out from the lever receptacle (13), and that, preferably, a spring element acting on the swing-in side (29) of the lock lever (9) is provided on the latching bolt (8).
  6. A switching lock according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the latching bolt (8) is spring-loaded for moving into the locked position and that the spring loading is applied outside the switching lock.
  7. A switching lock according to Claim 3, characterized in that a stop (26) is provided in the bolt sleeve (22) for interacting with a corresponding stop (12) on the latching bolt (8), so that the latching bolt (8) in the installed state of the switching lock (3) cannot be drawn over the face-plate side out of the bolt guide (7).
  8. A closing device (1) for a door, a gate or a window with a strike box (2) or a mortise lock and a switching lock (3) connected via a connecting rod (4) with the strike box (2) or the mortise lock according to one of the preceding claims.
