Definitions
- the invention relates to a high-pressure cleaning device comprising an electrically heatable liquid storage with an inlet opening and with thermally insulating walls and a pump with a suction inlet, which is connected to the liquid storage, and with a pressure outlet for discharging pressurized liquid.
- Such a high-pressure cleaning device is from the publication DE 80 01 909 U1 known.
- a liquid preferably water, heated and then pressurized by a pump. This makes it possible to direct the heated and pressurized liquid, for example, to an object to be cleaned.
- the liquid storage is designed in the manner of a boiler and has an electric heater for heating the liquid. To avoid excessive heat loss, the liquid storage on thermally insulating walls.
- a level-dependent closing device may be arranged, for example a float valve, with the aid of which, in normal operation of the high-pressure cleaning device, the exceeding of a maximum permissible liquid level is prevented.
- the liquid storage is connected via the inlet opening with a public drinking water supply network.
- care must be taken to ensure that liquid already in the liquid storage can not get back into the drinking water supply network via the inlet opening.
- Such a situation can be found in known high-pressure cleaning devices with a arranged at the inlet opening of the liquid storage float valve, for example, in a malfunction of the float valve result.
- Object of the present invention is therefore to develop a high-pressure cleaner of the generic type such that even in the case of malfunction of the high-pressure cleaner no liquid can flow out of the liquid reservoir via the inlet opening.
- the liquid reservoir has an overflow opening which is closable by a thermally insulating closure member, wherein the closure member is movably supported on the overflow opening and automatically from a liquid-filled liquid from the overflow opening from a closed position is movable in an open position.
- the liquid reservoir has thermally insulating walls.
- a thermally insulating closing element is arranged at the overflow opening.
- the closure member is movable between a closed position and an open position back and forth.
- the overflow opening is closed by means of the thermally insulating closure member by the closure member assumes its closed position. Is it coming?
- the liquid reaches the overflow opening and the closure member movably held thereto.
- the closing member Upon further increase in the liquid level, the closing member is automatically moved by the liquid into its open position, so that the liquid can flow out of the liquid reservoir via the overflow opening.
- closure member is pivotally mounted on the overflow opening.
- the closing member may be designed, for example, in the manner of a flap which closes the overflow opening during normal operation of the high-pressure cleaning device by assuming its closed position, and which is moved in the event of malfunction of flowing out of the overflow opening liquid in its open position.
- closing member covers the overflow opening in the closed position, because this makes it possible to keep thermal losses in the region of the overflow opening particularly low during normal operation of the high-pressure cleaning appliance.
- the closing member may cover an edge of the overflow opening on the outside at the closed position.
- the closing member is made of a thermally insulating material, for example of expanded polypropylene material.
- the thermal insulating material may have a very low specific gravity, in particular, the specific gravity of the thermal insulating material may be smaller than the specific gravity of water that is commonly used in the operation of the high pressure cleaner.
- the low specific weight of the thermally insulating material ensures in a structurally simple manner that the closing member is moved into its open position as soon as the liquid within the liquid reservoir reaches the overflow opening.
- the liquid reservoir conveniently comprises an inner wall which is surrounded by an outer wall made of a thermal material.
- the inner wall may be made of metal, for example, in particular of a steel sheet.
- the inner wall is surrounded by a thermally insulating outer wall. It is favorable in this case if the thermally insulating outer wall surrounds the inner wall on all sides.
- the outer wall has a plurality of outer wall sections which can be connected to one another without tools.
- At least two outer wall sections can be connected to one another via a tongue and groove connection.
- the tongue and groove connection makes it possible to connect the outer wall sections without the use of a tool.
- the groove and spring connection ensures that even in the joining region between the two outer wall sections only very small thermal losses occur.
- the outer wall has two outer wall portions which receive the closing member between them. This makes it possible, when joining two outer wall sections, to position the closing element between the outer wall sections and to hold it on the two outer wall sections.
- the closure member can be plugged in with the two outer wall sections.
- the closing member is held pivotably about a pivot axis at the overflow opening, wherein it has on two opposite outer sides in alignment with the pivot axis aligned pivot pins which are received by complementary designed pivot pin receptacles of the two outer wall sections.
- aligned on the two outer wall portions aligned with the pivot axis pivot pin are arranged, which dive into complementary designed pivot pin receptacles of the closing member.
- the two outer wall sections and the closing element are made of the same thermally insulating material, for example of an expanded polypropylene material. As a result, the manufacturing cost of the high-pressure cleaner can be kept low.
- the liquid storage has a thermally insulating lid, which is connected to the outer wall without tools.
- the cover covers the liquid reservoir from the top and can be connected to the thermally insulating outer wall of the liquid reservoir without the use of a tool.
- the lid can be latched to the outer wall.
- cooperating latching projections and latching receptacles can be arranged on the cover and on the outer wall.
- the outer wall and the cover are made of the same thermally insulating material, for example of an expanded polypropylene material.
- FIG. 1 simplified is an inventive high-pressure cleaning device 10 shown with a chassis 12, on the underside of two wheels 14, 15 and a steering roller 16 are rotatably mounted.
- a housing 17 On the upper side of the chassis 12, a housing 17 is arranged with two handle bars 19, 20, which can be grasped by the user for moving the high-pressure cleaning device 10.
- a pump 22 is arranged on the chassis 12, and between the pump 22 and the housing 17, the chassis 12 carries a liquid storage 24.
- the pump 22 and the liquid reservoir 24 of a in the drawing covered to achieve a better overview hood not shown.
- the liquid reservoir 24 is in FIG. 2 shown schematically. It is designed in the manner of a boiler and has an interior 26 which can be filled via an inlet opening 28 with liquid, preferably with water. To the inlet opening 28, an inlet line 30 is connected, which leads to an inlet port 32 arranged on the housing 17, to which, for example, a water hose can be connected.
- the water hose can be connected in a known manner to a public drinking water supply network.
- a connecting line 36 Via a connecting line 36, the interior 26 of the liquid reservoir 24 is in fluid communication with a suction inlet 38 of the pump 22, so that the liquid from the pump 22 can be pressurized.
- an outlet line 42 is connected, which leads to an outlet port 44 arranged on the housing 17.
- a pressure hose 46 which carries a spray gun 48 at its free end, can be connected to the outlet connection 44.
- an electric heater 50 is arranged, which can be supplied via an electrical supply line 51 with electrical energy.
- a float valve 54 is disposed within the liquid reservoir 24 with a float 55 which, upon reaching a maximum allowable liquid level 56, as shown in FIG. 2 is shown, the float valve 54 closes and thereby ensures that during normal operation of the high-pressure cleaner 10, the maximum permissible level of liquid 56 can not be exceeded.
- the liquid reservoir 24 has an inner wall 57 made of sheet steel, which is surrounded by an outer wall 59.
- the outer wall 59 is made of a thermally insulating material, such as an expanded polypropylene material, and includes a bottom wall portion 61 and a first side wall portion 62 and a second side wall portion 63.
- the two side wall portions 62, 63 are configured in a half-shell shape and surround the inner wall 57 each over a Part of its outer circumference. This is especially true FIG. 4 clear.
- a lid 64 is placed, which is latched to the side wall portions 62, 63.
- the inner wall 57 has, based on the liquid level of the liquid reservoir 24 below the inlet opening 28 to an overflow opening 66, which is closed during normal operation of the high-pressure cleaning device 10 by a closing member in the form of a closing flap 68.
- a closing member in the form of a closing flap 68.
- the closure flap 68 is made of the same thermally insulating material as the bottom wall portion 61, the two side wall portions 62, 63 and the lid 64.
- an expanded polypropylene material is used to make the closure flap 68.
- the closing flap 68 is pivotally mounted on the outer wall 59 about a pivot axis 70 and is in the closed position on a peripheral edge 71 of the overflow opening 66, so that it covers the overflow opening 66 on the outside.
- the half-shell-shaped side wall sections 62, 63 can be connected to one another without tools.
- the two side wall portions 62, 63 attached to the outside of the inner wall 57 and connected via the longitudinal groove 83 and the longitudinal rib 84 without tools.
- they take in the region of the overflow opening 66, the closing flap 68 between them, which dips with their pivot pins 75, 76 each in a pivot pin receptacle 78.
- the bottom wall section 61 can also be connected without tools to the two side wall sections 62, 63.
- a tongue and groove connection can also be used.
- the lid 64 can be placed on the side wall sections 62, 63, so that the interior 26 of the liquid store 24 is surrounded on all sides by thermally insulating material.
- liquid to be heated can be filled into the interior 26.
- the liquid can be heated, and by means of the pump 22, the heated liquid can be pressurized. If the liquid level within the liquid reservoir 24 reaches a predetermined maximum permissible value, then the float 55 closes the float valve 54. This prevents an impermissible increase in the liquid level.
- the float valve 54 does not reliably assume its closed position in the event of a malfunction in the further increase in the liquid level, the liquid reaches the overflow opening 66.
- the liquid then presses against the closing flap 68 from the inside, which thereby moves about the pivot axis 70 is pivoted outward and consequently starting from its in FIG. 2 shown closed position in her FIG. 3 open position shown passes. Liquid can thereby flow out of the liquid reservoir 24 via the overflow opening 66. This ensures that, even in the event of a malfunction of the high-pressure cleaning device 10, liquid which is located in the liquid container 24 can not return to the public drinking water supply network via the inlet opening 28 and the inlet line 30.
- the liquid reservoir 24 is characterized by a very effective thermal insulation and yet it is ensured that in the event of a malfunction, liquid can only flow out of the liquid reservoir 24 via the overflow opening 66 but not via the inlet opening 28.
