The invention relates to a folding ladder for hoistway pits according to the preamble of claim 1.

One in the US 2002/0112920 A1 based on FIGS. 1A to 3A described first embodiment of a collapsible laying ladder contains
  • two side rails (23, 25) in the form of U-profiles of the same dimensions with inwardly, ie towards each other directed U-profile legs and
  • Steps (27), the ends of which are pivotally articulated to the side rails (23, 25).

One in the US 2002/0112920 A1 based on FIGS. 5A to 7A described second embodiment of a collapsible laying ladder contains
  • two side rails (23, 25) in the form of U-profiles of the same dimensions with inwardly, ie towards each other directed U-profile legs and
  • one-piece steps (27) in the form of U-profiles whose U-profile legs are inclined at an equal angle to the U-shaped base surface, wherein
  • the ends of the steps (27) bear stub axles (107, 111, 115, 119) which are slidably mounted in slots (113, 123, respectively) in the U-profile legs of the side rails (23, 25), that the steps are pivotable relative to the side rails.

At one in the EP 1 749 966 A2 described laying ladder with two equal-sized side rails in the form of U-profiles and one-piece steps in the form of U-profiles are the two side rails in the folded state of the ladder against each other. A disadvantage of this known ladder is that when unfolded ladder, ie in the state of use, form the treads of the steps forming U-profile webs even with rounded top oblique step tread surfaces, whereby the stability of a person standing on the ladder is impaired, which in particular can lead to risks if the person using the ladder is standing on the ladder for a longer period of time.

In a laying ladder described in JPS594000 U are one-piece, rod or rod-shaped steps (2) pivotally connected to one end pivoted about axle pivot on the first side spar (1), while the opposite step ends by means of pins (3) along in the second side spar (1 ') mounted slots (4) are displaceable and relative to the side spar (1') are pivotable. The two side rails (1, 1 ') have the shape of U-profiles, wherein the U-legs of the U-profile of the second side member (1') have a lower height than the U-legs of the U-profile of the first side member ( 1). This second side spar (1 ') can be limited by the axle journal of the first side spar (1) inserted into this, including the second side spar (1') forming U-profile has a smaller web width than the first side spar (1) forming U -Profile. The design principle of this known graduated ladder is not suitable for collapsible step-ladders whose stages have substantially the shape of U-profiles, both stage ends are hinged to the side rails pivot.

In the EP 0 160 600 a ladder is described with side rails in the form of U-profiles of equal size, in which the ends of substantially centrally divided two-part steps are hinged, which have the shape of U-profiles, whose legs relative to the base surface of the U-profile an oblique Have arrangement to in the Use state of the ladder for the user to achieve improved stability by the leg of the steps adjacent to the front step side have a lower height than the leg of the steps adjacent to the rear step side.

In contrast, the step ladder according to the invention is characterized by the features of characterizing claim 1. - By the U-profile legs of a side spar are shortened compared to the U-profile legs of the other side spar, the space required for the collapsed ladder is reduced. It should be noted that in elevator shaft pits only a very small storage space is available, so that even a slight reduction in space requirements for the folded ladder are advantageous.
  • Due to the inclination of the U-profile legs relative to the U-profile base surface is achieved that in the state of use of the ladder the step tread surface forming U-shaped base surfaces occupy a substantially horizontal position at a corresponding inclination of the ladder. The inclination of the U-profile legs of the steps relative to the U-shaped base surface is at an assumed angle of attack of the head against a wall surface about 70 °.
  • By the U-profiles of the steps are provided adjacent the step ends with recesses, a mutual impairment of the step ends is avoided with the side rails in collapsed, ie nested position of the side rails, and in addition finger folds are prevented when unfolding the ladder.

In einem Seitenholm 1, 2 ist im oberen Holmbereich ein Loch 12 zumThe in the FIGS. 1 to 3 shown ladder has two side rails 1, 2 in the form of U-profiles. At the two side rails 1, 2 stages 3 are hinged such that the side rails 1, 2 by pivoting about the pivot axes between the steps and the side rails relative to each other to each other or away from each other adjustable, ie collapsible or be folded apart. Attaching the folded ladder arranged on a hook to be mounted in the shaft wall.

The levels 3 are according to FIG. 9 the shape of U-profiles with respect to the U-shaped base surface 3.1 at an angle β parallel to each other obliquely U-profile legs 3.2, and 3.3. The angle β has, for example, an angle of inclination γ of the conductors against a support surface - see FIG. 11 - In the range of about 70 ° a corresponding value of 70 °, in order to get established in the shaft ladder a nearly horizontal tread surface; the step depth determining width a 1 of the U-shaped base surface 3.1 is in the order of about 80 mm; the height c 1 of the U-profile leg 3.2 is for example about 18 mm and the height b 1 of the U-profile leg 3.3 is for example about 44 mm. It goes without saying that these dimensions are only examples and may deviate from the stated values depending on the respective requirements and the standards to be observed.

Als Anlenkpunkte im Bereich der Seitenholme 1, 2 dienen Bohrungen 6 in den U-Profilschenkeln der beiden Seitenholme 1, 2.The dimensions of the U-profiles forming the side rails 1, 2 are matched to the dimensions of the steps 3, such that the steps 3, taking into account their dimensions and the position of the articulation points on the side rails, in particular in the side rail 2 with respect to the U Profile legs 1.1 of the side member 1 higher U-profile legs 2.1 are collapsible. As articulation points in the area of the side rails 1, 2 holes 6 in the U-profile legs of the two side rails 1, 2 are used.

The U-profile legs 3.2 and 3.3 are provided with articulation points 5 forming holes (diameter eg 8 mm), which in the area adjacent to the front step side U-profile leg 3.2 a smaller distance from the step tread surface forming U-shaped base surface 3.1 as the pivot points 5 in the region of the adjoining the rear step side U-profile leg 3.3, in response to the inclination of the U-profile legs 3.2; 3.3 with respect to the base surface 3.1 to allow the unfolding or folding of the ladder.

For the articulation of the steps 3 on the side rails 1, 2 either relatively short hinge pin 7 or a continuous hinge axis 7.1 may be provided.

According to the FIGS. 4 and 10 the steps 3 are each at the ends of the U-shaped base surface 3.1, and the U-profile leg 3.3 with partially merging recesses 3.11; 3.12; 3.31; 3.32 provided. Depending on the dimensions of the side rails 1.2 and the U-profiles forming the steps 3, the assumed or required conductor contact angle and the local position of the hinge pins 7 or joint axes 7.1 determined by the bores 5, 6, folding the ladder has the problem that the tread of one step projects into the space of the next higher step and into the space of the hinge axis of the same. This problem is solved by the arrangement and dimension of the individual recesses. The recess 3.11 in the U-profile base surface 3.1 and the recess 3.31 in the U-profile leg 3.3 have an additional, advantageous function as "finger protection elements" with sufficient dimensioning.

As regards the arrangement and size of the recesses, a compromise has to be made taking into account that the recesses are on the one hand sufficiently large to be able to fold the ladder and also to eliminate the danger of finger scraping, and on the other hand do not endanger the stability of the steps by excessively large recesses or impaired.

According to a Ausfuhmngsform the in the step 3 forming U-shaped recesses have, for example, the following dimensions:
(1) In the U-profile base surface 3.1 adjacent to the U-profile leg 3.3 3.11 Length in profile longitudinal direction - a 4 about 40 - 45 mm Depth perpendicular to the profile longitudinal direction - a 5 about 30 - 32 mm
(2) Recess 3.12: Length in profile longitudinal direction - b 4 about 20 mm Depth perpendicular to the profile longitudinal direction - a 2 + a 3 about 50 mm with possible Bevel in the middle area
