    - the electrically locally-set points (1) are set by the points controller (2) according to the points setting command received, provided the speed of the vehicle (10) does not exceed a permitted maximum speed, and
    - a warning signal is output at a point position indicator (6) assigned to the electrically locally-set points (1) if the speed of the vehicle (10) exceeds a permitted maximum speed.
  2. Method according to claim 1,
    characterised in that
    - the speed of the vehicle (10) approaching the electrically locally-set points (1) from their pointed side is established by means of a measurement device and
    - an information signal characterising the speed of the vehicle (10)) is transmitted to the points controller (2).
  3. Method according to claim 2,
