Description

The present invention relates to a floating game device for playing or performing sports activities in a pool or on a body of water such as a lake, such sports activities being, for example, waterpolo type, kayak-polo , volleyball in the water or other. The invention relates in particular to stabilizing means of the floating game device.

Floating gaming devices usually known to practice sports activities or play in the water. Among these floating gaming devices, a first type consists of a floating element and an emergent part, disposed above this floating element and comprising a first structure and a first flexible surface, in particular of the net type, supported by said first structure for example to form a cage for receiving a ball, especially when playing water polo or kayak polo, or to form a net stretched transversely, especially for playing volleyball in the water. A disadvantage of this type of floating game device is to drift and be unstable in the water, especially because of the turbulence generated by the movement of people in the water, or even kayaks and paddles, or because of the wind or current that may exist on the body of water when it is a natural body of water such as a lake or a pond. To overcome this drawback, it is known floating gaming devices that have means for docking the floating element to a fixed element, including the edge of a pool in which is disposed the floating game device. Such a device is for example described in the document US.6.220.975 . This, however, requires the use of the game device in a pool and near the edges of said pool.

It is also known devices such as those described in the documents US.2009 / 0081919 and US.3.895.801 which comprise a submerged part, an emergent part comprising a first structure and a first flexible surface supported by the first structure and configured to play by constituting for example a volleyball net or cage and a floating element disposed in a flotation plane and arranged to delimit the part submerged from the emerged part. The submerged portion is configured to constitute means for stabilizing the emergent part and the floating element. According to the document US.3.895.801 these stabilizing means consist of weights fixed to the floating element and allowing to ballast the floating game device. According to the document US.2009 / 0081919 the immersed portion consists of a second structure on which is stretched a second flexible surface to form a panel configured to play underwater. This second structure further comprises weights for ballasting the floating game device. The presence of such weights on the immersed part of the floating game device, as described in the documents US.3.895.801 and US.2009 / 0081919 , has the disadvantage of weighing said device especially when it is necessary to manipulate it in order to remove it from the water and store it. The document 2004/221885 also describes foldable floating play structures.

The object of the present invention is to implement a floating game device which has stabilization means whose design optimizes the stabilization and reduces the weight of said floating game device so as to facilitate its handling when it is removed from the plane of play. water and its transport, for example to store it or even move it to another body of water.

For this purpose, the invention relates to a floating game device as described in claim 1.

It is understood that under normal conditions of use, on a calm water level, the immersed part and the emergent part are arranged in a plane forming an angle with the floating element disposed in the flotation plane. When the body of water is agitated, the resistance in the water that provides the submerged portion aims to maintain the emerged portion in a stable position, in a vertical plane above the body of water. Furthermore, the offset of the floating element relative to the emergent and immersed parts, as well as the fixing of at least one of the first or second flexible surfaces on an offset part of the floating element, has the effect of transferring the force on said shifted part of the floating element which tends to rise or, conversely, to plunge with respect to the plane of the water, when the immersed and emergent parts defined in the same plane, incline with respect to the vertical plane. The inverse force exerted by the water on the floating element aims on the contrary to maintain it in the plane of flotation, this force being transferred to the emergent part or the immersed part by means of the first or the second flexible surface - according to that fixed to the floating element - which keeps said parts emerged and immersed in the plane forming an angle with the floating element. Thus the floating game device remains suitably stable without the use of weight for a complementary ballasting, which promotes the manipulation thereof.

According to a first mode of design of the floating game device object of the invention, the floating element has an arc configuration delimited by two lateral ends, an inner edge and an outer edge. Furthermore, the first structure is a first hoop having two ends secured respectively to the two lateral ends of the floating element. In addition, the first flexible surface is configured to be attached to the first hoop and with one of the inner or outer edges of the floating member, in a more or less stretched position so as to form a cage for receiving a ball.

According to one embodiment, the second structure comprises at least two tubular portions secured respectively to the two lateral ends of said floating element. In addition, the second flexible surface is configured to be attached to the at least two tubular portions of the second structure and with the inner or outer edge to which the first flexible surface is attached, in a more or less stretched position so as to form a volume. . This configuration of the second flexible surface has the advantage of optimizing the resistance to movement in the water of the floating game device, aimed at stabilizing said floating game device. The term "tubular" is used in the present description; it may however be bars or rods, circular or non-circular, without departing from the scope of the invention.

According to this first mode of design, the second structure is preferably a hoop having two ends secured respectively to the two lateral ends of the floating element, the second flexible surface being fixed to the second hoop.

According to one embodiment of this first design mode, the floating element has a crescent shape. In addition, the first flexible surface and, optionally, the second flexible surface are attached to the outer edge of the crescent.

According to an alternative embodiment of this first design mode, the floating element has a shape of toric portion. In addition, the first flexible surface and, optionally, the second flexible surface are attached to the inner edge of the toric portion. Furthermore, a third flexible surface extends inwardly of the floating element from the inner edge of said floating element, in the floating plane.

According to the floating game device object of the invention, the assembly means are configured to flex the first and second structures. In addition, return means are configured to exert a force on the first structure and on the second structure so as to position them naturally in a more or less perpendicular position with respect to the floating element. This has the advantage of being able to bend the first structure and the second structure relative to the floating element and automatically redeploy the floating game device. Furthermore, a tensioning system is arranged between the floating element and at least the second structure to maintain said second structure bent with respect to the floating element so as to limit the overall height of said second structure. This has the advantage of being able to use the floating game device on bodies of water with little background.

According to the floating game device object of the invention, the first structure and the second structure consist of a single flexible arch comprising two side portions. In addition, fixing means are arranged between the two lateral sides of the floating element and the two respective lateral portions of the flexible arch.

According to a second mode of design of the floating game device object of the invention, the floating element is of rectangular shape comprising two lateral sides and two longitudinal sides.

According to this second design mode, the first structure comprises at least two upper lateral bars respectively disposed on the two lateral sides and extending perpendicularly to the floating element. In addition, the first flexible surface is attached to the two upper side bars. However, it is also possible to envisage a transverse upper bar connecting the ends of the two upper lateral bars, to which the first flexible surface can also be fixed.

According to this second design mode, the second structure comprises two lower lateral bars and a transverse lower bar arranged in U, the lower side bars being respectively fixed to the lateral sides of the floating element. In addition, the second flexible surface has a rectangular shape comprising two longitudinal ends which are fixed to the longitudinal sides of the floating element, said second flexible surface being kept taut in support against the lower transverse bar. This also makes it possible to constitute a volume in the form of a pocket offering resistance in the water.

According to this second method of design, in another variant, the second structure comprises at least two lower lateral bars respectively attached to the two lateral sides of the floating element. In addition, the second flexible surface is configured to be attached to the two lower side bars and with one of the inner or outer edges of the floating member, in a more or less stretched position so as to form a volume.

According to the floating game device object of the invention, at least one fixing system is configured on the floating element to allow docking or complementary ballasting of said floating element, in particular when the floating game device is used on a plane of agitated water.

According to the floating game device object of the invention, the first flexible surface is a net. In addition, the second flexible surface is textile, for example fabric.

According to an alternative embodiment of this first flexible surface, in particular when the gaming device is implemented according to the first design mode, said first flexible surface comprises a peripheral fabric contour whose external edge is fixed to the floating element. and at the first arch and a central thread whose peripheral edge is fixed to an inner edge of said peripheral contour.

According to an alternative embodiment of this second flexible surface, in particular when the floating game device is implemented according to the first design mode and the second structure consists of a hoop, said second flexible surface comprises a peripheral fabric contour of which an outer edge is attached to the floating member and the second hoop and a central thread whose peripheral edge is attached to an inner edge of said peripheral contour.

According to one embodiment of the floating game device object of the invention, a sheath is attached to the first structure and the second structure, the floating element being flexible and configured to be inserted into the sheath.

According to one embodiment of the floating game device object of the invention, the floating element is deformable, especially when this floating element is flexible or composed of several floating parts, which tends to deform the first structure and the second structure attached to said element floating. For this, a stiffening system is configured on at least one of the first and second structures to maintain the first and second structures in a stable position.

  • la figure 1 illustre un dispositif de jeu flottant selon un premier mode de réalisation selon lequel l'élément flottant a une forme de croissant ;

The following description illustrates different design variants of the floating game device object of the present invention. The description of these design variants is based on figures among which:
  • the figure 1 illustrates a floating game device according to a first embodiment in which the floating element has a crescent shape;
  • the figure 2 illustrates a variant of the design of the floating game device in which the floating element has a shape of toric portion;
  • the figure 3 illustrates an alternative design of the immersed part of the floating game device according to the figure 2 ;
  • the Figures 4 and 5 illustrate a variant of the design of the floating game device according to which the floating element is rectangular in shape;
  • the figures 6 , 7 and 8 illustrate another variant of the design of the floating game device in particular with regard to the implementation of the first and second flexible surfaces.

We see through Figures 1 to 7 that the floating game device 1, 101, 201, 301, 401 comprises in all cases an emergent portion 2, 102, 202, 302, 402 and a submerged portion 3, 103, 203, 303, 403 which makes it possible to constitute a volume improving the resistance in the water. This emerged part and this part immersed are separated by a floating element 4, 104, 204, 304, 404 which defines a flotation plane.

On constate que la partie émergée comporte une première structure 5, 105, 205, 305, 405 et une première surface souple 6, 106, 206, 306, 406. De même, la partie immergée comprend une seconde structure 7, 107, 207, 307, 407 et une seconde surface souple 8, 108, 208, 308, 408.It can be seen that the emergent part comprises a first structure 5, 105, 205, 305, 405 and a first flexible surface 6, 106, 206, 306, 406. Likewise, the immersed part comprises a second structure 7, 107, 207, 307, 407 and a second flexible surface 8, 108, 208, 308, 408.

We see on the figure 1 that the floating element 4 comprises a crescent shape. The first structure 5 and the second structure 7 are implemented by means of a single flexible hoop 9 closed on itself, that is to say that the first end 9a and the second end 9b of the flexible arch 9 meet and are fixed together by means of a fastener for example for fitting said first and second ends 9a, 9b. It can be seen that this arch is disposed inside a sleeve 11 and that this sleeve is fixed at the lateral ends 4a, 4b of the floating element 4. This attachment is for example made by sewing, welding, by collage or other. In addition, the first flexible surface 6 is made of a net one of whose edges 6a is fixed with the sheath 11 for example by sewing or welding. In addition, the second edge 6b of the net is fixed with the outer edge 4c of the floating element 4, for example by welding, sewing or gluing. Similarly, the second flexible surface 8 is made of a textile, for example fabric one of whose edges 8a is fixed to the sheath 11 and the other edge 8b is fixed with the outer edge 4c of the floating element 4.

The use of a single flexible arch 9 as shown in FIG. figure 1 has the advantage of being able to flex the first structure 5 with respect to the second structure 7, this flexible hoop providing a restoring force in a normal equilibrium position as shown in FIG. figure 1 according to which the first structure 5 and the second structure 7 constituted by means of the arch 9 are positioned naturally, perpendicularly with respect to the floating element 4 arranged in a flotation plane. Of course, one could envisage the implementation of this first structure 5 and of this second structure 7 by means of two independent hoops whose lateral ends would be arranged adjacently and fixed to the lateral ends 4a, 4b of the floating element 4. It could also be provided with return means, for example flexible tips or springs, in which would be nested the ends of the hoops, providing a restoring force for bringing said hoops back perpendicularly with respect to the floating element 4.

The floating game device 101 illustrated on the figure 2 has a design similar to that of the floating game device illustrated on the figure 1 with regard to the implementation of the first structure 105, the second structure 107, the first flexible surface 106 and the second flexible surface 108. Thus, the first structure 105 and the second structure 107 are implemented at means of a single single flexible arch 109 whose first end 109a and the second end 109b meet and are fixed together by means of a fastener for example for fitting said first and second ends 109a, 109b. Furthermore, this flexible arch is arranged in a sleeve 111 which is fixed vis-à-vis the lateral ends 104a, 104b of the floating element, this attachment can be performed by sewing, welding, gluing or other. However, according to this figure 2 , the floating game device 101 comprises a floating element 104 which has a shape of toric portion. In addition, the first flexible surface 106 has its first edge 106a fixed on the sleeve 111 and its second edge 106b fixed on the inner edge 104d of the floating element 104. Similarly, the second flexible surface 108 has its first edge 108a fixed on the sheath 111 and its second edge 108b fixed on the inner edge 104d of the floating element 104. There is also the presence of a third flexible surface 112 disposed in the flotation plane, this third flexible surface having its edge 112a fixed to the inner edge 104d of the floating element 104 and extending in the floating plane of the floating element 104. This third flexible surface is for example fabric.

On the design variant illustrated in figure 3 it is found that the floating game device 201 comprises a floating element 204 which has a O-shaped portion similar to the floating element 104 illustrated in FIG. figure 2 . On this figure 3 it is found that the first structure 205 and the second structure 207 are implemented by means of a single flexible arch which is curved forming an inverted U; the lateral end portions 209a, 209b of this flexible hoop 209 are disposed below the flotation element 204 and constitute two tubular portions 207a, 207b of the second structure 207. In addition, the central portion 209c of this hoop flexible hoop is disposed above the floating element 204 and constitutes the first structure 205. This flexible hoop 209 is disposed in a sleeve 211 which is fixed at its lateral sides with the lateral ends 204a, 204b of the floating element. 204. In addition, the first flexible surface 206 has a first edge 206a fixed on the sheath 211 and a second edge 206b fixed on the inner edge 204d of the floating element 204. The second flexible surface 208 is in the form of a band whose lateral ends 208a, 208b are fixed on the sleeve 211 at the level of the tubular portions 207a, 207b, while the upper edge 208c of this band is fixed on the inner edge 204d of the element 204. This arrangement of the strip makes it possible to constitute a volume offering resistance in water and providing the connection between the floating element 204 and the second structure 207. It is also possible to envisage the implementation of a third surface. flexible 212 whose edge 212a is fixed to the inner edge 204d of the floating element 204, this third flexible element 212 extending in the floating plane of the floating element 204.

On the design variant illustrated in Figures 4 and 5 , the floating game device comprises a floating element 304 of rectangular shape which has two lateral sides 304a, 304b and two longitudinal sides 304c, 304d. It can be seen that the first structure 305 comprises two upper lateral bars 305a, 305b and a transverse upper bar 305c connected to the two upper lateral bars 305a, 305b, the first structure 305 forming an inverted U. Similarly, the second structure 307 comprises two lateral lower bars 307a, 307b and a transverse lower bar 307c connected to the lower ends of the two lower side bars 305a, 305b, this second structure 307 forming a U.

We see on the figure 4 that the upper side bars 305a, 305b and the respective lower side bars 307a, 307b are formed by means of a single flexible bar attached at the lateral sides 304a, 304b of the floating member 304. The use of bars flexible side has the advantage of being able to bend the upper structure 305 with respect to the lower structure 307, the flexibility offering a restoring force which allows to bring said structures 305 and lower 307 perpendicularly perpendicular to the floating element 304 above and below it.

On peut également envisager la fixation de ce filet au niveau de la barre supérieure transversale 305c.It is noted that the first flexible surface 306 consists of a net which is fixed at the level of the upper lateral bars 305a, 305b. One can also consider the attachment of this net at the upper transverse bar 305c.

We see on Figures 4 and 5 that the second flexible surface 308 comprises a rectangular shape having two longitudinal sides 308a, 308b which are respectively fixed to the longitudinal sides 304c, 304d of the floating element 304. In addition, this second flexible surface 308 passes below the crossbar lower 307c of the second structure 307, which makes it possible to maintain in abutment the central portion 308c of this second flexible surface 308 against the transverse lower bar 307c, as illustrated in FIGS. Figures 4 and 5 and thereby tensioning said second flexible surface 308 which forms a pocket below the floating member 304 providing resistance in the water. This second flexible surface 308 is implemented by means of a net. However, it is possible to envisage other textiles, for example a fabric.

An alternative configuration of the second flexible surface 308 could however be envisaged, so that the latter defines a volume offering resistance in the water and providing the connection between the floating element 304 and the second structure 307. For that , the second flexible surface 308 could have a configuration similar to that illustrated in FIG. figure 3 , that is to say by arranging a strip of flexible material, for example a fabric, which would be stretched attached to at least a portion of the two lower side bars 307a, 307b, and with an inner or outer edge on the floating member 304, so as to define a volume.

The design variant of the floating game device 401 illustrated in FIGS. figures 6 , 7 and 8 has a configuration similar to that of the floating game device 101 illustrated in FIG. figure 2 , the essential difference relating to the implementation of the first flexible surface 406 and the second flexible surface 408. It can be seen from these Figures 6 to 8 that the first flexible surface 406 comprises a peripheral contour 406a having an outer edge 406b which is fixed on the inner edge 404d of the floating element 404 and which is fixed to a sleeve 411 in which is disposed a flexible bow to form the first structure 405 and the second structure 407, said sleeve being attached to the lateral ends 404a, 404b of the floating element 404. In addition, the first surface 406 comprises a net 406c which is disposed in the central portion, said net 406c having a peripheral edge 406d which is fixed with the inner edge 406e of the peripheral contour 406a, as illustrated in particular on the figure 6 .

There is also the presence of a third flexible surface 412, for example fabric, whose edge 412a is fixed on the inner edge 404d of the floating element 404.

We see on these Figures 6 to 8 the presence of two straps 413, 414 whose first ends 413a, 414a are fixed to the upper parts 411a and lower 411b of the sheath 411. The other two ends 413d, 414b are fixed relative to the floating element 404 at the its inner edge 404d as illustrated in particular on the figure 8 . Note the presence of fastening loops 415, 416 for fixing the ends 413b, 414b of the straps 413, 414 with the floating element 404. These fastening loops also adjust the length of the straps 413, 414. This particular for advantage, particularly with regard to the immersed part 403, of being able to exert a tension on the second structure 407 so as to bend the latter towards the rear, which makes it possible to reduce the height of the immersed part 403 and thus of install the floating game device 401 on a body of water with little background. We see on the figure 8 the presence of two attachment pieces 417a, 417b arranged on the outer edge 404c of the floating element 404a. These attachment pieces 417a, 417b make it possible to moor the floating game device 401, for example on the edge of a pool, or even to add additional weighting means of the weight type, in particular when the floating game device is used. on a heavily agitated body of water.

It can be seen that according to these different conceptions of the floating game device 1, 101, 201, 301, 401 illustrated in FIGS. Figures 1 to 8 the submerged portion 3, 103, 203, 303, 403 allows in all cases to form a volume, especially in the form of a pocket for increasing the resistance in water of said floating game device.

It is noted on these different designs that the floating element is implemented by means of a coil which is for example inflatable or consisting of a floating material on the water. This floating element 4, 104, 204, 304, 404 is further attached to the first and second structures as well as to the first and second flexible surfaces. It is of course conceivable to design variants of this floating element and to provide for example a flexible elongate element, so as to be deformed and to constitute for example a U-shape or a rectangular shape, said elongate flexible material being inserted into a sleeve that would be attached to said first and second structures and said first and second flexible surfaces.

One could also consider the implementation of this floating element in several parts, for example a first part fixed on one of the lateral sides of the first and the second structures and a second floating element fixed on the other of the lateral sides first and second structures and a third floating element disposed at the rear of the floating game device and attached to the first and second flexible surfaces. It is understood that in this case, the floating element is likely to deform, which may tend to separate the first structure and the second structure. In this design case, provision is made for a stiffening system arranged between the lateral ends of the first structure and the second structure, or even between the floating elements, for example rigid straps or semi-rigid rods, which avoids the spacing of said lateral sides of the first and second structures and floating elements.

Variations in the design of the floating game device can also be envisaged, in the context of the claims, according to which the structures and the flexible surfaces on the emergent part and on the immersed part are configured to constitute two different sets so that the inversion floating game device allows to play one or the other of the two games. For example, based on a configuration of the floating game device similar to those implemented on the Figures 1, 2 , 3 or 6 as to the floating element, to the first and second structures and to the first flexible surface, it may be envisaged that the second flexible surface is fixed only to the second structure and extends in this case in the plane of said first and second structures. Thus, the emergent part constitutes a cage or a goal and the immersed part constitutes a net of volleyball.

In the examples of embodiment illustrated in Figures 1 to 8 and described above, that the first 5, 105, 205, 305, 405 and second 7, 107, 207, 307, 407 structures are arranged in a plane more or less perpendicular to the floating element 4, 104, 204, 304, 404 disposed in the flotation plane. However, there could be variants of design of the floating game device in which the first and second structures would be arranged in a plane forming an angle with the plane of flotation other than 90 ° and preferably between 30 ° and 150 °. floating game device in which the first and second structures would be arranged in a plane forming an angle with the plane of flotation other than 90 ° and preferably between 30 ° and 150 °.
