Das Wort "Release" bedeutet in diesem Zusammenhang, dass ein Träger so an seiner Oberfläche gestaltet bzw. präpariert ist, dass er unter bestimmten Bedingungen (insbesondere Temperaturen) aufgetragene Schichten an ein anderes Substrat abgibt, wobei das andere Substrat in der Regel ein zu beschichtendes oder zu dekorierendes Werkstück, zum Beispiel ein Profil für ein Fenster oder dergleichen, ist. Eine Folie F gemäß
Auf einer Trägerschicht PE aus insbesondere Polyethylen ist eine Kleberschicht TPU aus insbesondere thermoplastischem Polyurethan aufgetragen.
