Claims (12)

  1. Tumble dryer (1) having a housing (2) and a processing chamber for receiving items to be dried, and having a means for condensing moisture out of the items to be dried, which means generates a process air flow, in the flow channel (11) of which a filter insert (10) is arranged, said filter insert (10) being accessible from the outside via an inspection flap (9) arranged in the front wall (8) of the housing (2), and said filter insert (10) having, for positive insertion in the flow channel (11), sleeve elements (12) which can be placed on peg elements (13) arranged in the flow channel (11), in the inserted state, and a monitoring element being provided for correct assembly of the filter insert (10), characterised in that as the monitoring element (14) for correct assembly, at least one of the peg elements (13) is configured as a blocking means which prevents the inspection flap (9) from closing when the filter insert (10) is not in the flow channel (11).
  2. Tumble dryer according to claim 1, characterised in that the blocking means consists of a telescopic pin (15) arranged in the peg element (13).
  3. Tumble dryer according to claim 2, characterised in that the pin (15) is arranged in the peg element (13) such that it can be displaced against the effect of a spring (16).
  4. Tumble dryer according to claim 3, characterised in that the pin (15) cooperates with a locking element (17).
  5. Tumble dryer according to claim 4, characterised in that the locking element (17) locks the pin (15) in the telescoped state.
  6. Tumble dryer according to claim 5, characterised in that the locking element (17) can be unlocked by attaching the sleeve element (12) arranged on the filter insert (10).
  7. Tumble dryer according to claim 6, characterised in that the locking element (17) comprises a cam element arranged such that it can move transversely to the displacement direction of the pin (15).
  8. Tumble dryer according to claim 7, characterised in that the cam element can be brought into the unlocked position against the effect of gravity.
  9. Tumble dryer according to claim 4, characterised in that the locking element comprises a leaf spring element (19) which is fastened as a resilient strip (20) to the peg element (13) in the manner of a rocker.
  10. Tumble dryer according to claim 9, characterised in that the resilient strip (20) has in its central extension region an outwardly directed moulding (21).
  11. Tumble dryer according to claim 10, characterised in that the resilient strip (20) has at its free end a hook region (22) which is directed towards the displaceable pin (15) and which, in the locked state, engages in a groove (23) formed in the pin (15).
  12. Tumble dryer according to claim 11, characterised in that by attaching the sleeve element (12) arranged on the filter insert (10), as a result of pressing in the moulding (21), the hook region (22) formed integrally with the free end of the resilient strip (20) can be raised for unlocking purposes.
