Der Wäschetrockner 1, gemäß der Figur 1, ist mit einer in einem Gehäuse 2 drehbar nicht näher dargestellten Trommel ausgestattet, wobei im Frontbereich eine Tür 3 vorgesehen ist, die die Beschickungsöffnung zur Trommel verschließt. Weiter befindet sich in dem Gehäuse 2 ein Gebläse und eine Heizeinrichtung zur Erzeugung eines Prozessluftstromes, der über einen Wärmetauscher strömt. Dabei befindet sich in der Frontwand 4 des Gehäuses 2 eine Revisionsklappe 5, die den Zugang zu einem Filtereinsatz 6 im Strömungskanal 17 ermöglicht, so wie es in der Figur 1 in der perspektivischen und explosionsartigen Darstellung gezeigt wird. Der Filtereinsatz 6 besteht hierbei aus einem aus wenigstens zwei Filterschichten 7 und 8 gebildeten Tiefenfilterblock 9. Wie insbesondere aus den Figuren 2, 3 und 4 zu erkennen ist, sind die Filterschichten 7 und 8 miteinander verklebt. Angedeutet in der Figur 3 weist die Verklebung der Filterschichten 7 und 8 zur unlösbaren Verbindung der Schichten 7 und 8 in der Fläche eine Punktklebung 10 auf. Somit wird gewährleistet, dass insbesondere die zweite Filterschicht 8 hier die Stabilität für den Tiefenfilterblock 9 bereitstellt, und dies im Besonderen für die im Strömungskanal 17 vorgeschaltete erste Filterschicht 7. Claims (11)

  1. Laundry treatment appliance, in particular a tumble dryer (1), comprising a drum mounted rotatably in a housing (2), a loading opening which can be closed by a door (3), a fan, and a heating device for generating a process air stream that flows via a heat exchanger, connected upstream of which in the flow channel (17) is a filter insert (6) that is accessible from outside via an inspection flap (5) arranged in the front wall (4) of the housing (2),
    characterised in that
    the filter insert (6) consists of a frameless depth filter block (9) formed of at least two filter layers (7, 8) which have been bonded to one another.
  2. Laundry treatment appliance, in particular a tumble dryer, according to claim 1,
    characterised in that
    the bonding of the filter layers (7, 8) comprises a spot bonding (10) for permanently connecting the surfaces of the layers.
  3. Laundry treatment appliance, in particular a tumble dryer, according to claim 2,

    the bonding in the edge portion (11) comprises application of an adhesive bead around the periphery.

    the first filter layer (7) comprises a filter mat having a fine filter structure.

    the first filter layer (7) preferably comprises a filter structure in the range of from 50 to 80 ppi.
  6. Laundry treatment appliance, in particular a tumble dryer, according to claim 1,

    the second filter layer (8) has a block-like filter having a coarser filter structure.
  7. Laundry treatment appliance, in particular a tumble dryer, according to claim 6,
    characterised in that
    the second filter layer (8) preferably comprises a filter structure in the range of from 20 to 50 ppi.
  8. Laundry treatment appliance, in particular a tumble dryer, according to claim 7,
    characterised in that
    a recess in the form of a groove (12) is provided for a magnet in the edge portion (11) of the block-like filter, preferably in the second filter layer (8), for accurately detecting installation.
  9. Laundry treatment appliance, in particular a tumble dryer, according to claim 1,
    characterised in that
    the depth filter block (9) can be inserted as a separate insert into the flow channel in a self-sealing manner.
  10. Laundry treatment appliance, in particular a tumble dryer, according to claim 9,
    characterised in that
    the depth filter block (9) is box-shaped, a grip tab or positioning means formed as a handle being arranged on the front of said depth filter block.
  11. Laundry treatment appliance, in particular a tumble dryer, according to claim 10,
    characterised in that
    the handle on the depth filter block (9) is formed as a stirrup-shaped handle (13) which is fixed to the rear side of the filter mat in the depth filter block (9).
