Claims (1)

  1. System (1) for attaching strips of wood (2) on support beams (3) for building a terrace, this system comprising two connectors as matching securing plates (4, 5) that comprise identical connection means (7, 8) which are interposed by screwing (6) between two successive strips (2, 2a) and a corresponding beam (3) extending perpendicularly below these, the connection means (7, 8) having a flat end tab (7, 8) and extending by means of a rear base (9, 10) whose thickness is twice that of the tab (7, 8), said connectors (4, 5) being arranged top-to-tail between two strips (2) such that one of them (4), being attached to a strip (2) by its base (9) then to the beam (3) by its tab (7), creates a space (e) between the latter (7) and the strip (2), this space having a height (h) which permits insertion of the tab (8) of identical height (h1) of the other connector (5), previously attached to an adjacent strip (2a), the two connectors (4, 5) being made of a plastic material and being integrally connected to one another via at least one median contact region (a) so as to form a double connector (4, 5), the connection means (7, 8) of one being rotated through 180° with respect to those of the other, the two connected connectors (4, 5) being of suitable length to cover the width of a strip (2), each one of the projecting ends (7a) of the tabs (7) being able to engage top-to-tail with the projecting end (8a) of the tab (8), offset by a height (h2), of a double connector (4, 5) of a successive strip (2a), characterized in that the double connector (4, 5) is formed by the intermediary of two connecting arms (11, 12) that project from their respective base (9, 10) and extend in complementary fashion on either side of the longitudinal axis (XX'), in opposite directions (D1, D2), said arms (11, 12) being longitudinally offset by a value (d) allowing the connector (4, 5) of length (L) to be adapted to a strip (2) of maximum predetermined width (I), and being connected to one another by the median contact zone (a) which is weak so that these can be separated, such that the length (L) of the double connector (4, 5) can be adjusted depending on the width of the strip (2) that is to be laid, and in that the connecting arms (11, 12) of the double connector (4, 5) comprise a second weak zone (b) created transversely between each of these (11, 12) and the base (9, 10) of each of the parts (4, 5) of the double connector, so as to be able to entirely eliminate said arms (11, 12) and obtain distinct individual connectors in order to reduce, as desired, the length (L) of the assembly to adapt to strips of minimum predetermined width (I).
