Abstract

The furniture e.g. stool (1), has legs (4), seat surfaces, back rest and/or arm rest connected with a base body (2) in an exchangeable manner via a detachable fixing unit or clamping connector. Positioning elements i.e. positioning pins, are utilized for securing alignment of the legs, seat surfaces, back rest and/or arm rest relative to the base body. Free ends of the legs comprise a central borehole, where a threaded sleeve is arranged in the central borehole in an immovable manner and comprises an inner thread.

Description

The invention relates to furniture and in particular a table or a chair, such as a chair.

Seating furniture and tables are functional items that in most cases have to meet visual requirements. According to the different tastes, there are an almost unlimited number of different designs of seating and tables, which differ in particular also with regard to their respective visual appearance.

A problem with known furniture is that their visual appearance usually can not be changed significantly. If the furniture no longer pleases the owner, they are therefore often simply replaced.

Based on this prior art, the invention was based on the object to provide a piece of furniture that can be changed in terms of its visual appearance in a simple manner.

This object is solved by the subject matters of the independent claims. Advantageous embodiments of the furniture according to the invention are the subject of the dependent claims and will become apparent from the following description of the invention.

The invention is based on the idea of making a piece of furniture, in particular a chair or a table, adaptable to changing conditions by making parts thereof exchangeable in a simple manner and by exchanging parts having a different visual appearance, which are mounted instead of the original parts can. Especially when it comes to visually striking emerging in appearance parts of the furniture, can be significantly changed in this way by replacing relatively small parts of the furniture whose overall appearance optically.

A generic furniture with one or more legs, (at least) a seat, (at least) a backrest and / or one or more armrests is therefore according to the invention characterized in that at least parts of the leg (s), the seat, the backrest and / or the armrest (s) are connected via releasable fastening means with a body of the furniture.

An inventive furniture system with (at least) a furniture according to the invention has at least two replaceable parts ("replacement parts") for alternative attachment to the main body of the furniture, for which purpose the two replacement parts functionally identical fastening means (or parts thereof), alternatively at the same location to be connectable to the main body of the furniture. An "alternative attachment" therefore means that the two replacement parts are alternatively provided for attachment to the same location of the body and thus not just to be attached to this at the same time.

Preferably, the furniture may be a chair, in particular a chair, a stool, an armchair or a sofa, wherein (at least) one end part of at least one leg, (at least) one end part of at least one chair cheek, (at least) a seat surface or a part thereof, (at least) a backrest or a part thereof and / or at least one armrest or a part thereof are interchangeable.

If the furniture is a table (eg a dining, couch or side table, etc.), it is preferably provided that (at least) one end part of at least one leg is exchangeable according to the invention.

The attachment of the replaceable parts to the base body may preferably be effected by means of (in each case) a threaded connection. Alternatively, it is also possible to advantageously use (force-locking) clamping connections.

To facilitate the exchange of particular non-rotationally symmetrical exchange cells can be provided that they are positioned on preferably positively acting positioning elements relative to the base body. In this case, the positive positioning elements are preferably designed and arranged such that they leave an alignment of the exchangeable parts with the base body only in one of the intended orientations.

The Fig. 1 to 7 show various embodiments of furniture according to the invention in which at least parts of the legs, the seats, the chair cheeks and / or backrests are easily replaceable by means of releasable fastening means to replace them with replacement parts with a different design, whereby the overall appearance of each piece of furniture is changed. This allows the owner of the furniture, this easily and inexpensively to a changing taste and / or different occasions, for example seasonal festivities (eg Christmas, Easter). This possibility can be particularly interesting for public buildings, such as hotels, to adapt the furniture used there for various occasions (eg weddings, congresses, Easter or Christmas events, etc.).

In the furniture according to the Fig. 1 and 2 it is a chair 1, which has a base body 2, are secured to the replaceable parts 3 by means of releasable fastening means. In the example shown specifically, parts (eg, the lower third) of two of the four chair legs 4 and the upper, free ends of the backrest struts 5 (which form part of the respective chair cheek) are interchangeable.

The releasable attachment means, via which the replaceable parts 3 are connected to the main body 2 of the chair 1, are in the Fig. 2 illustrated by the example of one of the chair legs 4. The free end of the chair legs each comprise a central bore in which a threaded sleeve 6 (immovable) is arranged, which has an internal thread. In this threaded sleeve 6, a threaded bolt 7 is screwed with an external thread. This threaded bolt 7 extends through a likewise central (through) bore 8 of the exchangeable leg part 9, wherein the threaded bolt 8 at the lower, the connection point opposite end has a screw head 10 with key surfaces (in the present case in the form of a conventional hexagon screw head), the is arranged recessed in a diameter-enlarged portion of the bore 8 of the replaceable leg part 9. At these key surfaces, a tool, such as a conventional Allen key attack, to screw by the exercise of a moment the threaded bolt 7 in the threaded sleeve 6. In this case, the exchangeable leg part 9 is clamped between the chair leg 4 and the screw head 10. The screw head can also be designed as an external hexagon.

The replaceable leg part 9 also has three positioning pins 11, which protrude from the contact surface over which this rests against the free end of the chair leg 4. The three positioning pins are arranged in the region of three corners of the square cross section of the exchangeable leg part 9 and engage in a proper alignment of the exchangeable leg part 9 to the chair leg 4 in corresponding (blind) holes 12 of the chair leg 4. The positioning pins 11 in conjunction with the holes 12th thus ensuring a screwing of the exchangeable leg part 9 with the chair leg 4 in only one, the intended relative orientation.

After the replaceable leg part 9 has been screwed to the chair leg 4, a protective cap 13 can be applied to the free (lower) end of the exchangeable leg part 9, which covers the opening of the bore 8 accommodating the threaded bolt 7 or the screw head 10. The protective cap 13 may preferably be formed of a relatively soft material (in particular plastic), whereby a floor covering is protected when moving the chair 1.

The Fig. 3 shows an embodiment of a chair 1 according to the invention, in which also two of the four chair legs 4 and the free ends of the backrest struts have 5 replaceable parts 3. In contrast to the embodiment according to the Fig. 1 and 2 In this case, an attachment of the replaceable parts 3 is provided in each case via a (non-positive) clamping connection. Accordingly, the exchangeable parts 3 have a circular cross-section opening (other cross-sections are also possible), in which a corresponding connector of the chair legs 4 and the backrest struts 5 is inserted with a circular cross-section and fixed there non-positively. To form the frictional fixation can be provided that the openings in the interchangeable parts 3 and / or the fittings of the two chair legs 4 and the backrest struts 5 have a non-constant diameter profile (in the direction of the longitudinal axis) and in particular may be conical. In this case, however, it is provided that the interchangeable parts 3 each have a fixed or immovably integrated threaded bolt 7 which is screwed into a threaded sleeve, which is centrally (relative to the base) in the respective chair leg 4 or in the respective backrest strut 5 is.
