Description

The present invention is directed to an upholstered furniture combination according to the preamble of the main claim. In such upholstered furniture combinations, a first base frame, which has a longitudinal extension, is used with at least a first side rest, a first backrest and a first seat part, which can be fixed to the base frame. Furthermore, a second base frame is also used, which has a longitudinal extension and at least a second side rest, a second backrest and a second seat part, which can be fixed to the base frame. Such upholstered furniture combinations can be set up on the base frame as a corner upholstered furniture combination.

Upholstered furniture combinations are known from the prior art, which can also be set up as a corner upholstered furniture combination. Typically, such upholstered furniture combinations are either left Over corner upholstered furniture combination or designed as a right over corner upholstered furniture combination so that they can be optimally integrated into either a left corner of a room or a right corner of a room. For this purpose, it is necessary to design and build the upholstered furniture combination individually for the left corner or the right corner. Especially if an ottoman seat part is to be used on the left or right side of the upholstered furniture combination, a simple change between a left corner upholstered furniture combination to a right corner upholstered furniture combination is not possible, because with the ottoman seat part a wide side rest is integrated with the base frame. This means that this base frame cannot be used in any other way in a corner upholstered furniture combination.

However, today's mobility of the population also requires moving more frequently, which also involves changing living spaces, so the furniture should also be adaptable to the respective living situation.

An upholstered furniture combination is from the US2012/256464A1 known.

The object of the present invention is to at least partially overcome the disadvantages mentioned in the prior art. In particular, it is an object of the present invention to create an upholstered furniture combination that can be easily adapted to different living space conditions. It is particularly advantageous if the upholstered furniture combination can be adapted to the different corner areas in the living room.

The present task is solved by an upholstered furniture combination with the features of the main claim. Further features and details of the invention emerge from the respective subclaims, the description and the drawings.

The upholstered furniture combination according to the invention has a first base frame with a longitudinal extension and a second base frame, also with a longitudinal extension, which are arranged at an angle to one another, in particular at right angles to one another. In addition, the first base frame has at least a first siderest, a first backrest and a first seat part, which can be fixed to the base frame. The second base frame also has at least a second siderest, a second backrest and a second seat part. In order to increase the sitting and lying comfort of the upholstered furniture combination, the second base frame can be designed as an ottoman seat part. In order to make the first side rest removable from the first base frame, it can be fastened to a first head end of the first base frame using a first connecting means. Furthermore, the second base frame can be fastened to a second head end of the first base frame with a second connecting means. The first side rest and the second base frame are thus arranged at the two head ends of the first base frame. According to the invention, it is now provided that the first side rest is interchangeable with the second base frame, so that the first side rest can also be fastened to the second head end of the first base frame and the second base frame to the first head end of the first base frame. In other words, the first side rest can be attached to the second base frame at the respective other head end of the first base frame. This configuration makes it possible to design the upholstered furniture combination according to the invention in a simple manner both as a left corner upholstered furniture combination and as a right corner upholstered furniture combination. Thus, the first base frame itself always remains the same, only the arrangement of the first side rest can be changed or exchanged with the arrangement of the second base frame at the head end of the first base frame.

For this purpose, it is expediently provided that the first connecting means for attaching the first side rest to the first head end of the first base frame is designed to function in the same way as the second connecting means for attaching the second base frame to the second head end of the first base frame in order to exchange the first side rest with the second base frame on the first base frame to make it easier. In other words, the first connecting means is designed to be the same as the second connecting means so that a simple exchange of the first side rest with the second base frame via the connecting means is possible. Ideally, the connecting means themselves are designed as hook elements, screw elements or locking elements in order to be able to carry out the exchange particularly easily. Preferably, the redesign of the corner upholstered furniture combination (from left to right or vice versa) can be carried out without tools.

Furthermore, it can be provided within the scope of the invention that at least the backrest or the first seat part is permanently arranged on the first base frame. By firmly arranging the backrest and/or the first seat part on the base frame, a particularly stable design of the upholstered furniture combination can be achieved. In addition, the construction of such an upholstered furniture combination should also be made easier. It is also conceivable that the first backrest and/or the first seat part forms an integral part of the first base frame. In other words, the first backrest and/or the first seat part cannot be dismantled from the first base frame without being destroyed.

It is also conceivable that the second side rest is designed to be inseparable from the second base frame in order to form the already mentioned ottoman seat part. It is also conceivable that the second side rest forms an integral part of the second base frame in order to increase the stability of the second base frame. In this case, the second side rest can only be detached from the first base frame by destroying it.

In order to further increase the possible uses of the upholstered furniture combination according to the invention, it can be provided that a pull-out box (or also called a pull-out trolley) is present on the first base frame, which is arranged under the first seat part in the retracted state. Blankets, pillows or the like can be stored in this pull-out box. In this case, the pull-out box is designed as a drawer with additional storage space.

It is also conceivable that an extension part (also called raising part), which is height-adjustable, is provided in the pull-out box in order to be able to form a level with the first seat part when the pull-out box is in the extended state. By using the extension part, the upholstered furniture combination according to the invention can be converted into a seat-lounger combination.

It can also be provided that when the pull-out box is extended, a lounger-upholstered furniture combination with a corresponding lying surface is formed on the seat part and the extension part. Ideally, the lying surface formed is designed to be at the same level in order to enable optimal lying comfort. In addition, a topper can be used on this lying surface to cover the gaps between the seat parts and bridged with the existing extension parts. In the extended state, the extension part can be raised to the same height as the seat parts of the two base frames in order to form the uniform lying surface.

Furthermore, it is conceivable that when the pull-out box is retracted or even if the pull-out box is missing, a corner upholstered furniture combination with corresponding seating surfaces is formed on the seat parts, which is either designed on the left or right side. Overall, a very variable upholstered furniture combination can be achieved that can be adapted to the respective living spaces without much effort and without the use of tools.

According to the invention it is provided that the second seat part and the second backrest are removable on the second base frame. This configuration makes it possible for the ottoman seat part to be arranged on both sides, meaning rotated by 180° (along the longitudinal axis L2), on the first base frame. It can therefore also be provided that the second seat part can be fastened to the second base frame with a holding means and/or that the second backrest can also be fastened to the second base frame with a fixing means. By using the holding means and/or fixing means, a simple conversion of the second base frame with the second seat part and the second backrest is possible. It is conceivable here that the holding means and/or fixing means are designed at least as a hook element, screw element or latching element. A particularly simple and stable design provides a screw element, in which screws or threaded rods then extend from an underside of the second seat part, which correspond to holes in the second base frame and can be screwed to the second base frame from below with nuts, ideally as wing nuts, without tools. The fixing means for fastening the second backrest can also be designed as screws or threaded rods, which can be fastened to the second seat part or the second base frame via threaded nuts, ideally wing screws. A kinematic reversal of the screw and nut arrangement is also conceivable.

As already mentioned previously, the second backrest can either be fastened to the second seat part via fixing means or the second backrest is firmly connected to the second seat part. This combination part of the second seat part and second The backrest can be attached to the second base frame using the holding means already mentioned. The advantage of the combination part is the particularly stable structure. However, the necessary change of direction of the second seat part to the second base frame can be made more difficult because the combination part is correspondingly heavier in weight than two individual parts (second seat part and second backrest structurally separated). This change of direction of the second seat part on the second base frame is necessary in order to be able to arrange the ottoman seat part on the left and right sides of the first base frame.

According to the invention it is provided that the second seat part (with or without the second backrest) can be rotatably attached to the second base frame at least from a first position by approximately 180° into a second position. Ideally, the existing holding devices can be used for both positions. This makes it possible to easily change the second seat part on the second base frame, in particular without tools.

As has already been stated previously, the second seat part and the second backrest can be permanently attached to one another and preferably form a monolithic component. This monolithic component was previously mentioned as a combination part, which is particularly stable.

In order to improve the stability of the second base frame, the second side rest can form a support edge for the second seat part. Here, the second backrest is ideally designed to be inseparable from the second base frame. This means that the second seat part can be embedded in a recess in the second base frame, which is formed by the supporting edge of the second side rest. Preferably, the second side rest can protrude laterally beyond the second seat part, whereby on the one hand the sitting/lounging comfort can be increased and on the other hand the stability (in particular of the ottoman seat part) is significantly improved. Ideally, the second side rest extends over the entire longitudinal extent of the second base frame, so that the second seat part can rest against the mentioned support edge over its entire length. Due to this construction, not all of the required holding forces that act on the second seat part have to come from the holding means Connection to the second base frame are transmitted, since a large part of the forces can also act on the second base frame via the support edge.

In order to further improve the comfort of the (corner) upholstered furniture combination according to the invention, it can be provided that at least the first or second backrest is at least partially adjustable in its orientation. This means that the existing backrests can be adjusted to the user's desired sitting or lying position. Furthermore, it is conceivable that at least the first or second backrest is at least partially provided with padding, which can also improve the comfort for the user. It is also possible for at least the first or second side rest to be at least partially provided with padding. Ideally, the upholstery of the backrests is designed identically to the upholstery of the side rests, which means that, on the one hand, a pleasant impression of the upholstered furniture combination can be achieved and, on the other hand, increased comfort is possible.

In order to be able to vary the seat height of the upholstered furniture combination, it can be provided that foot elements are provided at least on the first or second base frame in order to adjustably support the upholstered furniture combination on the floor. If height adjustment is not desired, simple sliding elements can be used instead of the foot elements.

As can already be seen from the invention described above, the upholstered furniture combination can easily be converted from a left-hand corner upholstered furniture combination into a right-hand corner upholstered furniture combination. Of course, a reverse conversion of the corresponding corner upholstered furniture combination is also conceivable. The corresponding (tool-free) conversion, which can be carried out particularly easily - even by a layperson - is explained in detail in the following description of the figures.

Furthermore, it should be mentioned that the present invention is also directed to the described conversion process of the upholstered furniture combination according to the invention.

In the explanation above, the invention was described using various examples. Of course, individual features of the invention can, if: technically sensible, can be freely combined with one another without departing from the scope of the present invention.

According to the invention, the features from the description and the claims can be essential for the invention individually or in conceivable combinations. Further measures improving the invention are shown in more detail below together with the description of the preferred exemplary embodiments in various possible uses of the invention with reference to the figures:

In the Figures 1 to 6 an upholstered furniture combination 10 according to the invention is shown, which can be converted from a right-hand corner upholstered furniture combination 10 into a left-hand corner upholstered furniture combination 10 (and vice versa). For this purpose, the upholstered furniture combination 10 has at least a first base frame 20 and a second base frame 40, which are arranged transversely to one another, preferably at a 90 ° angle to one another. The first base frame 20 has a longitudinal extension L1, just as the second base frame 40 has the longitudinal extension L2 (see Fig. Figure 1 or Figure 6 ). A first seat part 21 and a first backrest 23 are expediently fixedly arranged on the first base frame 20, which ideally form an integral part of the first base frame 20. Furthermore, a pull-out box 20.1 can be arranged on the first base frame 20, which is essentially covered by the first seat part 21 in the retracted state S (see Fig. Figure 1 ). So that the upholstered furniture combination 10 is designed to be convertible, a first side rest 22 on the first head end 20.3 (first replacement side 20.3) can be attached to the first base frame 20 via connecting means 13. At the second head end 20.4 (second replacement side 20.4) of the first base frame 20, the second base frame 40 can also be fastened via connecting means 13.

In the Figures 1 to 3 the first side rest 22 is arranged on the left side at the first head end 20.3 of the first base frame 20 via connecting means 13. On the other hand, the second base frame 40 is attached to the second head end 20.4 of the first base frame 20 via connecting means 13. In order to simplify the exchange of the first side rest 22 with the second base frame 40 on the first base frame 20, the respective connecting means 13 are preferably designed to be identical. So that the second backrest 43 is correctly arranged on the first base frame 20 after the second base frame 40 has been replaced, the second seat part 41 and the second backrest 43 are interchangeably arranged on the second base frame 40 via holding means 14 (see below Fig. 9 ). Now that the second base frame 40 is attached from the head end 20.4 to the other head end 20.3 of the first base frame 20, the second seat part 41 and the second backrest 43 must be rotated on the second base frame 40 (by 180 °), as in Figure 4 indicated by the rotating arrow. After the second base frame 40 has also been completely converted and is attached to the first base frame 20, the right-hand over-corner upholstered furniture combination 10 is the left-hand over-corner upholstered furniture combination 10, as in Figure 5 depicted, created.

In the Figures 11a and 11b the fixing means 15 for connecting the second backrest 43 to the second seat part 41 are shown in more detail. These can consist of a screw 17 or screw rod 17 and a nut 18 that interacts with it. The screws 17 can expediently be fastened to the second seat part 41, which, when fastened to the second backrest 43, interact mechanically with the wing nuts 18 shown in order to form a secure connection between the two components 41 and 43. Washers 19 can also be used for the screw connection in order to improve the mechanical hold of the connection.

In the Figures 9a and 9b the holding means 14, which serve to establish a secure connection between the second base frame 40 and the second seat part 41, are shown in detail. Here too, the holding means 14 can consist of screws or screw rods 17, which interact mechanically with corresponding nuts or wing nuts 18 to ensure a secure connection between the second Base frame 40 and the second seat part 41 to be produced. In addition, washers 19 can be used both in the holding means 14 and in the fixing means 15.

Claims (14)

1. Upholstered furniture combination (10) with

   a first base frame (20), which has a longitudinal extension (L1) and has at least a first side rest (22), a first back rest (23) and a first seat part (21), which can be fixed to the base frame (20), and

   a second base frame (40) having a longitudinal extension (L2) and comprising at least a second side rest (42), a second removable back rest (43) and a second removable seat part (41) fixable to the base frame (40),

   wherein the two base frames (20, 40) are arranged with their longitudinal extensions (L1, L2) transverse to each other, and

   the first side rest (22) is attachable to a first head end (20.3) of the first base frame (20) by a first connecting means (13), and

   the second base frame (40) is attachable to a second head end (20.4) of the first base frame (20) by a second connecting means (13),

   wherein

   the first side rest (22) is interchangeable with the second base frame (40),

   so that the first side rest (22) can also be fastened to the second head end (20.4) of the first base frame (20) and the second base frame (40) can be fastened to the first head end (20.3) of the first base frame (20), wherein the second seat part (41) with or without the second back rest (43) can be fastened to the second base frame (40) so as to be rotatable at least from a first position through 180° into a second position.

   and/or in that a pull-out box (20.1) is present on the first base frame (20) and is arranged under the first seat part (21) in the retracted state (S),

   wherein, in particular, an extension part (20.2) is provided in the pull-out box (20.1) in a height-adjustable manner in order to be able to form a plane in the extended state (L) with the first seat part (21).
3. Upholstered furniture combination (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that
   the first connecting means (13) for fastening the first side rest (22) to the first head end (20.3) of the first base frame (20) is designed to function in the same way as the second connecting means (13) for fastening the second base frame (40) to the second head end (20.4) of the first base frame (20) in order to facilitate an exchange of the first side rest (22) with the second base frame (40) on the first base frame (20).

   the second seat part (41) and the second back rest (43) can be removed from the second base frame (40), and the second seat part (41) can be fastened to the second base frame (40) by a retaining means (14), and/or

   the second back rest (43) can be fixed to the second base frame (40) by a fixing means (15).
5. Upholstered furniture combination (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that

   the second side rest (42) is designed to be non-detachable from the second base frame (40), and/or

   wherein the second side rest (42) forms an integral part of the second base frame (40), and/or

   the second base frame (40) forms an ottoman seat part at least with the second seat part (41) and the second side rest (42),

   and/or in that the second side rest (42) forms a supporting edge for the second seat part (41), and preferably the second side rest (42) projects laterally beyond the second seat part (41).
6. Upholstered furniture combination (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that

   the second seat part (41) and the second back rest (43) are non-detachably fastened to one another and preferably form a monolithic component (44),

   and/or in that the second seat part (41) and the second back rest (43) can be fastened to one another by fixing means (15), and/or

   in that the second seat part (41) can be fastened to the second base frame (40) by a retaining means (14).

   the first and/or second connecting means (13) are designed at least as a hook element, screw element or latching element.

   at least the first or second back rest (23, 43) is at least partially adjustable in its orientation, and/or

   at least the first or second back rest (23, 43) is at least partially provided with a padding (24, 44).

    at least the first or second side rest (22, 42) is at least partially provided with a padding (24, 44).

    foot elements (12) are provided at least on the first or second base frame (20, 40) in order to support the upholstered furniture combination (10) on the floor.
