Description

The invention relates to a shower wall with a sliding door according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

In known shower walls made of mineral glass, the attachment of the sliding door or the glass plate, which forms the sliding door, to the drives by means of screws, which are passed through holes in the glass plate. The mounting of holes in the glass plates can only be done in uncured state, ie each sliding door must be done with the necessary holes for mounting the drives of the handles, etc. before curing. On the one hand, this leads to a more complex production process and thus higher costs and, in addition, to a higher risk of breakage, since tensions arise in the glass with every bore. From the DE 29 00 001 is a corner connector for frame profiles for shower cubicles with two mounting areas known. The corner connector engages with protrusions over the adjacent profile rails. Tolerance deviations of the saw cut of these rails are thus covered. In this way, a better visual effect is to be achieved.

7386WOEP - 18.11.2013An object of the invention is to provide the sealing of the sliding door relative to the fixed wall as well as opposite to a right angle extending second sliding door or against a shower room wall, which allows optimal functionality and ease of installation and meets aesthetically highest requirements. 7386WOEP - 18.11.2013

Another object of the invention is to make the installation of the upper and possibly also lower guide for the sliding door in the simplest way. Another object of the invention is to allow the lower edge of the sliding door without a continuous guide rail.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a shower screen with a sliding door in such a way that no operations other than hardening must be made on the sliding door after it has been cut to the desired size.

These objects are achieved by a shower wall according to the features of patent claim 1.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims.

According to the invention, not only the solid walls, but also the sliding doors without holes, recesses or other mechanical processing steps can be produced and even cut to standard / standard sizes and hardened glass plates can be stored. The mounting of the drives and the handles can be done at any time on site. This allows less specialized companies, such as carpentry, to sell and install shower screens. The simple construction of the upper and the lower guide makes it possible to install shower walls in the bathroom or shower room in a short time with little effort. The rails are designed so that they can be cut to existing machines and that the fit can be made on the building without the aid of special tools.

The seals between the movable and immovable parts and the frontal seals between two abutting sliding doors or their conclusion to the wall can be glued in a simple manner to the end faces of the sliding glass plates forming. The fact that the thickness of which is formed smaller than or equal to the thickness of the glass, the glass plates can be completely removed with a rubber wiper drops and there are no water, soap or lime residues between the sealing profiles and the glass plate back.
The selective floor guide for the sliding door can be easily opened, so that the sliding door hanging on the drive can be slightly tilted, so that access to the always inaccessible in each position of the sliding door area is possible. This also makes the installation of the sliding door very easy.

In FIG. 1 is a sliding door assembly of a arranged in a room corner shower visible. The shower wall assembly 5 constructed from two fixed walls 1 and two sliding doors 3 comprises an upper guide 7, which comprises two rails 9 which meet at right angles in a corner 11. If the two rails 9 are not attached directly to the ceiling of the shower room, they can be connected to increase the stability with a rod-shaped suspension 13 in the corner with the ceiling of the room. The existing of glass plates hard walls 1 and 3 sliding doors can be arranged on the bottom 15 of the room above a bottom rail 17. The hard walls 1 be waterproof connected to the bottom rail 17; the sliding doors 3 may be guided in the bottom rail 17 or they are longitudinally guided only by a punctual bottom guide 19, which is located behind the fixed wall 1. As an alternative to a bottom rail 17, it is possible to park the hard walls 1 directly on the floor 15 and seal them with a suitable sealing compound. The sliding door 3 is guided with the bottom guide 19 at its lower edge.
Both the solid walls 1 and the sliding doors 3 need not have holes, holes or other recesses and are therefore formed as unprocessed rectangular glass plates. The hard walls 1 are at the top in a groove 21 (FIG. FIG. 4 ) held laterally in the running rail 9. Preferably, one leg of the groove 21 is designed as a clamp and can be pressed with a screw 25 for clamping the fixed wall 1 on the latter. Below is the solid wall 1 either directly on the floor 15 (no representation) or it is in the groove 27 in the bottom rail 17th

The sliding door 3 is held or carried at the top by a clamping device 29 consisting of two clamping jaws. The clamping device 29 is connected via a support pin 31 with a drive 33. The drive 33 preferably comprises two pairs of rollers 35, which roll on tracks 37 in the upper guide rail ( FIGS. 4 and 5 ). With the support bolt 31, the height position of the sliding door 3 with respect to the upper runners 9 can also be adapted to a certain extent in order to compensate for construction inaccuracies.

In the arrangement of the shower wall 5 according FIG. 6 the solid wall 1 is on a side wall of the shower and the sliding door 3 comes into contact with the second wall of the shower room when the sliding door 3 is closed (arrangement with a niche shower). Above the shower wall assembly 5 is again closed by an upper guide 7 with a running rail 9 and below, a bottom rail 17 may be arranged or alternatively the fixed wall 1 directly on the shower room floor 15 and the sliding door 3 of a bottom guide 19 (in FIG. 6 not visible) to be guided selectively.
In order to obtain an optimum seal between the front edge of the sliding door 3 with the adjoining shower room wall, a sealing strip 41 is glued on the end face 39. This comprises a profile bar 43, preferably made of aluminum or stainless steel, in which a groove 45 is embedded in the end face, ie on the side facing away from the sliding door 3. The groove 45 serves to receive a sealing profile 47, which projects beyond the sealing strip 41 at the front, ie the front side. The sealing profile 47 is preferably formed as a hollow body or lip-shaped trained body and consists of a highly elastic material, such as plastic, silicone or rubber ( FIG. 8). FIG. 7 shows a further seal, which reduces the passage of water in the gap between the fixed wall 1 and the sliding door 3 to a minimum. This seal in turn, and in the same arrangement and design comprises a profile bar 43 which is glued on the end face 39 of the sliding door 3 and whose thickness in turn corresponds at most to the thickness d of the sliding door 3. Instead of a sealing profile running in or behind the plane of the sliding door 3, an angular sealing profile 47 is inserted in the groove 45, the lip-shaped limb 47 'projecting at right angles beyond the surface of the sliding door 3 is formed as a fine elastic strip and comes into contact with the solid wall 1 , The leg 47 preferably has no contact with the fixed wall in order to keep the resistance during sliding of the sliding door 3 low and still prevent the passage of water spray.
The inventive sealing strips 41 can consequently be fastened to the latter with an adhesive without any processing of the sliding door 3. Unlike conventional weatherstrip, they do not include the front and rear of the sliding door 3; they lie in the plane of the surfaces of the sliding door 3 or slightly behind it and are therefore on the one hand for aesthetic reasons much finer and therefore almost invisible and On the other hand, the sliding door 3 can be easily cleaned by means of an elastic scraper and lime, soap and other soiling can not remain on the glass surfaces, which in turn impairs the aesthetic appearance.

Analogous to the sealing profiles 41, as in the FIGS. 7 and 8 are shown, the sealing profile for the leading edges of the sliding door 3 is in Eckduschwänden according FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 designed. The profile bar 43 is again the same thickness as the glass plate and provided with magnetic strips sealing profiles are inclined by 45 °.

In the FIGS. 9 and 10 an advantageous embodiment of the short floor guide 19 is shown for the sliding doors 3. The floor guide 19 includes a U-shaped body having a base plate 49 secured to the floor 15 with a screw or glue, and two legs 51. One of the legs 51 is pivotally connected to the base plate 49 and is slidable fold down laterally, so that the sliding door 3 can be easily swung out of the vertical for cleaning the always lying between the solid wall 1 and the sliding door 3 area. Also, the assembly of the sliding door 3 is simplified by the hinged leg 51. In the illustrated embodiment the leg 51 is connected to the pivot pin 53, which engage in corresponding bores 55 on the base plate 49 with the base plate 49. For folding down the leg 51, the latter is slightly displaced in the axial direction, so that a nose 51 formed at right angles to the leg 51 comes out of engagement with a recess 59 on the base plate 49 and can be folded over.
On the leg inner surfaces sliding elements 77 are used to increase the lubricity of the sliding door 3.

As an alternative to a joint with pivot pin and bore, a suitably designed arrestable film hinge joint could also be used.

In the Figures 11 and 12 the corner connection of the two overhead guide rails 9 of the upper guide 7 is shown enlarged. In contrast to conventional guide arrangements on shower wall assemblies 5, the corner joint according to the invention is not visible from the outside. The two upper rails 9 are connected to one another via a corner element 61 having a square outline or cross section. The two upper rails 9 are connected with their perpendicular end faces with the side surfaces of the corner member 61. This connection is made, for example, by a screw guided in a bore 63 (screw not shown), which in a trained in the upper rail 9 screw 65 rotates self-tapping (screw 65 in FIG. 4 visible). Due to the square design of the corner element 61, the rails 9 need not be cut acute-angled, but they can be cut at right angles on each simple sawing device.

73 eingreifen. In the FIGS. 13 to 15 the three perspective views of the corner element 61 are shown in detail. The cubic body 67, which is preferably made as a hollow body with suitably arranged struts as an injection molded plastic or metal, comprises on two of its side surfaces 79 and 81 each have a protruding nose 83, which engage the end face in the rails 9, if this frontally to the corner element 61 are introduced. By the screws, not shown, which are passed through the openings 85,87, the rails 9 are connected to the corner member 61. On the side surfaces containing the large openings 85, guide and retaining tabs 89 may be additionally attached, which also cooperate with the rails 9, to obtain a stable connection. Next is in the FIGS. 13 to 15 the closing element 75 can be seen. At this pin 91 are formed, which engage in apertures 71 and 73, respectively.

A cover plate 69 serves to cover the corner area from below, i. cover the technical measures, such as screws, etc., and make them invisible to the user of the shower. In order to make the side structural measures of the corner invisible, are on the rails 9 and this cross over the corner element 61 extending from the outside and from the inside the apertures 71 and 73 attached. Their end faces are covered in the joint area by the cylinder-shaped end element 75. With the aperture 71 and 73, which are placed after the assembly of the upper guide 7, all dimensional tolerances can be compensated optically. Alternatively, however, associated with more effort, the aperture 71 can be joined together at an angle of 45 °.

The corner element 61 also serves to connect the suspension 13 with the upper guide 7.
