Abstract

Vorgeschlagen wird eine Gießvorrichtung zum Gießen eines Zylinderkurbelgehäuses nach dem Niederdruckgießverfahren mit einem als Schmelztiegel zur Aufnahme von Metallschmelze dienenden mit Überdruck beaufschlagbaren Ofenraum (12), einer oberhalb des Ofenraums angeordneten Gussform (16) mit einem die Außenkontur des zu gießenden Zylinderkurbelgehäuses gießtechnisch abbildenden Formhohlraum, und einem den Behälter (12) und die Gussform (16) verbindendes Steigrohr (14) zum Füllen des Formhohlraums mit Metallschmelze von unten her.
Für eine Verbesserung der Gießvorrichtung hinsichtlich des Speisungsdrucks und der Formtemperierung in kritischen Bereichen weist die Gießvorrichtung eine Anordnung des Formhohlraums (18) derart auf, dass dieser die Kurbelwellenlagerstühle oben und die Zylinderkopfdeckflächen (22) unten gießtechnisch abbildet.
