Description

The invention relates to a cover for gutters, manholes or the like structures according to the preamble of claim 1.

In vielen Fällen, z.
In the outer or inner area, openings are often to be closed in such a way that they can be safely crossed or run over. In many cases, for. As for drainage of surfaces, such covers have openings into which the surface water can enter, to then be dissipated. In the simple case of such covers are bent as grates made of sheet metal, which are provided with slots and webs. The webs have surfaces and side surfaces which are folded relative to the surface. Such grates are made of a single sheet metal strip in which the material is severed between the webs and bent down so that the side surfaces arise. The height of the side surface is thus half the distance between two webs or half the width of the slots. Since the width of the slots is limited, thus only a certain maximum height of the side surfaces is available, which limits the stability of the grates. To increase their stability, a stronger material must be selected, which in turn significantly increases the cost of such grates.
Such a rust is for example from the WO 2008/052599 A1 known.

A device of the type mentioned here is also from the WO 2007/141035 A1 known.

The invention has the object of developing a cover of the type mentioned so that an increased stability without increasing the material thickness can be achieved.

This object is achieved by a cover according to claim 1. In particular, this object is achieved in that at least a second grate is provided, the webs are inserted into the slots of the first grate. This means that each of the two grates (assuming initially only two grates) the double slit width, which in turn means that the height of the side surfaces of each ridge is exactly twice as high as in the "normal" slit width. As a result, despite a small slot width (as prescribed) increased stability can be achieved with the same material thickness.

Preferably, the first grate is connected to the second grate and optionally further roasting, and preferably connected undetachably. This results in a manageable in one piece cover.

If the first grate is positively connected to the second grate and optionally further grates, it can be created with little effort a one-piece component.

Preferably, the first grate is connected to the second grate and optionally further grates by edge-side folds. This results in a very compact component, since the grates rest anyway with their edges on corresponding frames or upper edges of the shafts or structures to be covered.

Preferably, the webs of the grates are bent so that their surfaces extend in a plane. This reduces the risk of injury and improves the appearance of the grates.

A particularly high stability is obtained when at least one of the grates edge-side, downwardly projecting edge strips having substantially vertical slots, in which the side surfaces of the webs are mounted. By supporting the webs on the edge, the stability of the grates is significantly increased overall.

Preferably, only one of the gratings has edge-side support bands, which are bent in an U-shape with the interposition of marginal support bands of all further gratings, so that they enclose the "single-layer" support bands of the other gratings. As a result, a positive connection of all grates is achieved in a particularly cost-effective manner.

The embodiments of the invention described so far relate to a grate which rests with its support bands on the edge of a groove. The present invention is also suitable for gratings that are inserted between frames of a gutter. Here, the grates C-shaped or hook-shaped, inwardly open marginal folds in which the webs are supported. Otherwise, the basic design features, ie the form-fitting connection of multiple grids remain the same.

The preparation of such grates is preferably carried out by roll forming.

In the following description, the same reference numerals are used for the same and like parts.

The following is based on the Fig. 1 and 2 an embodiment of the invention explained.

In Fig. 1B a first grid is shown, which is made of a single piece of sheet metal by roll forming or punching. This first grid 10 has webs 12 which are separated by slots 11. Each land 12 has a surface provided with nubs for improving slip resistance upon entry. Directed by the surfaces 13 downwards, the webs 12 Seitenfalze 14, 14 ', with end claws 19 ( Fig. 7 ) engage in slots 17 which are stamped in edge strips 16, 16 ', so that each side surface 14, 14' is supported with their ends in the edge strips 16, 16 '. The surfaces 13 are further connected in each case to an upper leg of a U-shaped fold 15, which - folded downwards-merges into the edge strips 16, 16 '.

In Fig. 1B It can be seen that the slots 17 are provided in exactly twice the number as the webs 12. In these slots 17 can now side surfaces 24, 24 'of webs 22 of a second grate 20 (FIGS. Fig. 1 A) be used so that then the finished rust according to Fig. 1C arises. This finished grate has therefore alternately webs 12 and 22 of a first grate 10 and second grate 20.

Furthermore, support strips 28, 28 of the second grate 20 between the side surfaces of the U-shaped folds 15, 15 'clamped and end claws 29 of the side surfaces 24, 24' in slots 17 of the edge strips 16, 16 'of the first grid 10 mounted.

The advantages of this construction are described below with reference to Fig. 3 to 5 explained.

In Fig. 3 is shown in highly schematic form a metal sheet, which initially runs in one plane and then in the area of the arrow in Fig. 3 is severed. Thereupon become the sheet metal sections as in Fig. 3 folded downward so that there are a number of webs with very wide slots therebetween. In Fig. 4 such an arrangement is shown, wherein the local webs 22 centrally between the webs 12 of the grate 10 from Fig. 5 be used. This allows the side surfaces 14, 14 'and 24, 24' are formed twice as high, as in a grate, which consists of only one piece.

In the 6 and 7 are sections along the lines VI-VI and VII-VII, respectively Fig. 5 shown. It can be seen that the first grid 10 has laterally folds 15, which on the one hand bent in a U-shape and then on the other hand bent down to form the edge strips 16. These edge strips 16 have slots 17, in which end claws 19 of the side surfaces 14 engage, so that the webs 12 of the first grate 10 are supported with their side surfaces 14 in the edge strip 16. Furthermore, the folds 15 surround support bands 28 of the second grate 20, which therefore has no folds 15 and edge strips 16. By this construction, on the one hand, a secure connection between the first grid 10 and the second grid 20 is ensured by positive engagement, on the other hand results in the already explained above stability increase by higher side surfaces 14, 14 '.

The just explained principle of "nesting" of two grids can also be extended to a higher number of grates. This is in the 8 to 11 shown.

In the embodiment according to Fig. 8 In addition to a first grid 10 and a second grid 20, three further shelves 30 to 32 are schematically shown. These grates can then - as in Fig. 9 is shown - are "stacked" so that a completely closed cover is produced, but "only" made of sheet metal parts, but has an extremely high stability.

In the in the 10 and 11 In the embodiment shown, a first grate 10, a second grate 20 and a third grate 30 are inserted into one another, so that relatively narrow slits 11 are created, as desired from time to time. In addition, the stability of this arrangement is also particularly high.

In Fig. 1 as well as in the FIGS. 6 and 7 Grates were described, with their support bands 18, 18 '; 28, 28 'rest on edges of a gutter. In the FIGS. 12 and 13 are shown schematically grates that lie between frames of a gutter. For this purpose, the folds 15 are C-shaped or hook-shaped and define the Thickness of the grates 10, 20. The webs 22 and their side surfaces 24, 24 'project with their end claws 29 into the hook-shaped folds 15 and are supported there. The success achieved by this is the same as in the previously shown embodiment of the invention. Again, two or more grates 10, 20 can be "clawed" into each other to create a stable, uniformly handleable grate.
