Description

Stand der TechnikState of the art

The invention relates to an electrical connection according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such an electrical connection is already well known, such as from US 3 717 842 A , of the DE 10 2007 020210 A1 and the DE 199 02 405 A1 , And is used in electrical equipment, such as control units or units in automotive technology, for electrically connecting a lead wire with a plug contact element. In this case, a frictional connection in the form of a so-called crimp connection is usually used. In a crimp connection, connection regions of the plug-in contact element are connected to the connection wire by plastic deformation. Such a crimp connection is only partially solvable and usually not repairable.

In addition, plug connections are known, which have a plug-in contact element and a mating plug contact. These two elements are also connected to each other by adhesion or spring action, such a connection as often as is solvable and reparable.

A disadvantage of both non-positive connections is that at very low electric currents, meaning in particular currents in the range of nanoamps or below, the contact points of the compound have a non-linear resistance behavior. This non-linear resistance behavior changes the electrical information, which should be forwarded as unchanged as possible by the electrical connection.

Offenbarung der ErfindungDisclosure of the invention

Based on the illustrated prior art, the present invention seeks to further develop an electrical connection according to the preamble of claim 1 such that the electrical connection has a linear as possible resistance behavior even when conducting very low currents. This object is achieved according to the invention in an electrical connection with the features of claim 1, characterized in that the plug contact element is electrically contacted with a mating plug contact element and is connected to this both non-positively and cohesively.

One therefore makes use of the advantage of a relatively simple assembly, as is usually the case with a non-positive connection, and then modifies or modifies the non-positive connection by an additional cohesive connection, which ensures a consistently optimal conductivity of the current even at very high ensured low currents.

Advantageous developments of the electrical connection according to the invention are specified in the subclaims. All combinations of at least two of the features disclosed in the claims, the description and / or the figures fall within the scope of the invention.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the cohesive connection is designed as a welded or soldered connection. Here comes as a welded connection in particular a resistance, ultrasonic, or laser welding in question. Depending on the application, each of the cohesive connections mentioned can be realized on a large scale with relatively simple means and monitored well in terms of process engineering.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the crimp connection is designed as a double crimp connection. Here, the crimp is divided into two different crimping points, of which one crimp for non-positive connection of the plug contact element with the strand of a lead wire, while the other crimping the electrical contacting of the lead wire itself serves, this area is stripped from the strand or freed. As a result, in particular in the case of a tensile stress, a strain relief is effected on the connection wire serving for the electrical contacting.

According to the invention, it is provided that the plug-in contact element is electrically contacted with a mating plug contact element and is non-positively connected thereto and that between the plug contact element and the mating plug contact element, a further additional cohesive connection is formed. As a result, the electrical connection is suitable e.g. for connecting an electrical appliance to a connection cable, e.g. the connection cable of a wiring harness in a motor vehicle. In this case, the transmission of particularly small currents without loss of information is made possible by the additional additional cohesive connection between the plug contact element and the mating plug contact element at this point.

As with the first cohesive connection, the additional additional cohesive connection is preferably designed as a welded or soldered connection.

On the one hand to allow a protected arrangement of the electrical connection in the region of the plug contact element with the mating plug contact element, and on the other hand to be able to form the additional cohesive connection in a relatively simple manner, it is provided in a further embodiment of the invention that the plug contact element in a plug housing is arranged and that the connector housing in an area of connection between the plug contact element and a mating connector contact element has an opening, in particular an opening, such that the connection area is accessible from the outside.

It is particularly preferred in this case if the plug housing is electrically contactable with its connection region with the mating plug contact elements arranged in a housing, in particular of an electrical device, and that the housing has a cutout which is arranged in at least partial coverage with the opening and which by means of a Cover element is closed. As a result, a sealed and protected arrangement of the connection region between plug contact element and mating plug contact element in a housing of an electrical device is made possible. In order to further improve process reliability, in particular in the large-scale technical use of the invention, it is furthermore advantageous if the plug contact housing associated plug contact element in the plug housing by a positive connection, in particular by a latching connection, is fixed. As a result, the plug-in contact element can be securely connected to the plug housing in a purely mechanical way and secured.

A particularly tight connection can also be achieved if the plug housing has a seal and cooperates with the housing of the electrical device.

Further advantages, features and details of the invention will become apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments and from the drawing.

In the Fig. 1 an electrical line in the form of a lead wire 1 (stranded wire) is shown, which is electrically contacted with a plug contact element in the form of a plug connection body 10. The connecting wire 1 has an insulation 2, which encloses the stranded wires 5. The connecting wire 1 is electrically stripped in the region of its electrical connection with the plug connection body 5, ie freed from its insulation 2.

The plug connection body 10 is, as is known per se, produced as a stamped / bent part from sheet metal and has two crimp regions 12, 13 which are spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction. Here, the first crimping area 12 of the non-positive connection of the connector body 10 with the insulation 2 near the stripped terminal wire 1, while the second crimping area 13 of the non-positive connection of the lead wire 1 with the connector body 10 is used. How to particular on the basis of Fig. 2 detects, the male terminal body 10 on the two crimping areas 12, 13 opposite side on a produced by a punching / bending process, projecting from the actual connector body 10 locking lug 14 on.

According to the invention, it is provided that the second crimping region 13, which serves for the electrical contacting of the connecting wire 5 with the plug connection body 10, is equipped or provided with an additional cohesive connection 15. Here, the additional cohesive connection 15 is formed in particular as a welded connection. Depending on the application, in particular a laser, resistance or ultrasonic welding is considered as a welded connection. Alternatively, a solder joint is conceivable.

In the Fig. 3 a connector housing 20 is shown for use with a plurality of male terminal bodies 10, which are arranged parallel to each other in the connector housing 20. Here, the plug housing 20 has an opening in the form of an opening 21, whose one boundary wall 22 serves at the same time as a stop for the Verrastungsnasen 14 of the connector body 10, so that the plug connection body 10 are accommodated by positive engagement in the connector housing 20 and secured therein. It is also essential that the region of the opening 21 is arranged in the connector housing 20 in an area in which a non-positive connection with mating connectors 24 (see Fig. 4 ) takes place.

In the Fig. 4 is an electrical device 30, which has, for example, an integrated circuit, not shown, or the like. The electrical device 30, which can be used in particular in a motor vehicle, has a housing 31 which has a recess 32 in the area of the mating connector 24. The recess 32 is by means of a in the Fig. 6 lid member 33 shown tightly closed, for example by a laser welding. For joining the plug housing 20 with the electrical device 30 according to the direction of the arrow 34 in the Fig. 4 the plug housing 20 is inserted with the region of its opening 21 in a housing portion 35. In order to achieve a sealed connection between the plug housing 20 and the housing section 35 or the housing 31, either the housing section 35, or preferably the plug housing 20, has one in which Fig. 3 recognizable seal 36.

In the Fig. 5 the state is shown in which the connector housing 20 is fully inserted into the housing portion 35 of the housing 31. It can be seen in particular that the opening 21 of the plug housing 20 and the recess 32 of the housing 31 are arranged in alignment with each other, so that the connecting portion 37 between the male terminal bodies 10 and the mating plugs 24, in which they are positively and electrically connected to each other, from the outside ago accessible or editable. According to the invention, it is provided that in the connection region 37, the individual connections between the respective plug connection bodies 10 and the associated mating plugs 24 are provided with a further cohesive connection 38. This further cohesive connection 38 is preferably designed as a soldered or welded connection. In the illustrated embodiment, in which the mating connector 24 are disposed within the connector body 10 and enclosed by this, the additional cohesive connection 38 is formed as a laser welding connection. As soon as the additional cohesive connection 38 is formed, the housing 31 is closed by means of the cover element 33 so that it is sealed to the outside. The electrical connection described so far can be modified or modified in many ways without departing from the spirit of the invention. Thus, it is conceivable, for example, to contact the plug housing 20 directly with mating plugs 24 electrically, without these being arranged in a separate housing 31 of an electrical device 30. In this case, it is expediently provided to close the opening 21 of the plug housing 20 by means of a separate cover element.
