Description

Domaine techniqueTechnical area

The present invention relates to a siphon assembly. More particularly, the invention relates to a shower tray with said siphon integrated in the receiver.

Contexte de l'inventionContext of the invention

In order to allow the water of a shower to drain properly, it is common to use a shower tray, which is usually a substantially flat surface placed under the shower so as to collect water from the shower through an inclined plane that directs the water to a wastewater disposal system, which can be connected through an orifice in the receiver.

Le document Ep 1 098 041 décrit un receveur de douche selon le préambule de la revendication 1.If the shower tray has a built-in siphon, it can easily be attached to a conventional wastewater system, simplifying installation. However, the integration of the siphon under the shower tray increases the height of the latter, the siphon assembly is often installed directly under the drain hole, as described in documents EP 1 098 041 , EP 1 518 969 and DE 101 46 812 . The document Ep 1 098 041 discloses a shower tray according to the preamble of claim 1.

An alternative is to install the siphon on the side of the shower tray and thus allow the connection of the receiver through a drain hole in the side of the receiver. However, a horizontal connection to the wastewater system is not desirable, as this type of connection is more likely to leak than a vertical connection. In addition, it may be difficult to achieve sufficient sealing of the siphon when the drain port is on the side of the receiver, which may cause odors from the wastewater system to emanate and come out through the drain hole.

US 4 922 948 .Strainers are also described in the document US 4,922,948 .

It would therefore be advantageous to have an improved shower tray and in particular, it would be advantageous to have a shower tray that installs easily, which is good value for money and is pleasant to use.

Accordingly, it is the object of the present invention preferably to reduce, mitigate or eliminate one or more of the aforementioned drawbacks and lacunae of the technique, either individually or by any combination, and to overcome at least the aforementioned disadvantages by to a built-in siphon shower tray.

According to the invention, there is provided a shower tray integrated siphon. Said shower tray comprises a receiving portion and a siphon structure which has an outlet port attached to a waste water discharge pipe, arranged in a first piece of continuous material with the receiving portion inclined towards the siphon structure, further comprising a cover in a second piece of material separated from the first piece of material, said cover comprising a cover plate and a cylindrical portion of overlap, which extends substantially perpendicularly from the cover plate. The siphon structure forms a space where water flowing from the receiving portion into the siphon structure is trapped before exiting the siphon structure through the waste water discharge pipe, and wherein the cylindrical portion cover, when applied to the waste water discharge pipe, protrudes into the siphon structure so that it is immersed in trapped water without engaging the surface of the structure forming siphon and the cylindrical overlap portion comprises a strainer structure, attached along the end of the protruding member in a direction substantially perpendicular to the cylindrical overlap portion.
the invention is to facilitate the cleaning of the siphon by simply removing the cover by means of a strainer structure for filtering the drain water so that the filter is part of the cover. It may also be less risky than existing solutions, and it is more cost-effective and environmentally friendly.

The waste water discharge pipe may be attached to the siphon structure such that the direction of the diameter of the waste water discharge pipe, at the point of attachment with the siphon structure, is substantially aligned with the siphon structure. horizontal.

The advantage here is that the connection may be less prone to leakage.

The siphon siphon structure may include a recess into which the waste water discharge pipe may be placed.

The advantage here is that the shower tray can be lower, since the water pipe does not need to extend under the siphon.

This is an advantage since the water pipe can then be connected to the siphon structure so that the direction of the diameter of the waste water discharge pipe at the point of attachment with the siphon structure is aligned. substantially horizontally, and extend simultaneously from the side of the siphon, for example through the withdrawal.

The edge of the outlet of the siphon siphon structure may form a first ridge, and the wastewater outlet may include a second ridge extending around the pipe along the perimeter of the siphon pipe. so that a seal portion can be between the first ridge and the second ridge, thereby sealing the connection between the siphon structure and the waste water discharge pipe.

The advantage here is that greater pressure can then be exerted on the joint portion, which makes the connection between the siphon structure and the waste water discharge pipe less prone to leakage.

In one embodiment, the shower tray further comprises a plug, inserted into the waste water discharge pipe and engaging the first ridge.

The plug may have an external thread portion and the waste water discharge pipe at the point of attachment to the siphon structure may include an internal thread portion.

This system is advantageous because it facilitates the connection between the waste water discharge pipe and the siphon structure.

In one embodiment, the lowest point of the cylindrical portion of the shower tray is at a vertical distance of at least 50 mm from the highest point of the inner cylindrical portion, when the lid is placed in the structure forming siphon.

The advantage here is that the siphon respects European standards.

This system is advantageous because the strainer structure can serve as a filter for particles that could otherwise clog the wastewater outlet pipe. Since the filter is part of the lid, it is easy to clean by removing the lid.

The present invention generally has the advantage over the prior art of providing an integrated siphon shower tray. The latter is profitable and ecological. In addition, the finished product requires less space for installation and is easier to install and use.

Description des modes de réalisationDescription of the embodiments

We will describe several embodiments of the present invention in more detail below, with reference to the accompanying drawings to enable the skilled person to implement the invention. The latter can however be implemented in many different forms, and should in no way be considered as limited to the embodiments described herein. Indeed, these embodiments are described in order to make the present description complete and exhaustive, and they fully reflect the scope of the invention for the skilled person. These embodiments in no way limit the invention, the latter being limited only by the appended claims. In addition, the terminology employed in the detailed description of the particular embodiments illustrated in the accompanying drawings is not meant to be a limit for the invention.

The following description is directed to an embodiment of the present invention that may be applied to a shower tray having a substantially cylindrical siphon assembly located near one side of the receiver surface. However, as is well known to those skilled in the art, the siphon assembly may have several types of suitable geometric shapes, and may furthermore be placed at different locations under the receiver.

In an embodiment according to figure 1 As part of the invention, there is provided an integrated siphon shower tray 10. The shower tray comprises a receiving portion 100, which is integrally formed. This system is advantageous because it limits the risk of leaks. The receiving portion 100 includes a catcher surface 110, which is inclined so that water falling on the catcher surface 110 flows into a discharge channel 120, which is also included in the catcher portion 100. The receiving portion 100 further includes a siphon structure 130, which is in the discharge channel 120 so that water flows from the discharge channel and down into the siphon structure 130. The siphon structure 130 comprises a large cylindrical outer portion 131, and a small cylindrical inner portion 132. The inner cylindrical portion 132 is placed therein of the outer cylindrical portion 131, and the bases of the two cylindrical portions 131, 132 which are farthest from the discharge channel 120 are fixed to each other by a sealed bottom 133. The base of the outer cylindrical portion 131, which is not attached to the inner cylindrical portion, is attached to the discharge channel 120 and thereby connects the siphon structure 130 to the receiving portion 100. Thus, as we clearly see on the figure 1 the two cylindrical portions 131, 132 and the sealed bottom 133 are included in the shower tray 100 as a single integrated unit extending from the drain channel 120 in a direction substantially perpendicular to the receiving surface 110, and thus form a continuous receiver with integrated siphon 10.

As will be appreciated by those skilled in the art, the integrated siphon receiver 10 may be made from molded resin stone, solid surface materials, ceramics, concrete, etc.

The integrated siphon tray 10 can be formed from a single piece of plastic material by heating and then pressing. The shower tray 130 and the siphon 131 can also be produced in two different parts that are joined to each other immovably by welding or gluing to obtain the complete shower tray integrated siphon.

The inner cylindrical portion 132 is slightly shorter than the outer cylindrical portion 131. Since the cylindrical portions 131, 132 are secured by the sealed bottom 133 at a substantially identical level at a first end, the second end of the relatively greater internal cylindrical portion short 132 is therefore not at the same level as the second end of the relatively longer outer cylindrical portion 131. When the water flows from the shower tray 100, into the discharge channel 120 and then into the outer cylindrical portion 131, it is therefore retained in the space created by the walls of the outer cylindrical portion 131, the inner cylindrical portion 132 and the sealed bottom 133. However, when the water level reaches the top of the inner cylindrical portion 132, the water flows into the inner cylindrical portion 132, thereby exiting the siphon structure 130. If the top of the inner cylindrical portion 132 is attached to a waste water discharge pipe 150, which may be located therein of the internal cylindrical portion 132, the water is then deflected and flows into the wastewater discharge system.

La profondeur du joint de la structure formant siphon 130 est donc identique à la hauteur de la partie cylindrique interne 132.The depth of the seal of the siphon structure 130 is therefore identical to the height of the internal cylindrical portion 132.

As will be appreciated by those skilled in the art, the exact dimensions of the various parts of the integrated siphon 10 are variable. However, according to a non-limiting example, the inner cylindrical portion 132 may be 56 mm in length and may have a diameter of 92 mm. The outer cylindrical portion 131 may be 61 mm in length and may have a diameter of 156 mm. The integrated siphon shower tray 10 further includes a lid 140 which, in use, is placed on the siphon structure 130. The lid 140 includes a cover plate 141 which, in use, is substantially parallel to the shower tray and a cylindrical covering portion 142, which is attached to the cover plate substantially perpendicularly.

We see it on the figure 5 which is a perspective top view of the integrated siphon shower tray 10. The cylindrical cover portion 142 is secured to the cover plate 141 so that in use it fits between the outer cylindrical portion 131 and the cylindrical inner portion 132. Thus, the cylindrical covering portion 142 extends into the siphon structure 130, into the space created by the walls of the outer cylindrical portion 131, the inner cylindrical portion 132 and the sealed bottom 133. However, the cylindrical covering portion 142 is shorter than the outer cylindrical portion 131. Therefore, the cylindrical covering portion 142 will never extend into the siphon structure 130 so as to touch the sealed bottom 133. In use this system allows water to flow unobstructed from the shower tray 100 to the inside of the inner cylindrical portion 132, as previously explained. As the lid 140, in use, is placed on the siphon structure 130, and as the cylindrical cover portion 142 extends into the siphon structure 130, which in use is filled with water, the lid 140 completes the seal of the siphon as we see on the figure 2 which is a perspective sectional view of the integrated siphon shower tray 10.

In one embodiment, the lowest point of cylindrical portion 142 and the highest point of the internal cylindrical portion 132 are placed at a vertical distance of 50 mm from each other so as to create a siphon which measures 50 mm in height.

This system is advantageous because the siphon is then in compliance with European standards.

The figure 1 is an exploded sectional view of the integrated siphon shower tray viewed from above and the figure 3 is an exploded sectional view of the integrated siphon shower tray viewed from below.

The fact that the lid 140 is part of the siphon is advantageous because it requires fewer separate parts, which lowers the cost of manufacture.

The lid 140 may be made from the same material as the shower tray 100 but may also be made of a different material.

As will be appreciated by those skilled in the art, the cover may be made of any molded or pressed material, such as a resin stone, a solid surface, a ceramic, a plastic, or a metal. The lid 140 can be made in a single piece and homogeneous. However, the cover 140 can also be made in two parts which are then assembled, for example welded or glued to each other irremovably and tightly.

The siphon structure 130 may be connected to a waste water discharge pipe 150, as shown in FIGS. Figures 1 and 2 not being part of the invention. The outlet of the siphon structure 130 forms a first ridge 134, and the waste water discharge pipe 150 includes a second ridge 151, extending around the pipe along the perimeter of the pipe. The waste water discharge pipe 150 is placed inside the internal cylindrical portion 132 and is connected to the internal cylindrical portion 132 at the top of the latter 132. The connection is made through a cap 160 and a seal portion 170. The seal portion 170 may be a simple O-ring or ring flat of a size that allows it, in use, to prevent water from escaping. The seal portion is positioned between the first ridge 134 of the siphon structure 130 and the second ridge 151 of the wastewater discharge pipe 150. The seal portion 170 is held in place between the first ridge 134 of the structure. siphon 130 and second crest 151 through the stopper 160, which is arranged to extend into the wastewater outlet pipe 150 so that the wastewater outlet pipe 150 is carefully connected to the inner cylindrical portion 132. In one embodiment, there is an external thread around the plug 160 and an internal thread in the waste water discharge pipe 150, so that the plug 160 can be screwed removably into the waste water discharge pipe 150 and, once firmly attached, create a seal around the seal portion 170.

Nous le voyons sur la figure 2 et sur la figure 6, qui est une vue de dessous en perspective du receveur de douche à siphon intégré 10.Preferably, but it is not mandatory, as shown in figure 3 not forming part of the invention, the siphon structure 130 may include a recess 180 in which the waste water discharge pipe 150 is placed, which allows the waste water discharge pipe 150 to extending from the siphon structure 130 in a direction substantially perpendicular to the diameter of the cylindrical portions 131, 132, 142. The water discharge pipe worn 150 may be L, so that it is connected to the inner cylindrical portion 132 in the top of the latter 132, substantially parallel to the diameter of the inner cylindrical portion, extends through the inner portion of the cylindrical portion 132, then elbow so as to be deflectable through the recess in a direction substantially perpendicular to the diameter of the cylindrical portions 131, 132, 142. We see it on the figure 2 and on the figure 6 which is a perspective bottom view of the integrated siphon shower tray 10.

This system is advantageous because it allows the siphon structure 130 to be smaller in size, which then results in a lower integrated siphon shower tray. At the same time, the connection between the integrated siphon shower tray 10 and the waste water discharge system is substantially horizontal, and thus has less risk of leakage than a substantially vertical connection.

Dans un mode de réalisation (non représenté), le tuyau d'évacuation d'eau usée 150 est rectiligne, ce qui signifie qu'il s'étend verticalement à partir de la partie cylindrique 132.In one embodiment (not shown), the waste water discharge pipe 150 is straight, which means that it extends vertically from the cylindrical portion 132.

In one embodiment of the invention of the figure 4 the cylindrical cover portion 142 is provided with a strainer structure 400, secured along the end of the cylindrical cover portion 142 which extends into the siphon structure 130. The strainer structure 400 is attached to the perimeter of the cylindrical covering portion 142, substantially cylindrical perpendicular to overlap the diameter of the cylindrical portion of The width of the strainer structure 400 is adapted to the distance between the outer cylindrical portion 131 and the inner cylindrical portion 132. Thus, in use, when the cylindrical cover portion 142 is placed in the siphon structure 130, the strainer structure 400 functions as a trap for the hair and other particles, while allowing the water to pass through the strainer.

This system is advantageous in that it provides a simple means of separating the hair and other particles from the water and is easy to clean by simply lifting the lid 140.
