In order to provide a small amount of space, e.g. In a control cabinet or a terminal box, to provide a plurality of terminals, so-called double-level terminals are used as terminal blocks.
A continuously increasing demand for such terminal blocks, e.g. in automation areas, results in the demand for smaller number of parts, as equal as possible components, small size and flexible design.
The object of the present invention is therefore to provide an improved terminal block.
The object is achieved by a terminal blocks with the features of claim 1.
The terminal is formed with an upper part and a lower part with a respective conductor element, which in a first embodiment are removably connectable to each other again. The upper part and the lower part form, so to speak, each separate terminal blocks, but which are connectable to each other.
They each have one or more conductor connection elements, such as connection terminals, which are connected to one another by the conductor element, such as a busbar. One or more of the conductor connection elements can also be replaced by connection elements such as pins or sockets.
Preferably, in any case, the upper part in the direction of arrangement are provided on both sides with insulating walls, so that it is also possible to set up a single shell only on a single row of parts only at one point, without the end angle or the like. Are required.
The fixation of the upper part on the lower part at least in the direction of arrangement can be done by swords or the like. Or by other means such as the vertical connector.
According to an advantageous variant - which is also kinematically reversible - the upper part can be inserted into the lower part. Thus, the terminal blocks can be extended in any extent in a simple manner, with a particular advantage is that the upper part is held firmly in the lower part not only in the longitudinal direction, transverse direction and height direction of the terminal, but is also lockable and this locking means of a tool , eg Screwdriver blade, is again detachable.
A connection of the conductor elements in the upper part and lower part is effected by at least one plug-in and again releasable vertical connector, which connects the conductor element of the lower part and the conductor element of the upper part electrically conductive and possibly also mechanically by simply plugging. Thereby In a simple way, a vertical connector is used to conductively connect the upper part and the lower part with each other.
Here, the at least one vertical connector can be guided in vertical channels in the lower part and in the upper part. This ensures a simple and safe threading and joining.
One advantage is that the upper part can have at least one guide blade, which can be inserted and pushed into the designated at least one corresponding guide groove of the lower part without excessive force. Snapping as in the prior art is not required.
Yet another advantage is provided by the fact that the conductor elements can be electrically connected by means of a vertical connector.
Due to the guide groove and thus existing centering the upper part is fixed immediately in the longitudinal direction of the mounting rail or mounting rail and requires no alignment in this longitudinal direction more.
In addition, the upper part is lockable with the lower part, which can be done for example by means of at least one latching hook, which can be mounted next to the at least one guide blade so that it has a necessary suspension for locking.
For this purpose, the at least one latching hook may have a latching element, for example in the form of a hook, which can be releasably locked with an opening with an undercut in a wall of the lower part.
For simultaneous centering during assembly, the upper part can be provided with at least one centering element, which cooperates with at least one centering receptacle of the lower part corresponding to it. That's one easy and easy assembly guaranteed. By locking the latching hook a secure and fast grip is possible.
These electrical connections are created by plugging in. In this case, the at least one vertical connector having an upper part connection and a lower part connection, which form an electrical connection by contacting with the respective conductor element in the respective contact opening by resilient contact pressure and / or cutting sections.
In a further embodiment, the conductor element of the lower part can be designed for a potential grounding.
A further advantage results from the fact that the terminal block can form four different versions, namely through terminal upper part and through terminal lower part, through terminal upper part and PE terminal (potential ground) lower part, connection via vertical connector of upper part and lower part, and connection via vertical connector of upper part and lower part as a common PE terminal.
In addition, cross-connector can be provided to adjacent terminal blocks, which can also be electrically connected to the vertical connectors, so that there is a great variety of connectivity options with small number of parts and small space.
The upper part and the lower part can also be themselves parts of a more than two-storey design, as well as three or more levels of "upper and lower parts" or successive settable terminal blocks can be realized.
Also conceivable are optional coding means between upper part and lower part.
