  • the operating means 423 is preferably shaped in such a way as to provide surfaces 423', 423" adapted for being securely gripped between two human fingers.
  • the barrel bolt 420 is intended for releasably locking the sash 3 to the frame 2 in a position of the window 1 in which the sash 3 is rotated past its normal opening range. Such an angle may be close to 180 degrees, but may also be smaller, depending i.a. on the dimensions of the frame and the sash.
  • the sash 3 is rotated around the pivot hinge axis 21 with respect to the frame 2 and the engagement between parts of the hinge is released in a manner known to the person skilled in the art in such pivot hinges, such as to enable a user to clean the outside surface of the window 1, particularly of the pane 4, from within a building in which the window 1 is mounted.
  • At least one of the side frame members 7, 8 comprise an aperture (not shown in Figs 1 to 5 ) adapted for receiving the bolt 422 of the barrel bolt 420 at least partially, which recess may optionally comprise an insert preferably made of plastic.
  • the insert may comprise retaining means such as barbs for retaining it in the recess.
  • Figs 6 to 8 a slightly different embodiment of the window is shown.
  • an aperture 711 intended for receiving the bolt of the barrel bolt 420 is shown at the bottom of the frame side member 7. This aperture 711 is intended for receiving the barrel bolt in the cleaning position, i.e. when the sash has been turned past its normal opening angle.
  • Another aperture 712 is positioned near the top of the frame side member 7. If desirable, this aperture 712 makes it possible to provide a further ventilating position at a relatively small angle, but still allows for more air entrance than by the ventilation flap 400 in itself.

Claims (8)

  1. Fenêtre de toit (1) comprenant un cadre (2) doté d'un élément supérieur (5), d'un élément inférieur (6) et de deux éléments latéraux (7, 8) définissant un plan de cadre, et un châssis (3) comportant un élément supérieur (9), un élément inférieur (10) et deux éléments latéraux (11, 12) définissant un plan de châssis,
    la fenêtre de toit (1) comprenant, de plus, en liaison avec ledit élément supérieur de châssis (9), un module supérieur de châssis (411),
    la fenêtre de toit (1) comprenant, de plus, au moins un boulon de canon (420) conçu pour verrouiller, de façon libérable, le châssis (3) sur le cadre (2) dans une position de la fenêtre de toit (1) dans laquelle le châssis (3) est tourné vers une position à l'extérieur de sa plage d'ouverture normale, de préférence voisine de 180 degrés, autour d'un axe d'articulation par pivotement (21) par rapport au cadre (2), le boulon de canon (420) comportant un logement (421) et un boulon (422) agencé dans le logement (421) d'une façon telle qu'il puisse se déplacer longitudinalement en liaison avec le logement (421), le boulon de canon (420) comprenant, en outre, des moyens de mise en oeuvre (423), lesdits moyens de mise en oeuvre (423) forment un angle par rapport au boulon (422) de telle sorte qu'ils s'étendent essentiellement dans la direction d'un axe orienté selon la profondeur (15) de la fenêtre (1),
    caractérisée en ce que
    lesdits moyens de mise en oeuvre (423) comprennent une longueur (1) de telle sorte qu'elle se termine approximativement de niveau avec la surface du module supérieur de châssis (411) faisant face à distance du logement (421) du boulon de canon (420) et que ledit module supérieur de châssis (411) comporte au moins une ouverture, lesdits moyens de mise en oeuvre (423) dudit boulon de canon (420) s'étendant à travers ladite, au moins, une ouverture.
  2. Fenêtre de toit selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle la longueur (1) des moyens de mise en oeuvre (423) est telle que, dans la position montée du boulon de canon (420), lesdits moyens de mise en oeuvre s'étendent dans la direction de l'axe de profondeur (15) de la fenêtre (1) selon une distance correspondant à, mais n'excédant pas, la somme de la distance entre le boulon de canon (420) et le module supérieur de châssis (411) et de l'épaisseur du module supérieur de châssis (411).
  3. Fenêtre de toit selon la revendication 1 ou 2, dans laquelle ladite ouverture dudit module supérieur de châssis (411) comporte une ouverture de ventilation (418).
  4. Fenêtre de toit selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle ledit boulon (422) est agencé dans le logement (421) d'une manière telle qu'il puisse être déplacé longitudinalement d'une façon télescopique à l'intérieur du logement (421) à partir d'une première position dans laquelle le boulon (422) est placé complètement à l'intérieur du logement (421) jusqu'à une seconde position dans laquelle le boulon (422) est placé au moins partiellement à l'extérieur du logement (421).
  5. Fenêtre de toit selon la revendication 4, dans laquelle ledit logement (421) du boulon de canon (420) comprend une première extrémité ouverte (427) et une seconde extrémité fermée (428) et le fait que ledit boulon de canon (420) soit monté dans un évidement (426) situé dans l'élément supérieur de châssis (9) de telle manière que l'extrémité ouverte (427) du logement (421) soit agencée de niveau avec une surface d'extrémité transversale de l'élément supérieur de châssis (9), tandis que l'extrémité fermée (428) du logement (421) est placée de façon adjacente à, ou en contact avec, une extrémité de l'évidement (426) opposée à la surface d'extrémité transversale de l'élément supérieur de châssis (9).
  6. Fenêtre de toit selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle ledit boulon de canon (420) est fixé sur l'élément supérieur de châssis (9) à l'aide de moyens de fixation, tels que des vis ou analogues, lesdits moyens de fixation passant, de préférence, à travers un trou (425) dans le logement (421) de même qu'à travers un trou oblong (442) formé dans le boulon (422).
  7. Fenêtre de toit selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle les moyens de mise en oeuvre (423) s'étendent à travers un trou oblong (424) prévu dans le logement (421) du boulon de canon (420), l'extension du trou oblong (424) dans le logement (421) et/ou du trou oblong (422) dans le boulon (422) définissant l'extension du déplacement longitudinal du boulon (422) dans le logement (421).
  8. Fenêtre de toit selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle la longueur (1) des moyens de mise en oeuvre (423) se situe entre 1 et 3 cm, de préférence entre 2 et 3 cm et/ou en ce que les moyens de mise en oeuvre (423) sont configurés avec des surfaces (423', 423") adaptées pour être saisies de façon sûre entre les deux doigts d'une personne.
