Abstract

The nozzle has a nozzle hole (4.10) for discharging plasma gas beam to a nozzle tip (4.11) and comprising a section (4.1) with a cylindrical outer surface (4.4) and another section (4.2) with a tapered outer surface (4.5). A cooling fluid supply groove (4.20) extends over a part of the former section and over the latter surface towards the nozzle tip. A cooling fluid return groove (4.22) is arranged separately from the liquid supply groove, and extends over the latter section. Outwardly projecting areas (4.31, 4.32) are formed between the supply and return grooves. An independent claim is also included for a plasma torch head.
