    - is provided between the first fixing section (24; 224) and the swing over joint (30; 230) such that by means of said displacement device (40; 240) said swing over joint (30; 230) can be displaced together with said second fixing section (22, 22', 23; 223), or
    - is provided between the swing over joint (130) and the second fixing section (123) such that by means of said swing over joint (130) said displacement device (140) is displaceable together with said second fixing section (123).
  3. The fittings system according to claim 1 or 2,
    characterised in that
    the displacement device (40; 140; 240)
    - is designed for rotary displacement of said second fixing section, or
    - is designed for translative displacement of said second fixing section.
  4. The fittings system according to any one of the claims 1 to 3,
    characterised in that
    the displacement device (140; 240) is designed for translative displacement of said supporting element, the displacement device (140; 240) preferably being provided for arrangement in the vicinity of the seat (214a, 214b) and/or the base frame (211) of the article of seating furniture (210) or for arrangement in the supporting element (112).
  5. The fittings system according to any one of the claims 1 to 4,
    characterised in that
    the displacement device (240) is designed for conjoint displacement of said second fixing section (223) and said seat (214a, 214b) relative to the base frame (211), for which purpose preferably said first fixing section (224) is designed for attachment to the base frame (211) of said article of seating furniture, and said fittings system (220) has at least a third fixing section (250) for attachment to said seat (214a, 214b), said displacement device (240) being provided between said first fixing section (224) and said third fixing section (250).
  6. An article of seating furniture (10; 110; 210), more particularly a sofa (10; 110; 210), comprising
    - a base frame (11; 111; 211) that is stationary in relation to an underlying surface,
    - a seat (14; 114; 214a, 214b) and
    - a supporting element (12; 112; 212),
    wherein
    - said supporting element (12; 112; 212), by means of a hinged fitting (20; 120; 220) having a swing over joint (30; 130; 230), can be swung over from a basic position disposed to the side of said seat (14; 114; 214a, 214b) to an end position located in front of said seat to form a leg rest, the top surface or lateral surface of said supporting element (12; 112; 212) in the basic position becoming the bottom surface thereof in said end position,
    characterised in that
    said hinged fitting (20; 20'; 120; 220) is designed according to any one of the preceding claims.
  7. The article of seating furniture according to claim 6,
    characterised in that
    said displacement device (40; 140; 240) is designed and arranged relative to a centre of gravity (13) of said supporting element (12) such that
    - starting from the basic position, swinging said supporting element (12; 112; 212) about an axis (32; 132; 232) of said swing over joint (30; 130; 230) results in said displacement device (40; 140; 240) assuming its end position, and
    - starting from the end position, swinging said supporting element (12; 112; 212) about the axis (32; 132; 232) of said swing over joint (30; 130; 230) results in said displacement device (40; 140; 240) assuming its basic position.
