Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Heizkessel zur Verbrennung von festen Brennstoffen, mit einem Heizmedium führenden Kesselkörper (1), einem Füllraum (2) für Brennstoff mit einer oberen oder seitlichen Befüllöffnung (3), einem Brennrost (4) mit einem darunter angeordnetem Aschekasten (5), einer Primärluftzuführung im Bereich des Füllraumes, einer Verbrennungsgasaustrittsöffnung (6) in eine nachgeschaltete Wirbelkammer (7) sowie mit einem sich anschließenden Wärmetauscher für das Heizgas.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zu Grunde, die Verbrennungsqualität von Heizkesseln und Öfen zur Verbrennung von festen Brennstoffen zu optimieren.
Erfindungsgemäß treten in die Wirbelkammer (7) in der Nähe einer Stirnseite in Radialrichtung von außen her Verbrennungsgase und/oder Sekundärluft ein und die Wirbelkammer (7) weist an der gegenüberliegenden Stirnseite eine Querschnittsverringerung im Bereich der Ausmündung für die Verbrennungsgase auf.
