  • Actuating means not illustrated remove the stop elements 53 only after the coming into operation of the above mentioned means 21 or 52 for controlling the descent of the cigarettes 3 in the channels 15b.
  • the machine according to the invention solves all the problems arising out of the production of packages containing a relatively high number of cigarettes and, first of all, the problem of placing the piles of cigarettes side by side as they feed out of the hopper channels.

Claims (11)

  1. Machine de formation et de mise en boîte de groupes de cigarettes, dans laquelle chaque groupe comprend un nombre déterminé de couches (4) et chaque couche est composée d'un nombre prédéterminé de cigarettes (3), la machine comprenant : une trémie (8) pour former, dans des canaux respectifs (15b) prévus au moins à sa sortie (9), un groupe de piles (18) de cigarettes (3) placées côte à côte, chaque pile (18) comprenant un nombre de cigarettes (3) égal au nombre de couches (4) et le nombre de piles (18) étant égal au nombre de cigarettes (3) dans une couche (4) ; des premiers moyens de transfert (19) servant à alimenter le groupe de piles (18), divisé en une pluralité de sous-groupes (34a, 34b, 34c) de piles (18) placés côte à côte à partir de la trémie (8) dans des poches respectives (29a, 29b, 29c) d'un premier contenant (27) ; des moyens d'acheminement (26) pour acheminer le premier contenant (27) entre au moins un premier poste d'alimentation (22), pour les sous-groupes (34a, 34b, 34c) de piles (18), et un second poste de transfert (30) pour les sous-groupes (34a, 34b, 34c) de piles ; des seconds moyens de transfert (35) destinés à alimenter les sous-groupes (34a, 34b, 34c) de piles (18) du premier contenant (27) à un second contenant (41) pour former le groupe (2) ; des troisièmes moyens de transfert (45) destinés à transférer le groupe (2) du second contenant (41) à une ligne d'emballage (7) ; des premiers moyens de compactage (31) pour les piles (18) des sous-groupes individuels (34a, 34b, 34c) étant interposés entre la sortie (9) de la trémie (8) et les poches (29a, 29b, 29c) du premier contenant (27) et des seconds moyens de compactage (42) pour les sous-groupes (34a, 34b, 34c) de piles (18) étant interposés entre le premier contenant (27) et le second contenant (41).
  2. Machine selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que le fond de la trémie (8) est équipé d'une sortie unique (9) servant à former le groupe de piles (18) placées côte à côte, les premiers moyens de transfert (19) étant un dispositif poussoir (20) comprenant un élément poussoir (21) pour chacun des canaux (18) servant à remplir simultanément les poches (29a, 29b, 29c) du premier contenant (27).
  3. Machine selon la revendication 2, caractérisée en ce que les poches sont des compartiments (29a, 29b, 29c) du premier contenant (27).
  4. Machine selon l'une quelconque des revendications de 1 à 3, caractérisée en ce que les moyens d'acheminement (26) possèdent un mouvement d'aller et retour entre le premier poste (22) et le second poste (30).
  5. Machine selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que le fond de la trémie (8) est divisé en une pluralité de trémies secondaires (8a, 8b, 8c) chacune équipée d'une sortie respective (9a, 9b, 9c) pour former un sous-groupe (34a, 34b, 34c) de piles (18) ; les premiers moyens de transfert (19) comprenant, en correspondance de chaque sortie (9), des dispositifs poussoirs (20a, 20b, 20c) chacun comprenant un élément poussoir (21) pour chacun des canaux (15b) de la sortie respective (9a, 9b, 9c).
  6. Machine selon la revendication 5, caractérisée en ce que les moyens d'acheminement comprennent un transporteur en boucle (48) supportant une pluralité de premiers contenants (27).
  7. Machine selon la revendication 6, caractérisée en ce que les poches (29a, 29b, 29c) de chaque premier contenant (27) sont indépendantes les unes des autres et sont rapprochées les unes des autres par paires.
  8. Machine selon l'une quelconque des revendications de 2 à 3, caractérisée en ce que les éléments poussoirs (21) correspondant à chacun des canaux (15b) comprennent au moins deux plaques superposées (23, 24) disposées transversalement par rapport à une paroi de base (10) de la trémie (8), les plaques (23, 24) effectuant simultanément, lors de chaque cycle de la machine, un mouvement d'aller à travers un canal respectif (15b) de la trémie (8) et un mouvement de retour, en étapes successives, à partir de la plaque supérieure (23), de manière à former des moyens de contrôle de la descente des cigarettes (3) dans les canaux (15b).
  9. Machine selon l'une quelconque des revendications de 2 à 3, et 8, caractérisée en ce que les éléments poussoirs (21) correspondant à chacun des canaux (15b) comprennent une plaque poussoir (51), chaque plaque poussoir (51) étant associée à des moyens de contrôle de la descente des cigarettes (3) dans le canal correspondant (15b), comprenant une plaque d'accompagnement (52), mobile avec un mouvement de va-et-vient vertical, transversal à celui des éléments poussoirs (21) le long d'un plan entre la plaque poussoir (51) et une paroi latérale du canal (15b) et à travers des fentes (10a) dans la paroi de base (10) de la trémie (8).
  10. Machine selon les revendications 8 ou 9, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend des éléments d'arrêt (53) pour les cigarettes (3) situés à l'entrée de chaque canal (15b) et aptes à se déplacer entre une position de fermeture et une position d'ouverture, pour respectivement arrêter la descente des cigarettes (3) et pour permettre la descente.
  11. Machine selon l'une quelconque des revendications de 1 à 10, caractérisée en ce que les premiers moyens de compactage (31) et les seconds moyens de compactage (42) comprennent des conduits (32) ayant substantiellement une coupe transversale rectangulaire et qui sont équipés de parois internes verticales convergentes (33), (43).
