Beim Vorwärtstransport der Papierbahnen ist die nachfolgend der Quertrennung angeordnete Transporteinrichtung 29 insofern deaktiviert, als beispielsweise eine Führungsrolle oder Führungswalze 41 von der Antriebswalze oder Antriebsrolle 43 entfernt in Position 1 angeordnet ist, sodass die Papierbahn widerstandsfrei durch den so entstehenden Spalt geschoben werden kann. Erst kurz vor oder beim Schneidevorgang bzw. bei oder kurz nach Beendigung des Schneidevorganges mittels beispielsweise einem Trennmesser 27 wird die Führungswalze oder Rolle 41 gegen die Antriebswalze oder Rolle 43 in Position 2 getrieben, wodurch das nun geschnittenen Papier 31 wegtransportiert wird. Die Funktionsweise der Transporteinrichtung 29 kann allerdings auch derart sein, dass die ungeschnittene Bahn durch die Abzugsrollen transportiert wird, nachdem das geschnittene Blatt 31 abtransportiert wurde. Dann wird die Abzugswalze wie eingangs beschrieben abgehoben, damit sich zumindest kurz vor dem Schneiden die Bahn widerstandsfrei strecken kann. Die Abzugs- oder Führungswalze 41 wird erst beim Schnitt zugestellt, das heisst gegen die Antriebswalze 43 getrieben. Es ist aber auch denkbar, dies bereits ganz kurz vor dem Schnitt zu tun, um das geschnittene Blatt zu fixieren. Claims (11)

  1.   10. A method for cutting paper webs, wherein the paper web is supplied and advanced at least substantially continuously in order to be introduced subsequently discontinuously into a transverse separating device, wherein the continuously advanced paper webs are looped after longitudinal separation through at least one upwardly open box-like container (17) in order to compensate the subsequent discontinuous processing in the transverse separating device by enlarging or reducing the loop(s), wherein the webs are driven by means of negative pressure into the container from below and/or into the container by blowing from above, characterized in that the paper webs leaving the container are braked due to processing in the subsequent discontinuous area of the transverse separating device by means of negative pressure, and the braking effect is lifted by cancelling the negative pressure in order to enable an acceleration and further transport of the paper webs.
  11. A method for cutting paper webs according to claim 10, wherein the paper web is supplied and advanced at least substantially continuously in order to be introduced subsequently in a discontinuous manner into a transverse separating device, characterized in that during the feed of the paper webs to the transverse separating device a transport device provided after the transverse separating device is deactivated in such a way that the feed of the paper webs can occur substantially free from resistance.
